I have challenged my downline and I also challenge YOU to share your handmade kindness….this comes in many different forms (it could be cards, scrapbooking, baking etc) To me with being the month of November….it is a month of Thanksgiving ~ a month to reflect and truly be thankful for all we have been given!
This is a super simple card that I know you could easily make….if you do not have the exact supplies…..no worries, just work with what you have – it truly doesn't matter as what matters is that YOU did something to make someones day!
Isn't this a fun card and oh so sweet. The heart is from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Die and I simply cut out the heart from the Navy base and then cut one out in Real Red.
Putting the two together and using the Tear n Tape makes it super easy to "hold tight" and then a run through Mr. Big Shot with the Happy Heart Embossing folder made the focal part shine!
OOPS! Silly Susan, I forgot to put in the scrolling store where the sentiment came from. It is from one of my
"keepers of all keepers" single stamps! –
Vivid Vases, I simple masked off the vases just to get the sentiment! I cannot tell you how much I have used this stamp set….just love it!
Well I hope that this post has truly touched your heart and has made you stop and think – I can do this…I can make a difference as I know you can, actually no doubt in my mind!
I adore everything about Jennifer McQuire and I say KUDOS to her for spear heading this awareness….
Do you know where this card is going? It is going right to my "local post office" with some cookies to thank them for helping me every time I walk through the door. (They have actually learned many of your addresses) because face it, I could not do what I do with my Stampin' up business without their help!
Card #1 DONE….already have Card #2 out and ready to write in. Please do not underestimate the power of YOU….as YOU make a difference!
Please feel free to leave me a comment and let me know your thoughts on Handmade Kindness! Have a super day and it's
TUESDAY so that means new weekly deals..
.please click here to see the offerings …..do you have a favorite?
Mine is the Flower Medallion Punch (as whenever there is a punch on sale…DONE DEAL as Stampin' Ups! punches are the best on the market) but the Old Olive Bakers Twine is a must have – You can see that on todays card that the bakers twine makes a difference….if you can, I would always have a stash of all colors to have on hand,
Let's all have a great day and I hope that you challenge yourself to Share Handmade Kindness!
This is a fabulous post and one that all should read. It does not take much to make another smile or otherwise make their day. I too enjoy doing for others and this idea is a super one! P.S. Love the card here but HOW is it done? Have a happy and lovely day and thanks for all that you do for so many!
Thanks so much, Susan, for your post today with Jennifer McGuire’s video. I totally agree that sending/receiving an unexpected card is such a easy thing to do to make someone feel good! And for all of us who LOVE to make handmade cards, it’s a great way to share something that gives us such pleasure or joy in the making of them!
A wonderful heart filled post. Simple is the way of a happy life. My husband and I live very simple and the stress that we do not have is amazing. Downsizing, donating Ect. Has made a difference. I love your card as always and is on my to make list. Thank you for all you do for all of us! Your pictures of all the animals always make me smile too
Yes, Super post. I can see making it in B & W for an anniversary card. Love it.
Some things I wanted to know . . . how is your ankle and how are your eyes?
🙂
I love this idea and will definitely be sharing extra handmade kindness this month. I see more cards in the making on the horizon.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful cards and beautiful personality.
I Love sharing hand made things with others and I love creating hand made items too! I’m getting ready for a trip to my local Post Office to ship several dozen cards to the M.D.Anderson Center in Texas. I’ve done all 40 of the challenges offered on Split Coast Stampers for the Breast Cancer Awareness month last month. It’s exciting to do things for a cause and know that others appreciate what you do. Have a wonderful day and go out and make someone smile!
That is why I am such an avid card swapper ! It is putting a visit and kind thoughts in a mailbox to someone . I love your sweet card and I love hearts ….what a treat for someone to receive !
What an inspiring post! It is truly a fabulous feeling when doing a random act of kindness….just a simple smile or “tip of the hat” can make someone’s day. Love your card and will definitely CASE. Thank you, Susan….you are good people!
Your card made me smile. I couldn’t access the video. Love the idea that you are giving the card and some cookies to the postal people! Teddy makes one of the postal workers day every time he sees her he barrels up to her for some petting. She gets such a kick out of him as he can see her a couple blocks away sometimes and drags me to her. She thinks he is so pretty and loving and swears he smiles when he sees her. There has been a few times she has gone to work with fresh basset drool on her clothes as Teddy knows when she walks to work.
Roberta’s comment made me smile as I have been to M.D. Anderson many times when we lived in Houston. They do some amazing work there.
Thanks for the challenge! I love this card. I am not into square cards the way you are (nothing against yours, at all, just not something I like to do), but I love the square on on the rectangle!
Cyberhugs!
We must talk soon! Wait til you hear this!
that card is a whole lot of adorable! Thanks for sharing, it definitely put s big smile on my face!
