Let’s get to today’s beauty pageant! There sure are many stampers out there that can strut that runway! YOU GO LADIES…let's STRUT!!!!
Does this make you take a deep breathe and smile? I sure did when I opened up this beauty! The colors are gorgeous …darn I wish that I could color/shade like this! This stamp set and punch IS carrying over and you are going to want to make sure that you have this punch for a super fun new stamp set in the new catalog.
Alene did just a beautiful job with this card and I hope that she will leave us a detailed comment on the colors/shading she did with this beauty! The little “centers” of the poinsettias are sooooo realistic – love it!
Oh Georgette….she always makes such fun cards and here is another one that is a smile maker! I would have never thought to have used this embossing folder and color for a Holiday Card but isn’t this super fun? The snowy slopes are festive and when you break this down, it is super clean and simple! FUN…SIMPLE…DONE!
Rosanne is another super talented stamper and I am over the moon with the “white” and cleanness of this card! What POPS to me is the embossing folder and then the itty bit of bling in the center of the snowflake. I just had to share with you the inside of this beauty as I never think to use the sentiment dies in the inside of the card….how about you? What a great statement!
O.k.- hold onto your hats (or coffee) – this is a super fun card and you bet that I am going to look up how to make this! Tonolia was super sweet to share with me where she learned this technique. If is on a video that Dawn Olchefske did…..You can click here to see the video (I’ll bet that there will be many of you clicking to it today….me too) – Many thanks for sharing this with us!
Naturally I love the fact that it is a FUN and DIFFERENT card but another thing is that it folds flat and will go in one of our regular envelopes?!?! That is always a plus!
Here comes a “Susan Card” – simple, clean, duplicable and fast! I loved how Terry used the reverse side of my hands down all time favorite embossing folder! Another element that I “turned the tide on” is the stapler that Stampin’ Up! sells….it’s a keeper as the staples are so small and the arm of it really goes into a card nicely! This would be a great card to mass-produce!
Here is a fabulous card from the last of the “3 Stamp-a-teers” Sharon is a sweetheart – I feel like I am the 4th one in this group of ladies and it would be a dream to be together for a weekend and have fun!
Sharon shows us how using DSP and lots of simple shapes creates a WOW effect and also I love the orientation of this card . The 3 accents are a perfect balance and again, here is another example of this fun Holiday DSP Stack – it’s a keeper!
Lastly a Holiday card from special Ellen. This is just beautiful and whenever John brings the mail in and there is a Ellen card, I smile. This card is both "merry and bright" and the accents of the snowflakes are the PERFECT fun touch for this cheery card! This is a great example of how our framelits can be "center stage" to be a perfect backdrop for a stamp!
Please leave some love for these ladies and if you have a specific question, please leave it and I will reach out to them or maybe they will answer them in the comments!
I think that it is super fun to see everyone’s ideas and hopefully it will get you in the mood for making gifts of art from your heart! Nothing beats a handmade anything…..never….EVER!
James held the fort down while we were out of town and I think he was a bit pooped from the dogs….trust me, when it rains there are always stacks of towels by the doors to wipe off 28 paws! For me they come in one at a time and stand on a towel and let me clean their feet, for him – he said it was mayhem!
I am rested, energized and ready to make some Santa’s today!!! Please feel free to email me as they saying goes…it’s great to be away but there is no place like home – YIKES…..is Thanksgiving REALLY this week?!?!

Another lovely parade of cards. I love all the sharing. Great, great ideas.
🙂
Fabulous cards ladies. Once again a display of great cards from coast to coast for your swap Susan. Thanks for making it possible. And don’t you think for one minute the 3 Stamp-a-teers haven’t thought about coming for a visit to the east for a slumber party full of paper, tape and glue! Maybe a bucket list event! And we can always drop the “3” and just make it “Stamp-a-teers” we believe in adoption. (you just need a scene of humor)
Once again fabulous!! Such an assortment of holiday cheer 🙂
Great cards with a wonderful variety of cute designs. Thanks so much for sharing the inspiration.
Stunning and beautiful! The talent is so amazing and wonderfully displayed. Sounds like James got his workout while you and hubby were on R and R.
My little card is in good company today. Thanks so much, Susan!
Another group of beauties, indeed! It’s fun to see all the array of talent out there. The “pop up” card is really fun to make and send…I learned from Dawn O’s tutorial also. It’s actually quite easy to do. Both Caleb and I laughed hard at the James story. :). Glad you had a nice time away.
Wow, some great ideas. More casing to come ?.
Another group of WOW, they are gorgeous! I see several I want to try and CAS. Thanks again for the swap. It’s fun to see everyone’s ideas. I would be with Karen if she heads east. Paper, tape, glue and punches in hand. Thanks too for the chuckle this morning. I could just picture your Jim with all the dogs and their wet paws. Something like a scene out of an old sit-com.
Ahhh my morning eye candy. Love your blog and all the cards. Talented people in the world. I love G. Huff’s card. So beautiful
These cards are beautiful!! I would be interested in hearing how to color those poinsettias as well. Thanks for sharing these gorgeous works of art, Susan. Have fun making Santas today ??
Another round of wonderful cards! Each one is so special!. Fun to know that the poinsettia set and punch will carried over with another set added. I didn’t pay attention to the retirement list. I had to smile at the crumb cake one with the little tree. I started with that but thought one tree looked too bare and three too crowded – I didn’t even think about using a piece of green sort of as a shadow! I tried adding snowflakes and all kinds of stuff mucking it up! Dawn does great tutorials too! Wish I was there to learn how to make the santas today with you. I am already tired of winter and we just had our first snow.
I could see James with all the paws to wipe each one saying me first and tumbling over themselves!
Derar Susan, Thank you so very much for a great display of beautiful cards. There is talent all over the place. I feel so honored to be in this great parade with so much wonderful talent. All of the cards are so beautiful. The coloring on A. Humphery’s card is so beautiful. You did an amazing job. All of You ladies and Susan have a wonderful stamping day. Have a very Happy Thanksgiving and a very Merry Christmas. God Bless you all. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
P.S. I agree I would love to join you some day to play at your house with paper, stamps, and all kinds of Stampin Up stuff. It would be great.
P.S.S. I really enjoyed your story of James with all those paws to wipe It must have been pretty funny.

What a thrill to see my card on a blog! The “coloring” is really easy. I stamped the poinsettia on Whisper White with Black Memento and then used a sponge dauber to lightly color the petals with Watermelon Wonder from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit. As I got closer to the center, I used more color. To make the darkest areas, I used the corner of the little ink pad directly on the paper. The centers are colored with Daffodil Delight. I used the same process for the leaves with Old Olive. After the coloring was complete, I cut them out. No need to worry about staying in the lines. To add dimension, I just wadded up tiny bits of Daffodil Delight paper and glued them to the center. BTW, I used Joyful Christmas for the stamp set and fussy cut the flowers. Have loved seeing everyone’s cards. So many ideas, so little time.
A sponge dauber would cover more faster too. Great idea. Love the hint about the little wadded paper balls for the center! Looks amazing and what great texture that would give. Thanks for the breakdown! I had not thought about the watermelon color. I have to try this!
