Good Friday to you…..yikes – this time next week we will seeing the joys that Santa brings! I hope that you can go to your kitchen….get a fork – then get some bakers twine, – a cup of coffee and see that there are other bow challenged people out there besides myself!
Sharon sent this to me and I will say – I totally laughed and then when I watched it (it actually took me several views) I thought how in the world do people come up with this stuff and then when I saw how many You Tube Videos there were out there in tying a bow with a fork….I really felt deflated! (I swear, I feel like I am on the back of the bus)

I laughed even harder as had just completed tying 50 bows for my Stamp of the Month Club Kits…..but I tried it and it works! I even tried it using 2 strands of bakers twine and it worked!
So I ask you…..

I’ve seen demonstrations before and couldn’t do it afterward. But this is the clearest verbal and visual explanation I’ve seen so I will try it again.
I make my bows the same way using my fingers. When I’m finished, I can actually make the bow larger or smaller. So much fun!
and you can use different size forks for bigger bows!
Can’t wait to try this, as I avoid any project that has a bow anywhere near it 🙂 it has been insanely busy right now because of my job as well as the Holiday fun so I haven’t had much time to play with my stamps lately. Argh, I can’t access the video can you or Sharon supply a name or something so I can access YouTube and enter that way? I don’t want to watch a plethora of fork tying bow videos since this seems to be the best from the comments.
Hey Susan, don’t we get to see the stamp of the month kits anymore? Talk about being at the back of the bus – I am feeling like I am under the bus or on the bus that won’t start lately. It could be a lot worse though so I am thankful for what few hours I have and Mike has a job and all the good things. Sorry, I am just sort of thawing out from our walk and feel a little sad. Plus, I just realized I didn’t make a purple XMAS card for a friend so now I gotta whip one up and get it in the mail. Geez, does it ever end?

Well…I make most by hand because when I have tried this before ….well, you could say I am FORK CHALLENGED LOL !
Will try this because she makes it look a lot easier than most .
If you have one of those comb-like quilling tools, you can do the same thing with it and have more size possibilities.
I have also used a large four prong fork to make bigger bows for presents. Found one in an antique store. Thank you for this video since it shows flipping the fork over which helps in making a more centered bow.
