Thursday fun with Polka Dots bring an instant smile to my face. I don't know why but polka dots are HAPPY DOTS! This fun paper is from the NEW Paper Stack called It's My Party!
There is something very unique about this paper stack….it is a 12 " X 12" paper stack…you will get (4) sheets of each print and it sells for $26.00. There are some fabulous prints in this stack and when I saw these polka dots…I was doing the happy….HAPPY dance!
Here is the sketch that we are working from this week!
If you follow my blog, (and I hope you do) that you know that I usually make cards for a specific person/event. This is for a very special young lady that is applying to colleges….she is soooo darn sweet and it has been a joy watching her grow (I actually had a baby shower for her Mom) – She is a peanut in stature but larger and as sweet as they come!
This weekend she will be hearing from her college that she early applied to so I am being super positive and I am hoping to take her this card as well as some of her favorite cookies! Please keep positive vibes coming her way!
I took the liberty of changing the orientation of this sketch/card and I also did something I rarely do….I covered the whole front with the DSP leaving no borders!
I thought that the sentiment was so super BIG and BOLD that it could go without a border! This is a super fun stamp set and I am excited for you all to see it when the new catalog is unveiled!! It coordinates with a kit but the stamp set itself is a keeper – lots of fabulous sentiments!
This is clearly one of those cards that you can clearly see is super easy! When you have the right tools….WOW – things come together in a jif! This punch, the Triple Banner Punch is an invaluable speed tool. I know, I know….cutting out a banner is not a huge deal but being able to punch it – WOW…fast and easy!
The other thing that I think makes this card special is the dashes and dots…that white gel pen sure is a great friend of mine!
Please take a peek on the Pals Paper Art Website and see all of the beautiful ideas – it is a fabulous parade of beauties and then play with us! That is even more fun…seeing your work – I know you can do it….if you need help uploading, please feel free to email me and I will be happy to help you!
Please pop back tomorrow….I have something FUN, PRACTICAL and you will be saying why didn't I think of that!

Love this card! It reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys with the colors!!!!
Thanks so much for sharing your ideas and projects. You always leave me wishing it were tomorrow with your subtle hints of “what’s to come”. Wishes for your Christmas season to be safe and joy filled.
Merry Christmas
Love this card…simple, and yet, gives a great message! The colors are so perfect together and I agree polka dots are happy dots ( it’s the start of a smiley ?)
Love the touch of doodling and bold simplicity!
Adorable card! I love, love, love polka dots 🙂
Great fun! Dream Big can be changed up to a big bold Thanks or happy birthday easily for another great card. Sometimes I like not having a border. I was trying to decide if I was just being lazy or frugal with my DP but if Susan can do it, I should have no problems justifying it! I can say I just like the look! I really like the paper as the dots are not totally round and perfect – makes it just that much more fun in my thinking! The fun name of the paper is “It’s my party.” Well, as in SNL “Party on Garth!”
Terrific card! I have so much DSP (all old) that this would be one of the best ways to use!
“I’m dreaming of a clear-desk January! Just like the ones I’ve never known. Where the desk-top glistens, and husband listens to sounds of the Big Shot cranking dies right through.
“I’m dreaming of a clear-desk January, when I can finally say, ‘I can join Stampin’ Up’ now that my stuff’s all set up, and Christmas and traveling’s out of the way.”
Okay, I just did that on the fly. Too much Christmas music this week, I guess! (And too much unpacking!)
I hope you have a Merry and Bright fun-filled Christmas!
Cyberhugs!
Thanks for the encouragement! I am such a perfectionist and love to add to many things to my cards. I need to let go and do simpler things.
Keep up the good work!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Fabulous card Susan! Clean and graphic, love it!
The night of navy against crumb cake and white is smashing. Love your interpretation of the sketch. Stampin’ Hugs.
Oh Bridget you brightened my day with your poem/song! I don’t see how you can move back and forth across the ocean and know where everything is at all times. Unpacking is the worst probably! Have a great holiday!
Polka dots make me smile too! Love Macy with Crumb Cake! Sweet card!
Oh so cute and I love those pen accents!
