Today's post is another super quick post but you will see that some added touches gave this clean and simple card a bit of a different twist from yesterday! As I shared yesterday, this is a super affordable card.
I have a confession, I do purchase Washi Tape and then I totally forget about using it….sound familiar? Today I took a piece of scrap white and added 3 pieces of washi and then used the negative part from my cut of tree and PRESTO!
I shared with you yesterday that I would give you the dimensions if you wanted to make this fun card! Remember to check out the End of Year Sale as the Merry Moments DSP stack and the real red envelope paper are on sale! (There are a bunch of keepers in there)
- The base is a vertical note-card, 3 1/2" X 5" from the thick Whisper White Card Stick
- The DSP Plaid is 3" X 4 1/2" (YEP, you can get (2) cards from a sheet of paper) and then the extras – perfect for tags or 3 x 3 cards! If you choose to mat it like I did today, it is just a "smidge larger", 3 1/8" X 4 5/8"
- The Mossy Meadow is 2 1/4" X 3 1/4" and then I used the smallest tree from the Peaceful Pines Bundle to cut it out. Again, just add 1/8" if you want to mat it and either leave it plain or add the washi tape. (I like the washi tape!)
- Scraps again to the rescue….just stamp the sentiment and the use the word window to give a quick POP out and then do the same in red, cut it in half….adhere it – a weenie bit of a dimensional and PRESTO – DONE!
With this being such a busy time of the year, I think that this is a super sweet card to make up and have on hand with the thank yous around the corner. I adore this paper stack and I agree with Sharon's comment from yesterday, this is a great stack and we are sorry to see it leave. I say….if you adore these plaids and polka dots that are the focus to this stack, than I say GO FOR IT….it is on sale!
Do you have a favorite…??? I hope that showing you these 2 day posts help you to see that there are many ways to make clean and simple cards!
Please feel free to leave me a comment and do not forget that tomorrow will be the last day for you to take advantage of the weekly deals – the precision plate is a must have and why not when it is on sale for 25 % off!
Please do not hesitate to have a family or friend get in touch with me if they would like to purchase for you a gift certificate! With the new catalog around the corner, you will love it! I am an email away!
See you tomorrow…it is the new (and some old) PRODUCT SHARE TIME!

Love your stepped up version for Sunday’s card. I can’t get over how the real red makes your card just pop! You get a gold star for today!
Wow, the Real Red makes this card POP! Love it!! I also love the addition of washi tape. I have a TON of washi tape that I forget to use. I did use some on Christmas tags this year and have made a pledge to use it more often. As always, thanks for sharing. I appreciate the dimensions today, too. Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!!

Love it!

I love the step up card! I also forget to use washi tape. A great idea to use up scraps too.
Wow what a difference little changes make! Love the real red matting and the polka dot tree! I forget about washi tape as well but now I am going to go case a card that I just adore (hint)!
Wow, you stepped it up alright and I love it! I loved yesterday’s but the layers really made it pop and who wouldn’t love that little polka dotted tree! My problem with the washi tape is that I like one or two of the rolls and use them up and don’t use the rest. Maybe we need to have a washi swap of the actual tape – just kidding. I also love both of these because they are super mailable! They don’t have to have dimensionals on them. I made a card last night using some thick stickers which turned out so cute but way too thick so it needs extra postage. I still need to make about 4 cards to mail and then 6 for hand carrying. I could just kick myself now for not getting this paper pack and the tree bundle. Maybe I still need a treat for myself so I am ready for next year! Happy holidays everyone!
I am a sucker for polka-dot. Great idea to use the washi tape too. I too forget how much fun that little bit of tape adds to a project. Thanks for the memory jogs. Great cards.
Love today’s version the most. I’m like you, I forget about my washi tape too. Maybe that will be a goal for the new year. Have a great week.
