Happy Monday and a BRRRRRRRR it’s cold Monday here in Maryland but then I guess it is January! We have been super lucky with the weather but the weathermen says that it could possibly be snow on Friday as promised, I am showing you another card that is appropriate for Valentines or just a “love” card in general!
I think that this stamp set, Watercolor Wonder is easily in the top 10 “keepers” in the Annual Catalog! It is soooooo versatile……sooooooo on trend……a fun, fun set!
As I shared with you before, I am not a huge believer in purchasing a stamp set (unless it makes your heart pitter patter) for a holiday that is just one day! Before I get a bunch of emails, let me clarify that – Easter is a season…..Christmas is a season…
This stamp set covers it all…so in my eyes – IT’S A KEEPER! Is it also so forgiving – what do I mean about that???? Easy….you can do a stamp “here and there” and it always seems to work out! This is the best – right????
I have blogged before about the other stamp I used….I call it a “sleeper stamp” – WHY…..EASY = most of you flip right past it in the catalog but then when you see it – you say, “Where did that come from” This is what I call a classic…..I ask you, How long has ruled paper been around? – bYou can check it out at the end of the post.
You can see that I matted it with Blushing Bride but you bet that I used the inside of card stock as WHY NOT???? Use up as much as you can! I am a HUGE believer in this and once you get used to it – it becomes second nature to you!
You know me, I love my envelopes and today is a double-whammy! It is a great thing to make your mailman smile…..remember, kindness matters!
I hope that today’s post has shown you that these stamp sets combined create a fun, simple and classic card! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions or need help!
Tomorrow is another Valentines Day….and then I promise, I’ll take a break! (well for a couple days) I just know that this is the time for you to pace yourself – I am super proud that I have all of Will’s (my oldest peep that is a teacher) Valentines for his “munchkins” = they are super cute but more importantly – THEY ARE DONE!
Please do not forget that tomorrow is the last day for you to take advantage of the product share as I will be ordering tomorrow and having it expedited so you can have your goodies in a snap! Until tomorrow!

Such a cute card, Susan. I love the colors, Writing Notes stamp and the big Love stamp, as well as the lined envelope. So cute.
Brrrr here too! I love how you did this card and the placement of the stamped images! So clever to do it on “lined paper” as well. The writing notes stamp is overlooked but seeing how you used it made the light bulb go off in my head (most of the time it is on dim). Enjoy this cold day!
Super fun!
Very cute. I like that you have the background slightly turned. This time of year always seems cold here. I think the bright colors of Valentine cards helps beat the winter blahs. Thanks for all the ideas.
What is there not to love about this cutie? I can safely say I love everything about it! I feel like I am back in school doodling though I was not into hearts that much back then. I loved drawing paisley patterns! Anyway, this is just so fun and totally something I would do. Love the liner and was it the basis for your two colors of ink? Of course the tilt is the best! Easy peasy! I wish I had the watercolor set now, maybe someday since it is on my wish list, the sleeper that it is! I do have a smaller stamp that looks like the lined paper – the size of a little pad of paper that I bought ages ago. Good deal Lucille I love this card. Speaking of Lucille – this is something I could see Lucille ball making for Ricky!
Hey Susan, I had to literally stop what I was doing . . . (transcribing) and make this card. I made four of them. I used what I had and I love them. Too bad I have to go out now. I’ll send you a picture tonight.
{Of all the days I made plans . . . it had to snow! Even this little amount makes me scared to walk. Don’t want to cancel my plans though.}
🙂
Hi Susan,
I have an awfully busy schedule this year, but still want to make cards for the Veterans for our Senator. This looks like the “Perfect” card calling my name. Thanks…..I think I can swing it now!
Your card reminds me of one I made for Dan and put in his work bag one day. After the three “Love” stamps I used the “You” from the Work Of Art stamp set…i.e., it read “Love Love Love You”. I also used the “Writing Notes” as the base and that’s what really help make it kid-like and adorable. I love how you tilted your top layers! Your colors are terrific, too.
By the way, I think Valentine’s Day should be a yearlong season…we should always be doing things so show how much others are loved and appreciated. 🙂
Fun card today, Susan. I have this stamp set too and use it for so many cards. It’s a “keeper” as you would say. Im really into trying your idea of looking at the sets we own in new ways to create our holiday cards. Thanks for that reminder!
I loved this card so much, Susan, I plagerized it with stamps I have that are a bit similar! It came out so cute! Thanks for all the terrific ideas you post on your blog. I love your taste and the things you put together.
I’m having trouble getting to your site. Christmas Eve keeps coming up?????
