Today is February 18th….and this day is SUPER special to me as it is my wonderful Dad’s 85th Birthday! It is also the day for another PPA challenge and I LOVE this one! You can see that I have changed it a bit….but that is “just fine” – That is what is great – we can make things work for what we need it to be…and I was happy with the end result!
I hope that you can POP over to the Pals Paper Art site and see what the designers came up with….you’ll smile – there are some great keepesr! Thanks Amy for such a great sketch…..please play along with us – I would love to see your work in the gallery!
Turning 85 is sooooo special….and especially since it is my wonderful Dad! Guess where he is? In Myrtle Beach with his 3 siblings – IS THAT GREAT OR WHAT! They get together for 2 weeks every year and I am so happy that they are together….very, very special!
I chose to “play up|” the fun paper from the It’s My Party Paper Stack! Remember, this is a 12 X 12 Pack of paper…..sooooo festive and just screams a huge smile! I took it to the next step and covered some yummies for them….a simple 1″ X 3″ and then some glue dots – a perfect little something! The glue dots really hold tight, especially if you are mailing them.
The “Main Star” of the post, (well other than my dear DAD)….is the Number of Years Bundle…THIS IS SOOOOOO HOT – and I think that Stampin’ Up! is super surprised. with the hype that it is having….it is such a great bundle and you can clearly see how classic and fun it is!
I have blogged about this before…..I learned a trick that I love….using white fun foam – I purchase it at Amazon, (click here to see) and it is SUPER to cut with the dies and big shot…..and the depth is fantastic! I cut it with the fun foam and then again with the thick white card stock!
You can see that it is a square card….a 4 1/2″ card and yep….making my own envelope was fun! Remember, the envelope punch board is on SALE THIS WEEK…….how can you go wrong???? You simply cannot!
Below you can see how I also jazzed up the inside – is this the best sentiment or what? I know that I am guilty of not showing you the inside…and here you go – a little fun at the bottom and a sentiment – BAM…..GOOD TO GO!
Did you like the “Happy” = that is from the Age Awareness Stamp Set…..it is a photopolymer so it is super easy to stamp and as you can see – it is super fun! (click on the image in the store at the end of the post)
Sometimes when a new catalog comes out….we tend to forget about all of the “good stuff” that is in the Annual Catalog…..I think that this is a FUN set!
I know that my dear Dad is going to love this card…he always tells me that he “keeps my cards” – Happy, Happy special day to a very special person. Many happy and healthy returns…..IS TODAY YOUR BIRTHDAY????? If so…..please leave me a comment to let me know! Thanks for your time in popping in…..this is a special bundle and one that I highly recommend it!
Until tomorrow

BEAUTIFUL CARD and sincere HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES to your dear Father – God bless him! I adore the numbers and the way you added the foam for dimension. Truly awesome (as always)!
Good Morning Susan, first HAPPY BIRTHDAY to your DAD! How wonderful is that. I got that white foam from Amazon, but haven’t opened it yet. Love the colors you chose and the black stitching is great. Lovin’ the inside too.
🙂
Susan,
Happy 85th birthday to your Dad! Hope he has a grand day and a wonderful time with his siblings in Myrtle Beach.
Love your card! The Number of Years stamp set with the matching Framelits is a fantastic bundle.
Stampin’ hugs,
Kathy
Happy birthday to your dad, Susan, and hope he has loads of fun with his siblings! What a great card and I am sure your dad is going to love it! ??
This is a great card for your dad. I know he will love it. I love the colors and the big numbers. The framelits really make it easy, don’t they? Wow! He’s 85 and counting! Good for him.
How great! It is my daughter’s birthday also! And Monday is my mother’s 93rd birthday! I made her a special numbered card yesterday. She keeps them on her end table all year! Happy birthday to your dad. I know he’ll enjoy his special card all year too.
Beautiful and festive birthday card for dear dad! Love the tip about the foam numbers . . . so much 3-D action!
Wonderful card for such a wonderful occasion! I sure hope I am in Myrtle Beach for my 85th!
A super card for a super duper dad! He will love it AND the candy nuggets from what you tell us. One of the characters in a mystery series I love – Henry, who is in his 80s goes on vacations with his sibs too who are all older than he is. What a hoot that is. Can you just imagine the stories they would tell? Wouldn’t that be something to have them record a bunch for the generations to enjoy?
Card, you rocked the challenge too. Fun! I wonder if there are 85 candles on the piece you used? Love the inside too. Those foam numbers are the best! Great job as always! Happy birthday to your dad!
This is such a special occasion that allowing the “85” to take center stage was genius. Love the fun foam tip!
Happy 85th Birthday to your dad! I love how you used the sketch to make such a wonderful card for your dad. I have been saying for some time now that I need to try some of these sketch challenges. You continue to inspire me!
I never would have thought to use fun foam! Brilliant idea. I hope your father had a wonderful birthday and enjoyed his fabulous card!
Adorable, Susan! Great choice of paper! I love the foam board numbers!
OMG! I absolutely love the foam trick! I think I’m going to try it….love love love it!
Such a fun and festive card! I love the use of fun foam and the faux stitching. Happy 85th and many more to your dad!
I love your fun foam trick and that your dad is enjoying 85!! Congrats to him!
