This is a fun 2 day post I have for you this weekend! I have shared with you many times…that picking the classics are the way to go and this Six Sided Sampler bundle is just that….a classic! If I were you, I would definitely purchase this as a bundle ~ you will get an instant 15% off and also you will use this punch over and over….even it you do not use it with the stamp set!
While I have been away I have been trying to challenge myself to use more of a variety of color combinations – do you ever feel like you get “stuck” on using the same “go-to” colors again and again?
Another thing I have share with you many time is….is the resources that we have with the beautiful catalog for inspiration! Turn to page 105 in the Annual Catalog and you will see that I CASED this card…made some changes…and PRESTO – a fun card!
I also knew that I wanted to use Very Vanilla as my goal was to play with the “blue” color and I wanted to experiment the difference the color looks when it is stamped on the Very Vanilla.
The colors I used were : Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Pool Party. Don’t they look completely different? There is a subtleness to doing this and I think it is a fun way to use a whole color palette!
I also shared with you that while I am away, I am trying to use products that I do not use a whole bunch….to fall in love with them again…as after all ~ if I bought them the first time….I really liked them so why not dust them off the shelf and re-purpose them.
I have not used this butterfly in a while and actually today I am using both of the framelits; the Bold Butterfly and the Butterflies….it works perfectly as you can layer them on top of one another – PRESTO…fly away beautiful butterfly! I think layering them onto of each other works perfectly and it gives the butterfly more stability for you to curl up the wings!
You can also see that I score all the way around on the overlay onto of the base. I like to score it and allow the raised side be the focal side….just a personal preference! You simply cannot go wrong with how you decide to line up your hexagons and using the combination of the “green glue” and dimensions gives this not only interest…but also instant depth with little work!
It is as simple as this…STAMP ~ ADHERE~ SMILE! 🙂Â
Do you notice the envelope flap? I used the Honeycomb Embossing Folder and then green glue to the rescue to make the mailman smile! I am super excited for you to see tomorrows card…same card, just a couple of minor changes and then you can make the decision which one works for you!
Hannah arrived safely and she said that as she was landing there was the most beautiful double rainbow…this is our last weekend here and hopefully the rain will hold off today….this sport goes on even if it is pouring but we will scratch if we feel it is unsafe. It is amazing how they work on the footing to make it ride-able, fingers crossed Hannah can show!
We are almost to the middle of the month….which means that Sale-A~Bration is coming to an end….double check the basics…and this is a great time to stock up on the staples….and then you can earn a FREEBIE – I have a great card next week that will tantalize you for a stamp set….thanks for popping in and I hope to see you in the morning!

I smiled when I saw your card this morning. It is a great card with all the different stamps used on the hexagons. I checked the one in the catalog, but like yours much better in blues. As always, I’m looking forward to tomorrow’s card to see the changes. That’s great Hannah arrived and I’m keeping my fingers crossed all goes well for her rides. Take care.
Good Morning Susan,
Hope you are nice and dry and cozy. Hope your day goes just the way you want it to go. Love this card as blue is my absolute favorite color. I love the arrangement and the sentiment. Hmmmm, wonder what the step up will be?!
🙂
Oh those beautiful tropical blue colors!!! Spring fever has definitely struck here at my house. I am thinking you smiled a few times at this card yourself…..how could you help it! Glad Hannah arrived safely to the tune of a beautiful rainbow no less….. Have a wonderful weekend!!! Hope the sun is shining where you are.
I’ve got the blues for your card! It is so pretty and refreshing. Their card in the catalog just blends into the page and I had barely noticed it at all. Looking at it here compared to yours, well ugh to theirs. Your card would make me want to buy the set more so. Just my preference. Then, you plan to step it up? Oh boy! Safe travels to you and your family on their journey back home. So glad you all are safe and dry.
Love the blues– love the card!
Such a sweet card. Looks like we’re all in agreement that the blues work great! Can’t wait to see it tomorrow!
Absolutely stunning – I adore this! So happy you are okay and that Hannah arrived in time for dinner! Blessings to you all and thanks for your continued inspiration!
Love it! The colors are so beautiful…makes me smile!
