Good Thursday to you and you know what that means…time for a challenge with the Pals Paper Art Challenge. Today is a sketch challenge and look who is the guest designer today, yours truly!
Now I hope that you play along, especially since I came up with the design – I wanted to keep it super simple so hopefully many of you will play along!
Did you look at this inspiring sentiment and say….where in the heck did this came from? Making inspirational cards are always great to have on hand and did you notice…I am still using up DSP….I have a ? for you…
Have you been trying to use up your DSP???
This sentiment “dream BIG” is from the Photopolymer Stamp set called Enjoy the Little Things. (love this name of the stamp set) I’m a HUGE fan of the photopolymer stamps as I adore the ease of being able to see right where you are going to stamp.
This is a stamp set that you have not seen blogged a bunch about…but I invite you to look at it and break it down…there are some keepers in here. I know that many of you love stripes and using that small square stamp would be fun background and then POP a sentiment in front (sounds like I need to do a post on it)
I followed this sketch really, really simple and using up the Bohemian DSP worked perfectly for me today. My mission is to try to use up as much paper as I can before the new catalog comes out….as we all know what will happen…we will want it and guess what? –
I GET IT…AND I’M WITH YOU!!!
When you get to the end of the post and you see the supplies that I used ~ you will see that I used both a punch as well as a circle framelit. To me, these are both “speed tools” and there are times that I like seeing just a “smidge” larger (the effect is great)
The dashes and dots were also the POP factor to jump these sentiment up and off the page. I hope that you can see how using your DSP (even if it is a busy print) just works. I have been trying to inspire you to use up what you have, we all love having a stash of cards ready to go when needed or also making extras is a great gift to give (everyone always appreciates handmade kindness of cards.
A 1/4″ piece of Rich Razzleberry Scraps and then the DSP under it was the perfect accent to finish this card. I know that I do many cards like this and there is a simple reason….
- I like it
- You can get (12) envelopes lined like this) as I cut the paper to 2″ X 6″
Works for me….how about you!?!?
Here you your “scoop picture” – do not forget that I line up all of the products at the very end and all you need to do is a simple click and you are good to go!
I do hope that this card has inspired you to dream BIG…and that is one thing that we can never stop doing…dream…dream…dream – I am a firm believer that we all can achieve what ever we want – start small ~ think big, this is a saying that one of my peeps always told me as I admit, I am very hard on myself so I try to remember his wise words.
Many thanks for stopping in today and I feel very blessed and honored to be a part of the PALS and also to be on the design team. Remember that….little saying above, start small ~ think big…well in a million years I would have never thought that I would be blogging…being a part of a great design team as after all, I just purchased the starter kit to get a great deal and then be done….(I’m so glad I stayed…I love and appreciate my cyber friends) 🙂

Congrats! Love your sketch! Your use of DSP, the dashes and the colors go perfectly together. Well done! Yes, I have been using my DSP thanks to your inspiration, Susan.
Love your design. Will definitely keep this sketch as I could see using it for many occasions. Like the rich razzleberry accent too. Thanks for all the tips.
Great card!!!! Excellent use of DSP!!!! Another winner, Susan!!!!! Congratulations!!!!!
Congrats on the sketch! It is an easy one to duplicate. I love the DSP you used and that you are inspiring us to use up our current stash of DSP to be ready for the new upcoming catalog. Great job! Have a great day.
Love the sketch Susan! Yes, I am always looking for a way to use up DSP… when I first became a demo they had a deal going where you got a free package of DSP every month if you placed a demo order…..I am still trying to use that up! I have ended up donating a bunch of it just to de-stash a little. I also like to use it to make envelope liners, that will take up a 6X6 piece of DSP and I love lined envelopes! Glad I found your blog again, I missed your daily updates!
Great sketch! Congrats, Susan. Awesome card and awesome advice given by your peep! You may have started small with your crafting but you have definitely grown big! I look forward to your blog each day and you know the impact you’ve made on our lives here. Have a great day!
Hey Susan! Congrats on the sketch. Very nice. Very Susan. Love the use of the DSP!

Congrats on being featured on this week’s challenge. Love your “Susan” design. Will try to play along and will see what we come up with. Thanks for the inspiration!
Fun sketch, Susan! Love the combination of sweet patterns and bit of doodling on the sentiment. The envelope flap is the perfect pairing!
Great sketch and great card! Love the mix of pattern and color!
Super sketch, Susan! I will use it again! I love the way you used the DSP, which I am trying to use up! The stars were a great touch with that big sentiment. 🙂
I AM dreaming big that I will be able to see more normally. Like the sketch and I will use this as some thank you cards.
Such a fabulous card for this amazing sketch! I enjoyed playing along with it and I know I will use it again.
