***sorry for the delay this morning….the computer and I were not getting along last evening*** 😈
In keeping with the theme of the week…
USE UP YOUR DESIGNER SERIES PAPERS
Today’s card is showcasing just that plus (2) of my favorite stamp sets…Watercolor Words and Flower Shop. When you get to the end of this post you will see that I just showed the Flower Shop as a bundle….well yep – I did that on purpose as you know that I do not steer you wrong, this set you really will want the matching punch!
I think coordinating punches are one of the best “speed tools” we can have and today’s card you can clearly see that the flowers are popped out perfectly….and that makes us smile! 🙂
It truly does not get any easier than this…I must admit, there are days that I look at my cards and think why does anyone need to see this as it is so simple and perhaps a bit boring….but remember when we have talked about developing a “style” that is in your comfort zone ~ well this is my comfort zone.
White card base…a layer on top…a 1″ piece of DSP…and the stamping….DONEÂ = works for me!
In the above picture I popped up one of the flowers with one dimensional and then the flower to the right, I “doubled” up on the dimensionals – sometimes I think this just gives an extra touch, creating extra depth. The white accents in the middle of the flowers are a soft touch and they are much easier to mail (as the are rounder)
Let’s chat about this sentiment…don’t you just LOVE the font and the carefree script look it gives? I will be a sad Susan if this set, Watercolor Words gets on the retired list…I adore this set and have used it over and over and never get tired of it….this is what I call a true blue keeper set! (remember this list of retired products will be unveiled on Monday)
One thing that I do know…the Flower Shop Stamp set will be carrying over. Stampin’ Up! listed a very short list of some stamp sets that were in the catalog in case people wanted to make swap cards for the event that is taking place right now in Salt Lake City…….this makes me happy as I love these flowers.
Let’s pull it all together in the last picture for the day…I love it – how about you???? Simple, Clean, Special….I could go on and on. Now I ask you – can you see yourself making this card?
I say…PULL OUT THAT PAPER that I know you have and make some cards. You will feel so much better using up your DSP and then the bonus – you have some cards on hand so when you need them…you are good to go!
Have a great Saturday and my fingers are crossed that the cyber gods and I just were having a “moment yesterday”….it is to be a beautiful and SUNNY day here…no reason not to be happy and blessed with that!

I definitely needed to see this! Not simple! Not boring! I love it! I love your simple elegant cards!!! Keep ’em coming and good luck with the cyber gods!
I love this very pretty card, Susan, with the flowers and the simple sentiment. The strip of DSP really anchors the card. I love the simple design. Enjoy the weekend.
OH….LOVE IT SUSAN. Enjoy the sunshine…it is already gorgeous in Ohio!!
NEVER BORING – ALWAYS NEED TO SEE IT. I LOVE your clean and simple style. Keep it up. PLEASE. I learn so much from you. Your blog is my favorite.
Don’t make me come down there! 🙂
Yes, I love your cards, clean and simple and elegant. I agree with Sharon. You are a great Upline too!
🙂
Well worth the wait! Love the layout and colors. I agree with the others….your cards and blog are my fav. Have a great sunny day!
A wonderfully simple layout that you dressed up with your distinctive style of “morse code” edges of dashed and dotted lines on the sentiments!!
Boring, I think not! I love this card and this is definitely one I would make! This is what I call a classic as you can just change up the sentiment or change up the colors and you have a totally different card. I personally love the mint macaron .So, you teased us with one on the list, how about the watercolor wishes? Wonderful as is!
Oh, I love everything about your card ! I like both stamp sets that you used . I have that Watercolor Words and love it ! Have the cute Pansy Punch ,but never got the flowers because there was always something else that got ordered so this one went on the back burner . It will be on the list for sure next order . I like that you give us all the little details because a lot of us have stamped for years ,but don`t know it all !!!
Happy Saturday !
Soft and sweet. I love it. I love that you used white centers for the flowers. What color ink did you use? It seems much lighter than my mint macarroon.
Clean and sweet card…a very “Susan” creation. I too love the Watercolor Wishes set. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s version. Enjoy your weekend!
I agree with everyone else…not boring at all. Love the card and love that you share all of the details. Where would we be without you, Susan!!
Uh oh — I see you had mint macaron shown in the compilation of items used to make this lovely card. I missed it earlier and also spelled it wrong! My bad!! Sorry!
Waving at Chris from Iowa!!
Love your card but I have a ?? I used this punch a week or so ago and had a really hard time lining up the punch with my stamped flower! Do I remember that there is a problem with the punch? Please advise, thanks! And , yes I do love the stamp set and punch but the punch is frustrating!
I’m late, I’m late, I’m late!!!! Spring fever struck me early this morning and I have been spring cleaning all day. That almost never happens!
Love the card, the color, and I have the bundle!!!! That doesn’t always happen either!!!! After reading all the comments….I agree with everyone!!!! Hope you have had a fun and productive day too!!! Thanks for the great card, Susan……I appreciate what you do!!!!?
