Good Morning! Today’s blog is all about Tricia. I am overwhelmed with the emails I have received about doing something for Tricia. I thought about doing a HUGE blast of cards but with me getting ready to be away I was fearful that the timing was not going to be the best….so how about PLAN B!
(Caleb….if you have your Mom’s I-Pad – HIDE IT FROM HER….)
Let’s SHOWER TRICIA with a BLAST of well wishes for a speedy recovery. I do hope that you can take a moment from your day to wish this special young Mom well wishes from an extensive surgery!
20+ years ago Tricia was in an accident and recently she underwent a 10+ surgery on her jaw. We can all imagine the pain and frustration we would have. Naturally she is very limited to being able to see the computer so Calen is her buddy, again!
I want to share with you quickly how my relationship came about….I cannot tell you when it was but I received an email from Tricia that her son Caleb was having a super hard time with the passing of their families Jack Russell, Willie.
Caleb had a love for Eddie and Eddie help him through the passing of WIllie. As we all can imagine, Caleb was having a hard time without his buddy Willie and my blogs cheered him up and he was always excited to see what the animals were up to!
Tricia is a SUD and even though we have never met….WE HAVE MET – there is an instant connection between us. I keep a picture of Caleb at my work area and trust me, I smile everyday! He is very special and but does he love his Mom!
Because I knew how much Caleb loved Eddie, I reached out to Tricia the day we made the decision to let Eddie be at peace. I felt I needed to do this as this little boy has become so attached to Eddie through my blog. I didn’t want him to look at my blog and blind-sighted. This is another thing that I adore about Caleb…he reads my blog! 🙂
Please know that we never know who touches our lives and everyone has “stuff going on in their lives” – I feel so lucky and blessed to have this wonderful family in my cyber life……it would be the BEST to meet one day but for now….I can share my love and support to her with a speedy and painless recovery!
There is no doubt in my mind that Caleb and Dan are taking amazing care of their PRINCESS !!! Speedy recovery my friend! I loved this inspirational quote…it is soooooo true – this is a wonderful family! I THANK YOU for reaching out to me…and look what happened – we are stuck with each other! 🙂
p.s. – Caleb – you can show you MOM after people leave their love with comments!
You are a great boy…I am so proud of you!

Have a speedy recovery Trcia. You will be in my prayers for today and many tomorrows.

Tricia, wishing you a speedy recovery! You will be in my thought and prayers!
Oh my gosh, you guys! I am SO surprised and blown away by all the love and support you’ve sent me!! Susan, I am in absolute shock that you devoted your entire daily post to me…this shows what a wonderful and beautiful person you truly are, and I am blessed to call you my friend.
First, I must tell you that Caleb and Dan both kept the secret about your post until Caleb came home from school this afternoon. Caleb said that he saw his name in bold this morning and he “stopped at the last second” from bringing me the iPad. Then, he actually HID the iPad from me. HaHa! My “guys” concocted a story that you hadn’t posted your card yet. (Caleb explained this was Dan’s idea–he was worried it was too close to telling a lie, since you really had posted something). 🙂
We’ve spent the last while reading through all the posts as a family, and the comments are all so heartfelt and sweet. I really cannot express how much it means to me. I’ve had tears streaming down my face as Dan reads them out loud. My mom is here, and she cannot believe the friendships we’ve formed through Susan’s “Simple” blog.
I’ve known for quite awhile this surgery needed to be (re)-done, but it was such a major surgery that I dreaded it and therefore, put it off until I just couldn’t physically wait any longer. I had a team of three wonderful surgeons who did the 10+-hour surgery and I can already tell they did a tremendous job reconstructing my jaw and mouth…truly a life-changing operation.
I will write more when I’m able. Right now, still only two weeks post-op, the swelling around my eyes makes it hard to focus on the computer screen too long. I will try to respond to everyone’s comments a little at a time over the next few days. Until then, Thank You, once again, for your encouragement, thoughts, and prayers! You made my day!!!
Your friend,
Tricia
P.S. Chris R., I received your card today! What a delightful surprise. Thank you so much!!
Wishing all the best for you Tricia!
