Hi. I am glad that you popped in today as today is a special day for me. It is my 4th Anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I admit, I thought that my time with Stampin’ Up! would have been over 3 years, 11 months ago as the only reason I joined was to support my habit and get a HUGE order at 30%% off and be done.
I knew that I would be “alive” until the end of September that year as Stampin’ Up! lets you have a “buffer” quarter if you do not meet you minimum so I sat back and took the PALS in….I did not tell a soul except Mary Fish (Dah – she’s my upline) and naturally my dear John (but I admit, I told him after the fact)….it was something that I thought I needed as I loved the products and I really, really wanted all of the ink pads and markers, (that was my main goal)
Keeping this little secret to myself and finding it super fun to stamp…I saw that there was a leadership convention open to anyone in the fall….anyone??? I am anyone….with the support of John saying…“you should go” I thought to myself – I do not know a soul…I have never sold a thing, I have no business going – but then John again said, “Susan, you know what it is like to go to a leadership event (as I was very active with Creative Memories).…and whenever you came home from a leadership event, you were always so happy and fulfilled”
The rest is history….I took a leap of faith and looked for a roommate to share the expenses and she was wonderful. Deb is from Wisconsin and I always call her “roomie” – I met an instant friend for life….that is what this whole crazy thing is about….making relationships and sharing handmade kindness.
I feel s blessed to have Stampin’ Up! and YOU in my life….This little thing that we go is just total fun and sooooo rewarding. Please know that YOU can do anything you set out to try….please keep making others and yourself smile by making cards…it does matter! 🙂
Ok – enough about this special day for me….but it could be a LUCKY DAY for you!!!! I am offering BLOG CANDY for you if you leave me a comment…and tomorrow I will let the lucky person know who won! Please leave me a comment (by 9 p.m. Eastern) about why you love Stampin’ Up! (I know my heart will pitter-patter)
What is your Blog Candy….please read the post and I will tell you at the end! 🙄
Today’s card is also the card that you will receive from me with an order of $35.00+ from me in the month of May and if your order is $75.00+ you will get a double whammy – the card and a roll of Tear-N-Tape! We ALL love this adhesive and I thought that it was a “fitting” pick this month as I hope that we always “Stick together”
Here is a new hostess code for you WVZNB69Z….
(remember, you can always find it in the upper right corner of my blog!)
I am using many of the new In Colors that will be making their debut very soon. They are fabulous. They are bold. They are clean. They are blue ribbon winners.
Today I used Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum along with the other colors that I have listed below in the shopping area …..where are the other 2 NEW In Colors????…..well, tomorrow is a NEW DAY! I think that you are going to like the 2 day challenge this week…sneak peaks to get you excited!
I am sad that the decorative dots embossing folders is walking the plank – it is one of my all time favorites. Please do not wait if you want products that are walking the plank – I am sad that a customer was not able to get some things that she really wanted…. 😥
Here is another thing that we need to chitty-chat about….this stamp set, or shall I say, this bundle is only a bundle to the end of the month. This IS carried over in the new catalog but it will be offered “a la carte” so naturally the 15% is OUT THE DOOR! So the moral of this story is if you want this classic bundle – GET IT NOW and SAVE!
I know that many if you feel that we have lots of “flower stamps”..and I agree but then I also say – look at them and see how you can make them work for you! The reason I love this stamp set is the bold, fun images and then the sentiments – are super fun!
Here is the BLOG CANDY and I want YOU to stick with me and my bloggin’ fun! It is all about adhesives as I want us to STICK TOGETHER! These are my true blues! I could not….would not be without them! These are my daily “go -to’s”
- Mono glue aka….”green Glue”
- Roll of Tear -n- Tape
- Fast Fuse
- glue dots
I hope that you enjoyed yesterdays post witht he comparisons of the new In Colors….they are soooo bold and vibrant – again, I know that many of you are wondering where the other 2 In Colors are….please pop back tomorrow…and you will see them….My favorite???? hmmmmmmm – it is soooo hard….I think I have 3 favorites….I
In closing, Thank you. I would have never in a MILLION YEARS thought that I would have been here 4 years…and Blogging – NO WAY.….but I have to say, I love what I do, I feel like I have friends from all over….and I hope that I bring some sunshine into your day!
I feel like we are a big family of loving what we do and also love embracing the positive side of life. I totally know that I am an over achiever and I take on too much – but please know, it is all in great intentions….and please never underestimate the power of what we do – making someones day better…making YOU feel better!
I look at the huge bowl of cards that was sent to my Mom while she was ill…and I still look at them and feel the love that was sent, please do not think that what you do does not make a difference….but it does…my Mom was the queen of making people happy and fulfilled…I can only hope that I am carrying on the lesson that I learned!
I look forward to your comments!
p.s. – please know that the card and applicable product will be ordered and shipped you to after the 1st week of the following month! 🙂
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, SUSAN! This card is definitely a keeper – the new In Colors and your special touch are a winning team — LOVE IT! Keep up the good work and know YOU ARE making a difference!
Happy Anniversary! I enjoy your stories and your cards so much. I like Stampin Up because everything matches, and they have quality products.
Happy Anniversary, Honey!!!!!! I am very proud of you and your unending creativity and passion for Stampin’ Up!! You are amazing !! Have a great day!!
Oh John, you have to be the sweetest! My Mike still doesn’t even get it – making cards. Why go to the bother when you can pick one up even at the grocery store. He does like it when I make a card though with the Iowa Hawkeyes on it. Maybe someday he will appreciate the idea.
Oh, isn’t that a nice reply from your Hubby! Yes, Susan, Happiest Happy Anniversary!!! I love your style and your stories and your blog . . . yes, that is why you are my Upline! I’m sure you will have a smile on your face all day. Congrats and keep up the amazing, wonderful work.
🙂
Oh swoon …how sweet ! Unless you have a secret lover …the comment above is from The John !
Now …I love these flowers.but have tons …..but I am loving your display so much I may have to order them !
Congrats Susan on year 4 ….I love that you stayed in because you give us some fun and inspiration each day !
I got on board as a demo just like you . I thought I would just stay for a little while because I came on as a Hobbyist ,but here I am two years later because I enjoy being in “The Club”
Thank you for being YOU ….we enjoy you !
I love SU because of the colors and how every thing matches. Also how everyone shares their ideas. The PALS group is the best!
We are all so very lucky that you stayed with Stampin’ Up! and are so happy to share your creativity with all of us! You can tell that you love what you do and get so happy when you make all of us smile with your blog posts! Stampin’ Up! is just the BEST! On target with colors, the papers, inks, markers all match … a HUGE plus and then the stamp sets, accessories … I could go on and on because I LOVE Stampin’ Up! Love you too, Sweet Susan!!! Happy Anniversary!!!
It’s product quality for me with Stampin’ Up. Try finding that in the big box stores. Waste a lot of $$ looking and buying products that don’t deliver.
Hi! Congratulations! My favorite part of Stampin’ Up is the sharing of card ideas and the beautiful catalogs. Thank you!
Your card is lovely! A very happy 4th SU anniversary to you!! The quality of Stampin Up products is why I don’t switch allegiance to another company. Plus the color coordination is fantastic.
Happy 4th SU Anniversary! The thing that I love most about SU is the quality of their products. You can find similar products at your local craft store, but the quality doesn’t stack up to SU.
Happy 4 year anniversary, Susan! What a sweet and thoughtful note from your hubby! I am so glad you stayed on with SU because I love reading your blog. You provide inspiration and cyber love to all of us! Without you my morning coffee would be, well, just coffee. Enjoy your special day and happy stamping!
Your passion and creativity are such an inspiration, Susan. Your (outstanding) husband is absolutely correct: you are amazing! Happy Anniversary with many thanks for sharing your sunny attitude, your touching stories, and your artistic heart. WE LOVE YOU!
Happy Day, when Susan stamped the day away. So much fun. The best part, we can actually say the JOY we get from what we do, we spread around therefore, it is a JOB of blessing many others. So we do work, right!!!
Have a joy filled week-end.
Congrats on 4 years with stampin up! I love your blog and all your cards
I guess I have a question for you, Susan. What is there Not to love about Stampin’up? The Designer Papers are so pretty and functional, the stamp sets with matching punches, dies, embossing folder, thinlits, framelits, etc are the Best bang for your buck and so easy to use too! The colors are spot on! I pretty much like it all. I’ve been using the products since 2000, but didn’t start stamping seriously until 2008 when I joined a group that met monthly. I know, I should take the plunge and join like you did….Oh, the Customer Service is AAA***** When something that I ordered comes to me damaged, SU is always quick to replace it! Congratulations on 4 years with an Awesome company~
Congratulations on your 4th year SU anniversary! Love the quality of SU ad customer service. Thank you for all your passion and sharing of a job that you love.
Happy Anniversary, Susan. I love everything about your blog. I am happy I found it. Have a great day.
Congratulations on your 4th anniversary! The fourth anniversary is traditionally flowers, so your adorable flower card is perfect. I enjoy how Stampin’ Up and you coordinate things so well, that my projects look really well thought out. Have a great day!
Happy 4th Anniversary! Love the card. Can’t wait to see the new catalog.
Congratulations, Susan, on your 4th Anniversary!!! I have a secret too!!! Like you, my husband was the first to know, and like you he is supportive! Yes, you guessed it I became a SU Demonstrator on 5/3/16!!!! Three days ago and I am watching my email to see when I can expect my kit. I have been purchasing SU since about 1996. SU is SUper!!! Quality people, quality products, and quality customer service. I am definitely a Hobbiest, not looking to sell, but I guess I could surprise myself….we’ll see. I need to thank you because your blog keeps me inspired and in large part is the reason I have joined SU!!! Thank You!!!
Congratulations on 4 years, Susan! I am so happy to have joined SU under you. Your blog always make me smile and your cards are always an inspiration. Thank you.
Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary, Happy Anniversary to you! This was to be sung to you to that one tune, whatever, it is called. Robyn beat me as to what the 4th anniversary was. I love your card – so pretty and those colors look so great together. I did order this bundle at card club last week. I swear I had already purchased them but due to “L” word (lack of organization) I couldn’t find them so I think maybe I just thought I purchased them. Speaking of “L” words – love is a pretty strong word for me sort of like the word organization. So, I will go with what I like about SU – I like how things coordinate from the DP to inks to just whatever. The friendships I have made from mostly the Pals but some other demos though I am not a demo. I gave it a shot and it didn’t work out. That group of women just have no idea of what projects we could have made and the fun we could have had but no, they were not willing to give me a try. But, the friendships I have made really are the best through these blogs as well as the fun I have had. Speaking of coordinating DP, inks etc. I need to gather such and make that card for the swap before time gets totally away from me as well as some thank you cards. Oh, also you and other SU demos have helped me to think outside the box! Again, happy anniversary and many more to come!
Happy Anniversary, Susan. That was so sweet of John to add a comment. I, too, am so happy I found your blog with the daily, upbeat inspiration you give us, plus writing about your busy life. The SU products are great and I especially like that their paper, ink, ribbon, markers all match. That’s what really got my attention in the beginning and I love reading blogs of people who have become my online friends, like you. Thank you for being you every day.
Happy Anniversary, Susan! Thanks for being such a nice crafting friend… I read your blog nearly everyday, and have learned a lot from you about card making. My favorite part about Stampin Up is the meaningful sentiments they sell. I love making crafts that provide a way to reach out to people and let them know how special they are to me. The spiritual sentiments are my all-time favorite. I love the Bible verses. Thanks for a chance to play along, and best wishes to everyone!
I love how everything matches–ink, paper, pens, dsp. It makes creating cards a breeze. Thank you for the chance to win!
Happy Anniversary! I love all of the coordination of products that SU offers. It makes creating projects easier.
Happy Anniversary! I’m sure glad you stuck with it and share with us everyday. My favorite part of SU! Is the sharing. Give me an idea and I can run with it but I’m not most the creative! All the blogs and ideas using SU! products make me want the product and to make those cards! Like this one you share today…love the new colors and design of the card. Love too that Hubby responded…what great support!
4 years–good for you and good for us! The best thing about SU is the chance to “meet” great people like you, Mary Fish, Brian King, Debbie Crowley, and so many others, whose blogs are full of fun and inspiration. Oh, and let’s not forget the amazing array of SU products! I’ve been crossing my fingers about the new IN Colors, and from the sneak peek, they’re lookin’ pretty good!
Happy Anniversary, Susan. I like the convenience of one stop shopping for coordinating paper, stamp.pads and embellishments and not to mention fantastic stamp sets and having them delivered to my door. Thanks for the opportunity to win a great gift.
Happy Anniversary Susan. I love how Stampin Up makes their products coordinate with DSP and embellishments. Also it feels like everyone is one big happy family!
Congratulations on your anniversary. My introduction to card making came from a Stamping’ Up project as a program for a women’s circle I was part of at my church. We made a card that night (no ordering, etc., just a program) and I was hooked. I ‘d never been able to draw anything, but that flower pot card and the ability to be creative had me hooked, and I’ve been making cards ever since, over many years now!
Congratulations, Susan! Wow, I had imagined that you had been in the SU biz for a much longer time. To have built up your business and your incredible blog following in such a short time is incredible. Your caring and funny personality always shines through in your posts and I know that is what hooked me…oh, and the stamps of course! Here’s to the next 4 years!
Happy Anniversary! My favorite thing about Stampin’ Up are the coordinating colors in all products – so easy to pull a project together. Thanks for all the inspiration you share – such fun to read!
I just like be that everything coordinates and matches!! Thank you for a chance to win some blog candy!!
Congratulations on your 4 years of pure fun with SU. You always inspire me with the great cards you make. I love that SU coordinates all the colors in their products. Really helps with those of us that have trouble seeing colors as others do. All I have to do is pick out a pretty dsp and follow the suggestions as to what matches.
Beautiful card and Happy Anniversary!! Stampin up has inspired me to create and I have met so many awesome people having fun at events hosted by my demonstrator.
Congratulations! Your cards and presentations are so inspiring…especially to a “newbie.” The color combinations make it easier for those of us who cannot figure out which colors to use. It helps to have a great inspiration…you.
Well Susan I must say you have learned a lot in those 4 years! You make everything so easy-and talk about kindness-you are the best. I love starting my day with you and my cuppa. So I say I Love Stampin Up cause of You-you make me Need it all.
Happy Anniversary. Thanks for your inspiring posts and cards. Your moms kindness shows through. I hope that I too, pay it forward.
Susan-Happy Anniversary You re amazing and I love your style. I love SU for all of the creative offerings in products, colors and ideas. SU is my therapy-after a 50 hour week at a computer to spend time in my craft room with all of my SU products brings me sheer joy, blissful happiness and of course all of the shared ideas that everyone posts as well is priceless.
Congrats on your 4 years with Stampin’ Up. I’ve followed your blog for awhile now and am amazed with your commitment every day to helping us become better card makers. Your encouragement and enthusiasm is boundless. Thank-you!
Stanpin’ Up’s quality and customer service are two things I like about the company. Their punches are the best on the market in my opinion.
Love today’s card especially the great colors. Looking forward to the new releases in June and our continued friendship!
Way to go Susan! Four years and going strong! What I like most about Stampin Up are my card friends! We meet monthly and share card kits and what has been happening. The products brought us together!
First of all, Happy 4th Anniversary!! I enjoy reading your blog every AM. I like your style…..simple & clean. What I like about SU is that they have a quality product & that all their products coordinate with their embellishments, etc. I also like to make a card for the personality of my recipient & I can do that with SU’s stamp collection. Thanks for the daily dose of inspiration, the chance at some great blog candy & keep up the good work.
Congratulations, Susan, you have certainly made the most of your four years? You will probably never know the amount of inspiration you have dished out in the past four years, but I for one have learned a lot from you and enjoy your blog posts and reading about your family and fur babies. Love your style and your step it up Sunday posts. Keep up the great work?
Happy SU Anniversary! What I like most about Stampin’ Up is you can find ideas and inspiration for it EVERYWHERE, no matter what your style is. You can find cards and projects. Plus most of their images are timeless and can be used decades from now and not feel dated. They do some of the trendy stuff to stay current and hip too!
I too thought you had been doing this SU “thing” for much longer than four years! I love your daily inspiration of creativity, encouragement, fun and laughter. Your mom would be so proud! I really appreciate Stampin’ Up’s quality products and then the inspiration that comes from the catalogs and all the pinterest fun. Enjoy being in your day and celebrate!
Congratulations on your 4th anniversary. You’re amazing.
The first time I saw someone put a rubber stamp to paper was like an explosion in my soul! Stamping is an art form through which I can express what I’m feeling. And I can put a smile in someone’s mailbox! How awesome is that?
You are such an accomplished Demonstrtor, Susan. I would never have believed you are only at year 4! Now that it is May, I will have been a 3 year demo, but am just starting to have small groups to my home. I am still my own best and almost only customer. You are so talented! Congratulations. I love all your inspiration.
Congrats, Susan. We have over 8 SU demonstrators here in our adult community and all our stamp club members support them. I love SU because everything matches – cardstock, ink, markers, ribbon, accessories – no looking around to find that perfect color to go with my cards. Thanks for your inspiration.
Congratulations, Susan !! I thought you had been doing this for ages and ages !! I just joined 3 yr ago and just as a “hobby” demonstrator. I follow you all the time and love your cards., You get me motivated to try different designs as I do my cards mostly for “Sunshine” for my Garden Club and they love their cards. I also love all your tales about the darling critters. I worked in a Veterinary Clinic for many many years and stand in awe at the wonderful care and love given our pets. Keep all the good thoughts and design coming….I love it !! Thanks!
Congrats, Susan, on your 4 yr. anniversary as a SU demo. Love your work. I love SU for the creativity and inspiration that it affords me. I’ve tried a lot of different hobbies over the years, but rubber stamping is the one that I have stuck with for nearly 20 years now! I love the stamps, the accessories, the colors….really everything about it! I love making and sending cards. My reward? The cards I send make people happy…and they tell me so. I have an aunt who has saved every card that I have ever sent to her! Makes my heart sing. Thanks for your inspiration and the chance to win.
Happy anniversary! Of course I love Stampin’ Up for its fabulous line of products, but most of all I love the people–everyone is so good about helping, inspiring, and encouraging, be it on a blog, on the phone, or in an e-mail. Thanks especially to you, Susan, for your special “voice” in this craft.
Happy 4th Anniversary Susan. I love Stampin’ Up because everything matches; the inks, paper, ribbon, etc.
I have been a Stampin’ Up customer for 20 years! I LOVE Stampin Up because they coordinate everything from stamps, designer papers, ribbons, enamel dots, punches, dies and more. It ALL goes together!! I also LOVE that they
only sell quality products. When there were problems with the Blendabilities drying out, they discontinued them until they can have a better working product.. Stampin Up only makes and sells top notch items and I know when I buy something from them, it will be the quality I LOVE and expect. As you can see, I am in LOVE with Stampin’ Up!
Congratulations Susan on 4 years with the company. Stampin Up is LUCKY to have you. You are a WONDERFUL
representative for Stampin Up!
Happy Anniversary. I have been lovin’ Stampin’Up for 20 years. As an aunt who remembers the dates and events for more than 50 in our family, I have found SU lets me do that in style.
Lynn
Happy Anniversary. Love how everything coordinates with Stampin Up products. Always enjoy seeing all the cards you post.
Congrats Susan and thanks for sharing with us each day. The things I love about Stampin’ Up are the friends I made and that things coordinate, which makes it easier to create. Happy Anniversary!
Congratulations Susan, on your 4 year anniversary. I look forward each day to your “simple Susan” post. Looking forward to many more years of your post.
I feel one one on the remarkable things about SU is how the demonstrators are able to reach out to anyone, anywhere and how creative they are and willing to teach anyone willing to spend time with them. You are a talented caring person person that shares with us your talent so congratulations and thank you for YOUR support. Love the DSP that Stampn’ Up has. Excellent quality and choices.
I LOVE Stampin’ Up because of the matching paper, ink and markers. I always know that everything will be co-ordinated. It must be the OCD in me. There are many other reasons I LOVE Stampin’ Up, but that’s my main reason.
Hi Susan, Happy 4th! So glad you stuck with it because I love your blog. What I like about Stampin’ Up is like so many others, I love the coordination of the products. As a former scrapbooker, it was frustrating to try to guess what products were used on a layout that I wanted to CASE, but with SU, even if the products aren’t listed, I can pretty much figure them out. And then if I don’t have a particular product, I just start filling out my next wish list! Love the quality of the products too!
Why do I love Stampin Up? Let me count the ways…quality, quality, quality. The quality of the card stock, DSP, punches, framelits, embellishments…can’t be beat (for the price). Coordination…the regular colors, the DSP with the regular colors, the stamp sizes/shapes with the punches, ribbons and embellishments with the card stock,… The support you get – from the people that answer the phones to magazine and emails to up lines and blogs (what a wealth of inspiration – like your blog!!!)……….
Susan – You sure have your act together for only having been at this for 4 years. Happy SU Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary Susan!! Your style is simple and classic with their own unique touches like the white gel pen highlights. As I have only joined SU a few years ago and found your blog I thought that you had many more years and cards completed! Yours is the first blog I open in the morning before work and enjoy your clear instructions. Love your heart warming stories of your furry family members! Here’s to MANY more years to come!!
Dear Susan, Happy Anniversary, WOW, , I can not believe you have only been in Stampin Up for only four years. You are amazing. Your friendly way you Blog is so warm and comforting. It is like sitting in my kitchen with my good friend and enjoying a great cup of coffee with you. I am so happy that John is so supportive of you and your business. His comment was beautiful. You are amazing. Thank you John for your love and support of Susan. We are so glad you are willing to share Susan with all of us.
I love Stampin up because the colors all go together. The inks, paper, ribbons, paper are all so beautiful I also love the support you give to all of us. Good luck to many more wonderful years of doing business as a SU demonstrator and a Blog writer. Ellen Hinds
I love SU because they make it fun to be creative and fun to learn. Without SU, would not have my virtual card friends and would never have found wonderful Susan 🙂
I love SU – it is my creative outlet and something I do for fun, my ME time! I used to manage a local scrapbook store for 8 years and when we closed 8 years ago, I so missed that creative outlet. Mi began stamping and exclusively using SU about a year later! Thank you for your blog – I absolutely love your style!!
Susan, you are one of the blogs I enjoy the most. If you don’t come up when I’m looking through the blogs, I search for you specifically. Your cards are always some of my favorites and I love to hear about your family. Good luck on the next four years and longer.
I love the co-ordinating products SU has! Hard to believe you’ve only been at it 4 years-you’re so talented! I love to see your creations! Happy Anniversary! Andrea
