Here you go – a fun card that will hopefully make you smile! To me, this is a happy card and even thought the sentiment does say – HAPPY DAY…this sneak peak of a newbie in the NEW catalog is a “keeper” – you know me by now…when I say “keeper” it means I really like it! 🙂
I used this stamp set yesterday and you can see that it works today as well…this is why it is a “keeper” – to me the fun and festive fonts make this a must have!
This week we have a color challenge and it is from a very special person, Rae Harper. It is funny….I have not met most of the PALS but I know in my heart that Rae is a “true blue” – Rae is the PALS monthly gu-ru that makes our blog hops go smoothly. When I first started doing blog hops…she was my Knight and Shining Armor! 🙂
This is a very straight forward card – but one that you can duplicate for many cards! I know I personally forget to use a simple 1″ piece of a solid paper on the edge…and WOW – an instant POP! When you look at the stamp set below, you can see the dot stamp and I used the tone on tone to stamp the crushed curry strip!
Remember the buttons are on the bye-bye list and I admit….I “get it” but I will use up what I have. I do like the way that it looks and a simple glue dot does the trick..every time!
This is the second time that I used this bundle…flower shop and if you do not have this set….YOU NEED IT– -it has been around for several years and I am happy….but please know that in the new catalog it will not be a bundle! (that is an instant 15%)
In closing…you need to know that there are many retiring products that are already gone…so please do not wait and be disappointed…I will say that the new catalog is FILLED with FUN…..but there are amazing keepers in the bye-bye list that are keepers! I worked my stampin’ hands off yesterday creating posts for the next 2 weeks…
BUT – I opened up and took photos of the Card Swap = all I can say is that I need “eye creme” – as I was beaming with ALL SMILES….next week you will LOVE them…you are all amazing!

Susan, this is a very cute card. I like the strip of stamped Crushed Curry on the side. I’ll have to look at this bundle again. I hope you’re having a wonderful time on the cruise.
Seriously, this bundle is a keeper – please go back and see the super easy post that I did with the flowers in a vase….I adore the different flowers and having a punch that works with it….ICING ON THE CAKE. Remember, they will be available in the new catalog…but not together…..which means no 15% off.
Another great card! Love how you stamped the strip on the side. Very clever! Enjoy!
Thanks Mary Ann – Isn’t it funny how something so easy can make a difference! Enjoy the day – finally SUNSHINE!
Susan, This card is so adorable. I Also like the I inch crushed Curry strip. It is a very sweet card. I can not wait to see the pictures of the swap cards. I hope you are having a wonderful time on the cruise. Bring back some warmth for us here in Rochester, New York. (LOl). Enjoy. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
Hi Ellen….we are still home but leaving tomorrow. Needless to say, we are very excited but so much to do before we can take that DEEP BREATH and say we made it, let’s relax! This is my kind of card…it even makes me smile!
Such an adorably cute card! This stamp set is on my wish list! 🙂
YIPPEE…you are a smart stamper as it is a great set. So glad that you enjoyed the card.
I was immediately wondering what Designer Paper you used for the one inch strip….you got me!!!!! So clever making your own…I must stretch my brain a little. This card is a keeper for sure, and this stamp set is now on my wish list!!!! I missed it somewhere that you are cruising!!!!! Bon Voyage!!!!!
That’s what I am here for…I love to inspire you and stretch your brain. I do hope that you try it. This is another reason why I love this stamp set, there are many great stamps to do a tone on tone effect – I just love this set – very practical. Thanks for taking the time to pop in!
Great card! Bright colors, fun design, and love the 1″ strip of DSP. I too forget to use the 1″ element in my cards and don’t know why either. Looking forward to your card swap.
YEAH…I always smile when I make you happy as you are the best card maker! That was a solid piece and then stamped in the same color (Hello Honey) – it is so simple to add a strip of paper down the side as I think that it gives a great dimension to the card.
Wait a darn minute – what is this about a cruise – how could I miss this? Is it that SU incentive cruise or are you on a sweet trip with John just because you can? Yes, I am nosey and want to know what I missed! If it is the SU cruise – I know why Ann is not going and she has good reasons.
O.k. on with the show, ummm card I mean, Love it! I don’t know if I would have ever come up with the colors Rae chose but you made it work. Funny, how many things we forget about doing on cards like the simple strip, scoring, etc. they all add such impact. This is just a fun and delightful happy card. So, are you going to try the little dotted line on a card that is in the All Wrapped up set? It looks like they copied your style almost! All dots vs. dots and dashes? Anyway, fun card love all the details. That Crushed Curry Baker’s Wine really adds a little spark too.
