I hope that you are smiling with this card! This is my kind of card and this is the card that I made for my Card Swap while away on the trip! I knew that I needed to make something that was super clean and simple yet a great representation to my style, clean and simple!
You can clearly see the ease of this card and I love the fact that it is a vertical card and I took the paper all the way to the top! The simple matting with the Night of Navy made the POP easy!
Today’s color palette was inspired my the PPA Challenge and the color palette was a challenge for us from Shawn de Oliveira. If you have not seen Shawn’s work…you need to – Pop over to the PPA Site and see his work as well as the other design teams amazing creations!
I adore the DSP Paper Stacks! They are always a great option for when you are looking for a certain color! Because I was making many of these, I used the DSP Stacks to the max and also used other colors for the dots in making all the cards needed for the swap!
Remember, we have the envelopes in Crumb Cake…I think that this is the perfect compliment for this card. To me, Crumb Cake gives an instant softness to a card but I admit, I forget about using it as much as I do. Here is your picture for you to save for the future and below this is the products I have used for the card!
This stamp set, Painter’s Palette is a very versatile one and one that I think will be very popular. In the catalog you can see that Stampin’ Up! has shown it with a coordinating DSP but the way that I have showcased it today, a completely different look – very straightforward and clean.
Now for some FUN…..I shared with you that we are going to play a game – so here you go! I plan to do another one of these as I think that it is fun for you to get to know the catalog!
Leave me a comment (let me know how you like this card) but leave me a comment with which single stamp in the new catalog would be my 1st pick!!!! Let’s see how well you know me – I think that many of you are going to get this so I will take all of the people that guess it and then pick a winner and then send you this new stamp!
I will pick a winner and announce it on Sunday’s Post along with the next game day that I will do tomorrow. I figured that this way, you will have several days to look at the catalog and pick what single stamp that you would think I would buy!!! 🙂
This is a very exciting Month for Stampin’ Up! – With the extra $35.00 in Hostess winnings….WOOT – WOOT but the BEST ONE…..pick any 2 FREE STAMP SETS.…now that is a HUGE WOOT-WOOT. Please email me if you have any questions!
Hi Susan! Love your card. I will have to buy this Painter’s Palette stamp set now! Question: Did you use Crumb Cake or Sahara Sand? And to chime in on the game ~ I think your new favorite single stamp will be Stylized Birthday! I’m guessing that because it’s my new favorite!!!
I love this stamp set! It has so many possibilities. I think your new fav is “Pineapple.” If it isn’t, I would still love to see your take on a card made with this piece of fruit! So fun!
Love the card, and I think your new favorite single stamp will be the “Stylized Birthday”. I know you like big bold things that make a simple statement with in one punch.
Crumb cake and night of navy is my very favorite. Love this card. I think your new favorite single stamp is “pineapple”. Would love to see you make cards with this.
I love the simplicity of this card, Susan. I think your first stamp would be the pineapple. Safe travels on your way home, where you own bed and pillow never seemed so wonderful.
Fun card and the colors look great on here. Favorite single stamp, well there are 3 new ones that I found: the Happy Birthday that looks like it would be a kissing cousin to the Thank You single stamp you loved. Then the pineapple, and I do remember seeing it on top of your goodies that came in your pre-order. But, then there is a new diagonal stamp and I think stripes are the next best thing to your favorite polka dots. I guess I will go out on a limb and say the pineapple one since it means welcome in some language and WE WANT TO WELCOME YOU BACK HOME! Sort of hard to think here with a whining dog who has only had 1 walk today and 1 porch sitting. Yesterday, we had 3 walks by this time. I am not sure about this new lifestyle change for me……
Love your card. Night of navy and crumb cake go hand in hand together. I think your favorite single stamp would have to be “stylized birthday”. Simple but makes a bold statement.
I also chose the Stylized Happy Birthday single stamp as your “go to” stamp! I love your card!
I am also going with stylized birthday. Love your clean style!
I think your favorite single stamp would be Stylized Birthday. I love your card!
I didn’t think I “needed” this set since I have “Work of Art” but then along comes Susan and her Clean and Simple creation. Should I say Thank you or THANK YOU FOR SHARING!? All kidding aside, thank you for playing the PPA303 Color Challenge with us this week.
Love your design and how you used the color choices. Great card!
Such a pretty card, Susan! I really like the new style of placing the mat at an angle.
I would like to guess your favorite new stamp set is the “Perfectly Wrapped” set, because you are so gracious to send little treats to your daughter’s friends at college. This set has lots of ways to brighten up anyone’s day with a friendly reminder of how much they mean to you… And I know that bringing a smile to someone’s face is one of your trademarks. Thanks for sharing so many great ideas with us!
I love the way you have used the stamp. When I first saw it I thought that is not Susan’s style but after looking at it I realized it. This stamp looked layered which equals complicated and I am into simple like Susan! My guess Stylized Birthday. Thanks Susan!
I definitely have to believe your favorite single stamp would be the Stylized Birthday. It just sings your name. I really like the color combo on your card above. Nice!
Loved this but I love all your cards. I am going out on a limb here with Summer Sorbet because I know that you will see many possibilities and options with your clean and simple style 🙂
Very appealing card and the color combo is just great! It’s a soothing yet exciting mix that I like. The single
favorite stamp for you probably is the Stylized Happy Birthday because it’s good for CAS cards and takes up a lot of space.
I love your layout and how it works perfectly with the easle in the stamp set. This color scheme is really nice, too. I was so disappointed with last year’s In Color collection as a group , but they play very nice with other colors, like in this color scheme.
My guess for your favorite stamp set to get first is Happy Happenings.
I hope you’re LOVING the rest of your trip! Thanks for the Free Shipping event.
The Stylized Birthday stamp for sure. When I saw it I said to myself – that is a Susan Itell stamp. Ha! I hope you and John are having a fabulous time.
A Beautiful card using these colors, Susan! The tilted panel makes such a difference and adds to the cas fun! I would definitely have to say your favorite new single stamp is Stylized Birthday! You have stated in the past how much you adore Large sentiments, and this one looks pretty big to me~
Love this card, especially since I originally had not considered Painters Palette for myself. I think your new favorite single stamp would be the Stylized Birthday. It’s definitely on my wish list.
Susan, as always, the card is gorgeous. My guess is STYLIZED BIRTHDAY. It is also on my “1st tier” list! I also can’t wait to get my acrylic blocks and ink on “Bella and Friends” – Oh, that dog! That turtle! That parrot with the heart in his beak! Can’t wait.
Great way to use that new stamp set – now we will all have to purchase it!! I think your 1st “go to” stamp will be “Love you lots” – it has another adorable frog!
I’m late coming to the party, so to speak, but I’ll still place my bet on Stylized Birthday…everyone has a birthday so you will get your money’s worth out of it, and it’s a large sentiment so it would be easy to make a quick “Simple Susan” card. I placed an order yesterday, it was the second stamp I ordered (the first was “Bella and Friends”…no surprise).
I love your card today, but darn you, I thought I could pass this set up, but now it’s been added to my wish list. I love the colors and the angles of your paper.
Safe travels home!! I’m sure your animals will greet you with a gazillion kisses!
I think you would buy #IMBRINGINGBIRTHDAYSBACK Single Wood-Mount Stamp because you always encourage us to stamp and send cards.
Welcome Home, Susan & John, Glad you had a wonderful trip. I hope you got some time to relax. I also hope you will post some pics too.
I think you favorite stamp will be Stylized Birthday. I know I was disappointed when this wasn’t on the pre-order list.
Have a great day! Try not to catch up on EVERYTHING in ONE DAY.
🙂
Hi, Susan. Glad you had a wonderful trip but we are happy to have you back on this side of the “pond”.
I would say your favorite single stamp may be the stylized Happy Birthday, given how much you loved the Thank You in the previous catty.
Again, WELCOME HOME!!!
Love the card !!! Welcome Home, so glad you had a nice trip. I think my favorite single stamp is Pineapple
Stylized Birthday, because as soon as I saw it I imagined you saying, “what are you waiting for?”
Love this card, I especially love the color combo of night of navy, mint macaron and sahara sand together. My favorite single stamp would be #IMBRINGINGBIRTHDAYSBACK I want to encourage more people to actually send beautiful cards not send birthday greetings by way of texts & emails. Just love this single stamp
So glad you enjoyed your wonderful trip! I would say your first pick is the Stylized Birthday stamp on page 16, I wasn’t even thinking of your challenge, just going through the catalog for the first time, stopped on that and thought-That’s a Susan stamp!
When I first skimmed through the catalog and saw Stylized Birthday, I thought “That’ll be making its way to Randall Lane!” It’s much more versatile than the pineapple, though you’ll do amazing things with it too.
I really love this card and I have to say….this pineapple will be my #1 choice!
I think your favorite single stamp would be stylized birthday! I can’t wait to see all the ways you’ll use it!!
I vote for the Stylized Birthday stamp. I love your blog and all the talent that goes into your beautiful cards.
Cute card Susan! Thanks! I promise my first thought when you asked about your favorite single stamp was the stylized HAppy Birthday. But after reading the replies it looks Im not the only person who guessed that stamp!;)
If I get a second choice it would have to be the pineapple. Love your all your tips!
My guess is the pineapple
Great card for this color pallete.
It’s a toss up between Stylized Birthday and Pineapple, but I am going to choose Stylized Birthday.
I was not a huge fan of this set when I first saw it, however I think perhaps after I saw this card, the easel could make for some really cute cards. The polka dots truly make this card!! I think your favorite single stamp is Stylized Birthday.
Darling card Susan. I love those layers. Such a great message to send someone.
