Woot-Woot…it is Friday and I am doing the HAPPY DANCE as I have great news, Arnold has turned the corner and doing soooooo much better! Being responsible for a 31 year old horse that you happen to love to death is hard to see when their are not feeling well. I think in the next 48 hours we will be acting like a 25 year old (and that is old as well for a horse). His trusty Donkey has been by his side like a perfect nurse.
I have had to be a bit quiet in “Command Stampin’ Central” as I feel like I am constantly going down to check him….but knock on wood…we are coming around! The Vet came out yesterday and was so surprised at how great he looked (other than his bum foot)
You know what is also the best….having John and the peeps check in with me throughout the day as they know that I have been so upset about my dear sweet Arnold. It is all about love and kindness…that is what WE ALL need more of!

Today I am sharing with you some FUN from a very special stamper, Georgette! You all know that I adore DSP and I do try to share with you ways to use it….NOT JUST LOOK AT IT ….and Georgette is the QUEEN of using DSP. When the new catalog came out and I saw this print…I knew that I would have won any bet that this would be right up her alley!
Georgette sent me (3) cards using this fabulous DSP and I just had to share them with you! I hope that you enjoy the pictures and that you also can leave Georgette some Stampin’ Love Comments (let’s hope she looks at my blog today as she does not know that I am doing this)
I am just thrilled with our DSP papers as they truly are beautiful! Please do not be afraid to use them in a bold way like you see in these below pictures….SHOW THEM OFF – let them SHINE!!!!
This below one TOTALLY STUMPED me when I saw it…..look closely – she used the Lemon Paper for the house…so darn clever! I hope that Georgette will chime in and let us know the ins and outs of her watercoloring, just beautiful!

How about this one….it is just “PEAR PERFECT” – what a fun card and do you notice the pear from last year’s DSP../WOW – what a great use of the paper. Just look at this envelope….amazing!

I say a STANDING OVATION for Georgette and many thanks for sharing your talent. If you have time….please leave her some Simple Stampin’ love with a comment!
It is the 29th and that means that there is just 2 more days to take advantage of EARNING IN JULY…..SPENDING IN AUGUST! I have been trying to work on my blog to make it more user friendly at the very top of my blog you will see “Paw Prints Rewards”….this is where you can go Monthly to see the card that I will make for you with a $35 purchase and then with a $75 purchase, you get a double whammy – the card and a gift!

I just think that this is ONE BEAUTIFUL CARD! I am both proud and excited to send it your way! LOVE this paper….works great with today’s post in letting the DSP SHINE!

What can I say but SUPER CUTE!!!! This is a FUN Embossing Folder that you will see me use over the weekend……and I know you – you will love it!

Have a fabulous day…..we had some much needed rain yesterday so my hopes are to get up…..ride Oscar and have a great day….how about you!?!?!?!

A standing ovation! Beautiful work and great inspiration….thanks Georgette! Susan, so glad to hear Arnold is doing better…he is a beauty!
Thank you for sharing the pics of Arnold – What a gorgeous boy he is and what a wonderful Mom you are to give such TLC. Your animals are so darned lucky to have you in their lives and it is great to see them receive the treatment they so deserve. And Georgette, I am in awe of your cards – such talent and beauty! I just adore them and your water coloring is over-the-moon! Thanks so much Susan for sharing Georgette’s gorgeous work!
Love your cards, Georgette. How clever to use DSP for the house. Susan, you are a wonderful caregiver for your animals. So glad to hear Arnold is doing better under your watchful eye. Take care and have a great weekend.
Sometimes I save my emails to the end of the day as a reward, but then I’m so tired, I don’t enjoy them. I am so happy I am bright eyed and bushy tailed to enjoy these fabulous cards from Georgette! Each one is unique, colorful and very detailed. Beautiful.
I am also glad Arnold is doing better. It is so hard to see our fur-babies suffer.
Have a great Friday. We have been nursing my daughter’s Lab back to health. Last Thursday he hurt his paw and it was again sad, to see/hear him crying for about three days. I was so nervous that he would never be the same, but about day four-five he turned the corner and today is a check-up to the vet. The rain has now arrived up here, so it will be close to the house.
🙂
You have to be the BEST Mom, Susan! I’m sure your animals know how much you care for them. You are a very special person, and it shows in your words and actions, and also in your beautiful creations! Yay for Arnold getting better! Give him a Big Hug for me. ; ) Georgette, your cards are Fantastic, and yes, such beautiful ways to use that pretty dp! Wow, thank you for sharing these wonderful cards with us, Susan! It’s nice to see what other stampers are doing in their own stamp caves~
Cute cards! Hoping Arnold is feeling better soon. He looks like he’s being a very good patient, Mom. I think treats are in order. hahaha 🙂

Georgette, your creativity is amazing! Love all three cards! The house is over the top. You are a true artist. Susan, seems to me you have your priorities in the perfect spot. Our ‘kids’ of all kinds should always be number one! Love the picture! Reminds me of sitting in a crate at an emergency vet with a collie that had west nile virus. Phew, He survived it! It’s what we do!
Wow ! Love your cards ,Georgette ! Each one is a beauty ! Please send more for Susan to share with us.
I must admit I am a DSP collector that HATES cutting into it ….but I have discovered a new solution to that . Hopefully it works .Love Fruit Stand ….don`t have it yet …it went on Back Order for a bit .
Oh, and by the way ….I like your card too ,Susan ! Tee Hee !!
Happy healings to that sweet Arnold . Do they count horse years like they count dog years (just wondering )

Dear Susan, I am so glad that Arnold is doing better. It is never easy to see our animals in any kind of pain. You are an amazing Mom to your children, John and to all of your wonderful animals. They are so lucky to have you in their lives. I m so thrilled that Georgette sent you those beautiful cards. Each one is so beautiful and unique. I love the use of DSP you used. I love your water coloring. You are amazing. Thank you Susan for sharing Georgette’s beautifu cards. I love your card you are sharing also. It is so pretty. Any one would be happy to receive this pretty card. Have a great day Susan. Give Arnold a hug for me. Stay Cool. Ellen Hinds
You have a wonderful heart Susan! So true, the world needs more love and care. Glad Arnold is doing better and the whole family is so supportive. Georgette’s cards are fantastic! Your cards always bring a smile to this face!
Georgette;s cards are great! Each one is beautiful. Great job! Who would of thought to use the lemon paper for the house? Oh what a great photo of Arnold. Do they place their leg in the bucket automatically or does it take some coaxing? He looks like he doesn’t mind it at all as he munches away. I hope he received a few treats in his bowl too for being such a good patient.
Sending kudos to Georgette for the fabulous cards showcasing that pretty DSP. I too want to hear about the watercolored one! Sending love to Arnold and you as you nurse him. Wow, 31 years–older than some of the peeps! Imagine all the secrets and stories you’ve shared with him over the years!
Oh, my gosh! What a morning! I turned on my computer at home to finish some work I have to turn in today, and then decided to check out Susan’s blog before heading to the office. Can you imagine my surprise at finding my name at the top of the post?!? Once I recovered my wits, I typed a looong reply, which my computer would not send. I’m trying again, from work, so if 2 from me turn up, that’s why. Before anything else–a big THANK YOU to Susan and to all of you for your lovely, generous comments. This has made my day! Now, about the watercoloring–I call it my “trade secret” but it’s very simple, really: a scrap of paper towel wrapped around my index finger. Well, for the sun, I did use Daffodil Delight & Delightful Dijon with a blender pen, to get the look I wanted. But for the blue, I just wiped my toweled finger across the inkpads, swiped the watercolor paper, lightly and then a little heavier in spots, until I liked how it looked. Honestly, as Susan says, YOU CAN DO IT. One thing I’ve learned is there is no right or wrong about these things. Do what pleases you and others will like it, too. Thank you so much–making the cards was a lot of fun and getting to talk to all you is icing on the cake. Hugs, G
P.S. So happy that Arnold is doing better!
Love the cards, Georgette! And always enjoy the blog, Susan.
I appreciate your trying to get me to use my DP, but I do like to just look at it. Sometimes I sniff it. Occasionally I’ll lick it. Is that TMI? LOL! I love that fruity paper. That would be lickable for sure!
Glad to hear Arnold is better. He looks quite pleased with his foot in a bath.
yes, thanks for sharing Arnold’s updates and pics. He looks great…..having a horse growing up, I know what he means to you. Take care and let us know how he is doing. And yes, the cards are wonderful also.
