Woot-Woot ~ it is the 4th of July and that means a day of fun and fireworks for many of us but I also hope it reminds you to be thankful for our wonderful country. We are blessed! Read to the end for a “FUNNY” and then also the winner of the card….SUPER MILO will make you laugh! 😀
I have a couple of friends that have a Birthday around this weekend fun…and here is a super quick card that I thought was super appropriate!
I was happy that the below stamp was carried over in the new catalog. I think that the sentiments are very unique and different. (Plus – the font style is fun!)
To create the 3 colors together I just used tear and tape to hold the colors together and then I ran the whole piece through that Big Shot with the stars embossing folder…super easy – super fun! (just think, you ready have the adhesive on so just pull it off and go but I would also add some to the edges as you want it to lay super flat! 🙂
The triple stamping of a sentiment is a great way to make a sentiment POP…look how simple yet effective this it – just like a love, quick and easy! The “lift” of the sentiment also makes the card interesting and fun.
Envelope fun…double style. You know me, I adore my envelopes and I love the DSP Paper stacks! Paper Stacks to take the worry of trying to figuring out what DSP to use! The tip for being able to get 12 envelopes for one sheet of DSP is that I cut them to 2″ X 6″ and then just take 1/4″ X 6″ stripe of coordinating paper to match your project and presto – a beautiful envelope!
Now here is a stamp set that has been around for a long time but it is one of those “old faithfuls” that you can pull off your shelf and loved it just as you did the 1st time you used it! A quick stamp on front of the envelope was the perfect touch…and I also used the “Happy Birthday” on the inside.
Have a great day ~ enjoy the Holiday and please be safe if you are traveling! Speaking of traveling….if you are a “passenger” – try to think of some layouts that you would like to try…I often will write down “to do’s” and even sketch something….try it – you might find that it works for you!
Now enjoy the pictures of the holiday that we are having ~ this was a Crab fun on Saturday….it has been a great weekend and you will laugh at Milo in a tree – James came to find me and said…..“Mom, hurry to see this – you will not believe it” – thank goodness he had his phone to snap a picture! I love my animals!
P.s. – I quickly read through the comments yesterday, many thanks for taking your time to leave a comment and I do agree that the stepped up version was a girlie-girl fun card….BUT – I gave her Saturday’s card as I thought that the simplicity was more her….and the winner was….drum roll….drum roll – out of the Itell House Hat…Mary Ann H!!!! Yeah for YOU!!!!!
In closing, I do hope that each of you know how much I cherish this thing that we do and I adore my cyber friends from all over. I am so lucky to do something that I love so…and I feel such a connection to our cyber family that we have! 🙂

Love the card. Great idea for my granddaughter whose birthday is close to Labor Day. The picture of Milo is priceless! Happy 4th.
Love the picture of Milo! That is so cute!
I’ll bet that squirrel was shocked when the dog started coming up the tree after him! hee hee
I love this card! What I really love about is it would work great for a 4th of July card too. I appreciate that because I don’t have many stamps appropriate for the holiday.
Darn I gotta go with the gut feeling, which was that it would be Saturday’s card for Emerson. Oh well. Fun card today. I have an old friend whose birthday is the day after Christmas. Her parents seemed to lump it in with Christmas all the time. I wonder if she would appreciate a red and green card with the cake inside with the both sentiments you used. Or, blue and silver with snowflakes embossed.
How high did Milo travel up the tree? That is too funny. Ted sure has tried to climb the trees but to no avail. Speaking of Ted, he managed to throw up in four places this morning on the carpet. What a mess. He is napping now so I think he is better once he got it all out. Poor guy. Must have eaten something on our last walk last night that didn’t agree with him. Well, off to get more cleaner stuff.
Happy Fourth! Your feast looks wonderful and Milo is a keeper! Such a fun card too. Thanks for taking time to share with us on this holiday!
Happy 4th OF July to you and your family! Love the card!
Happy 4th everyone! Love your cute, patriotic birthday card today. Your tips are always so helpful. Congrats to Mary Ann H, who is getting a beautiful card. Your crab feast looks so yummy. Milo is a hoot! Enjoy your day with family.
Happy 4th to everyone! Love this card…perfect for a patriotic bday. Milo is simply adorable…such a hunter and your crab fest looks awesome!
Congrats to Mary Ann for winning the lottery in the stamping world…a card from Susan! Today’s card is fantastic. The triple stamping of the sentiment adds a fun touch and the envelope is great as usual. We all loved the adorable picture of Milo; it brought back many memories of Willie chasing after squirrels. Thanks for sharing. My brother and sister-in-law have been here visiting from Minneapolis and they brought their two dogs, a sweet Doberman and an adorable Giant Schnauser. I really miss having a dog of our own but we’re getting closer to getting another pet. As you and so many others understand, it takes a while for the heart to heal after losing a pet. One of my favorite things about all holidays is the baking and cooking, and your feast looks delicious! Enjoy the rest of your day!!
