I admit, from the moment I saw the sample (that you will see late in the post) in the Annual Catalog I knew that I wanted to CASE this card! I thought it was just super simple and the way that the stamps fall into place of a tree – BRILLIANT!
I have a bunch of pictures for you and I hope that you agree that this is a fun card! I think that the simplicity of it lends itself to a card style that just about anyone would love. I am actually thinking that this would be a great card for Hannah to make….as it is super simple and I think that she would love it!
Below you will see the picture that I was talking about from the Annual Catalog….super sweet but as you can see, I changed it up a wee bit to make it with “my touches” I will say, I think that this below card is super simple and super stunning with all of the great “white space”
I am so happy that I “hit that button” and bought this stamp set, Better Together! I have already used it a bunch and I am just itchin’ to use that Birthday Hat next – this is a keeper of all keepers!
The size of this card is a 4 1/4″ square card (you know that this is one of my favorite sizes) and then I cut the DSP from the Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack the exact same size. I do not do this much but I should….I really like the way it looks and then the thin mat of red adds the “just right” amount of POP!
I made my own custom envelope with the Envelope Punch Board but one think about the 4 1/4″ card size….you could actually put it in one of our regular envelopes and it would not cost you any additional postage…BUT – you know me, I think that a custom envelope and the extra postage is worth it and I think the lucky person that is receiving it will be thrilled with an “odd size” card! (It is funny – I know that I get excited when I see a different shape)
Here is your 411 – Directory Assistance Card….Well – thoughts? I think that this is a great stamp and just think of how simple! I will say that I did use the Stamp-a-ma-jig as I wanted it to stamp up “just right” and then the little tree trunk – super simple!
Enjoy the day – it is HUMP DAY already, I am so confused with the Holiday….I will have “Wing-IT Wednesday” back next week….I honestly thought that it was Tuesday!!!!! (Silly Susan)! I have a treat for you tomorrow….I participated in a card swap using products from the Holiday Catalog….If I can not enable you….perhaps some of the card beauties will!
Thanks for popping in, make it a great day – and share some kindness!
I love this very simplistic card, Susan. It’s great for this stamp set makes it so easy. I like your color combination. Have a great day!
I love the card Susan! And the white envelope with the real red on it sends me over the top! You have become a VERY good enabler!!!
This stamp makes a perfect square card sentiment. Love your red dashes around the edge. Your little details always add so much.
Susan style all the way! Love it! I’m a little dense first thing in the morning, and I kept looking for the stamp you used on this card – I finally realized that it was two, stacked. Forehead slap. Now I want this set, too! Great card, Susan.
For once I am ahead of the game! I have this stamp set. You used it previously and I was, like you always say, OVER THE MOON with this sentiment. I ordered it with my hostess rewards (local demo) and paid the difference. So, I feel like I can play with the big girls and make your card. Well, I guess I have to wait for my shares to arrive so I can use that piece until I order my own paper stack. Of course I don’t have that envelope punch board either so my envelope will be just a regular one but I can still add the red to it! I think it is in the stars that I will have to CASE this card!
Such a sweet card today, Susan! Love how you combined the two stamps into one sentiment. Great bright colors too.
Love how you did this card with combining two different stamps…so very clever of you. Great color combo and your red dashes just make it all tie together! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
This is quite a nifty idea. I like how you jazzed up your version compared to the one in the catalog.
I agree that this particular stamp is what sold me on getting the “Better Together” set. I am challenged in the area of making square cards, not sure why I find them difficult. 🙂
I am a bit behind…somehow I managed to forget to read the posts. I get so eager to read them in the morning and sometimes force myself to wait until later in the day. Love this card…the placement of the sentiment looks like rocket science lol! At the same time it’s so easy-peasy 🙂
