Wow…it feels like it has been days since I have created a card and I must say, it feels great! Today I have a fun card for you that has a great layout. I decided to go with a “specific” layout so you can easily see that you can change the paper choices and also the stamp choices…you will always end up with a great card.
This is a short post as it is super late as I am typing this. I truly feel like there has been this “Gray HICCUP Cloud” over me this past week. Last night I spent hours on the phone with Apple Support with a computer problem (darn they are nice…and OH SO PATIENT)
You know me by now, I adore BIG sentiments and this stamp image is what me hit the BUY IT button when this stamp set came out. I will say, another thing that I adore about the stamp set is the fact that there are also some great sentiments to stamp on the inside of the card. (I hope that SU continues to do this) 🙂
I hope that this card can give you lots of ideas to JUST GO BOLD and let the DSP shine and let the sentiment shine. Take a look at the card and break it down – it is SUPER clean and SUPER easy.
Again, this is a card that is a great example of how using the basics works…every time! Your Trimmer, Big Shot, Layering Framelits, Classic DSP = A great card.
I think that the Warmth & Cheer DSP Stack has been a huge hit. PLAIDS are so on trend and this paper stack is filled with some handsome BIG & BOLD Plaids, and that make me smile!
Another quick thing I want to point out is to try different prints together. The plaid and the stars have very different feels but together, they work.
I know that the “TIME THING” gets in our way…but IF you have extra time on your hands (CALL ME, I would LOVE TO HAVE YOUR HANDS) but seriously, look at your scraps of DSP and cut them into specific shapes and then they will be ready when you want to create. Try mixing up all different types of shapes…you will be happy with the end result 🙂
In closing, for those of you that are affected by Hurricane Matthew, please be careful. We all know that these types of storms can be just devastating. I ordered something on Tuesday from a small business in Florida and I received an email from them saying that they were closing Thursday at noon and not reopening until Monday.
They went on and said that there are sorry for the inconvenience but their employees are priceless. I thought – WAY TO GO…..safety BEFORE anything! I hope that the storm weakens and the Southern Eastern States will not experience too much damage.
I hope to see you tomorrow – BOO….a FUN BOO!
Love this paper stack! Great card Susan!!! I could not agree more, safety is number one!
Wow! Love the bold…def need to try. Yes, we need more sentiment sets. It is good to see that companies are closing and making employees’ saftey a priority. I am hoping the hurricane gets downgraded to spare everyone in its path and I am hoping my vacation to western Florida next week is not affected. Beautiful Sanibel, I missed you 🙂
Love the layout of this card. Needed an idea for a couple of cards I wanted to make. Will definitely try this a couple of ways. I too hope Matthew downgrades in a hurry. Many of the east coast spots that are in his path are some of my favorite places to visit. I will be thinking of everyone that is in that area.
Great bold card! Love the colors….so crisp and fall-like. I agree with the others….safety is number 1 always. Praying for those affected by this hurricane and hopefully it will weaken soon.
Love the bright bold card today. Great versatile format.
Definitely a bold card. I know it is just me, but the Dijon star piece is just too much for me. But, I do like the mix of colors and patterns. When I saw it in my shares I thought it was rather odd and knew I would be cutting it into smaller pieces to use. But, that is just me. I love the plaid and the cherry cobbler as well as the big bold sentiment!
I hope Matthew is downgraded. Just the storms they produce is awful let alone the wind etc. Everyone stay safe. It was so great to see that company values it’s employees too.
You do big and bold so well. I like the mix of plaid and star pattern paper.
Great mix of patterns today. Love your card with the big, bold sentiment. Thanks for the nudge to use our DSP stash. You’re the best at that. Have a great weekend.
