WOW – it feels GREAT to be back on our weekend posts! I think that I have a clean and classic card for you that hopefully will make you smile. I know….I know, I am a clean and classic gal. To many, it might be boring but to me ~ I think that it carries a BIG STATEMENT….
I hope that you will pop back tomorrow to see what I do to make some changes (I admit, I have not created it yet….and I hope that I can make it stepped up as I really like this)
This 2 Bundles/Stamps were the special ingredients to make this simple card. I invite you to look at the sets and see that there are elements that are timeless. I was actually on the fence about both of them and then when I sat down and looked at the details….I felt like I was on THE VOICE and HIT THAT BUTTON (p.s. – I love show) 🙂
I admit that when I first saw that Santa framelit, I did not “get it” but once I could see and appreciate the details I thought BRILLIANT – what a fun card! You will see me posting about this in the future.
Below you will see some close up pictures of the details! This framelit that cuts out the details is just FUN and placing a piece of Real Red behind it make the POP happen in a second! LOVE IT and I will use it for many other clean, simple and classic cards!
The other element that is a keeper is the Real Red Bakers Twine…..this is a duo that is fabulous as it is perfect for Christmas but it will be great for Valentines as well and guess what – it can be yours FREE with a $75.00+ order with me this month.
The envelope liner makes the card come to life and it sets the tone for the card. I admit, I miss the envelope liner framelit that we used to have…..so I have to do my best in sharing you an easy way to make FUN happen. FUN happens when you just try to make things different. People do notice….if you have not tried it – do it….and I am sure that your friends will comment on what a beautiful envelope you sent!
See you tomorrow – I hope that I can make you happy! I have a HAPPY….actually – SUPER HAPPY story to share with you! My heart was skipping many beats at the golf tournament yesterday and I cannot wait to share it with you…!
Have a great day, please continue keep the Hurricane Matthew victims in your thoughts and prayers. See you in the morning!
I just adore this card. Clean, simple, but soooo original! Can’t wait to see how you can possibly step it up tomorrow. I can’t wait to hear you good story either! P.S. How are all the fur children doing (and the piggy) – You have not provided updates of late and pics are ALWAYS welcome!
Thanks for the comment. Soooooo glad you like the card. I will do an update on the animals but one thing I can tell you is that Daisey is looking much better….her hair is growing back and even though she has always been a beautiful piggy in my eyes….she is looking glamorous!
Susan,This is a cute simple fun card . I can not wait to see how you step this up. I Am looking forward to hearing your story tomorrow.Have s great day .Ellen Hinds
Hi Ellen…I know that the story will make your heart skip a beat with happiness!
I love these tags ,but did not get them ….I may get them because like you I think there is after Christmas use in a couple ! Also I get sets sometimes for just one item that I gotta have ! This card is a surprise with the adorable cut out red line !! Wonder what you will come up with tomorrow ????
Love THE VOICE also (I love the judges the most )
Holding our breath here with Matthew ….we have been hit with bad effects from Fall hurricanes before ! Today was the day for bad weather for us in our area .
Will keep you in my prayers. Be safe, Sonny.
We’re thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. Hugs from Wisconsin.
Hi Sonny…I hope that you are doing ok with the storm. Hannah says that it has been pouring. Please stay inside….great time to stamp! I was on the fence about these ornaments but they are very classic. You are sooooo right, they can be used for other projects – I am sure that you saw what Brian did with the one…..BRILLIANT but then again, he is the KING!!!!! Hugs!
I admit I didn’t really get the Greetings from Santa bundle, but your card is making me look a little closer!!!! Aha……it really offers quite a bit more than I was thinking!!! Love your card!!!!!
I hear you and I felt the SAME WAY…it was by all means not on my 1st list of I JUST HAVE TO HAVE but I am glad that I hit that button…I am going to do a shaker card with the Santa face….keep a look out for that one! Have a great day and thanks for popping in!
You are definitely a clean, classic and classy gal! I love the design of this card and can’t wait to see tomorrow’s version. Have a great day!
Yep…that’s me! Sometimes I think I am a bit boring when I see others works but this is how I roll. I do wish that you could see me when I try to make something super fussy….I stress!
Love clean and simple cards! This one is so great! Like the others I did not “see” everything both sets had and may have to take a closer look. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s version. Enjoy the day!
You also as a clean and simple gal and also one that loves animals! I thought of you the other day as my “sheep” tipped over – I thought…..maybe we need to do a fox one! I hope that you like Sunday’s version!
Love this card, Susan! Can’t wait to see the upgrade!!
Thanks for popping in. It was super fun and as you can see…..super easy to make!
Love it love it! You can’t go wrong with simple &McLean.
LOVE the comment, I am smiling!
Such a clean and classic style to this card!! I’m curious how you made your lines so perfect…I imagine you used the grid paper and post-it tape, but I’d love to hear any tips. I overlooked this bundle at first also because it is so intricate but I might have to take a closer look; you’re making me think twice. I’m anxious to see your stepped-up version tomorrow as well as to hear your story from the tourney.
P.S. I love The Voice also.
All I did was take a pencil and made a line in the middle and then on both ends at 3/4″ inch. The Magnetic Platform is a HUGE help but you could easily put tape over top to keep it straight and flat! I will put this in Sunday’s post.
I will say that I think this is a great framelit. Wouldn’t it be perfect to have under a sentiment to “highlight it”
Hugs my friend!
Yes, Susan, I love this clean and simple card too. I don’t know how you will beat this one.
🙂
Well I can tell you what made my heart happy….your card – it was so special and also super clean and simple…a definite CASE!
I really love your red and white simple card!
Thanks….Keep it simple – it works! Sometimes I like to limited myself to just 2 colors and see if I can make it work – try it….it is hard to do but once you get over the hump….you will do it often!
This is gorgeous!
Thanks Kendel…it was super easy!
Oh wow! I confess that it took me a little bit to “get” this card. Somehow I thought you’d actually stitched with the twine on your card (that’s not so simple!). I do like this for simple elegance. Let’s see what tomorrow brings!
Now THAT THOUGHT made me laugh out loud!!! Stitching the twine….NOPE!!!! This twine is a dream machine – it is super soft and I just thought…double it up – it worked! You have a very special package coming to you tomorrow!!!!
I am a day late and a dollar short….where is the envelope liner used? Fun card and it reminds me of sort of a weird shaped candy cane stick type thing – but that is a good thing!Love the simplicity and the colors. Great card!
