Well….I landed….my little car PACKED to the max pulled into our garage around 7 p.m. and I was greeted by my friends….they all came running out the door and jumped into my car before I could get out…and I was filled with lots of licks and wagging tails!
The funny thing was…they did not see me at first pull in the lane as I went to the barn to check to see if all of the horses had shoes on… and give hugs all around….check princess Daisey and then….when they heard the garage door open – THAT WAS IT!!!!
I came home “dogless” but that is fine, trust me….we do our fair share with animals and it was just not in the cards. (there will be other opportunities)
I admit, I was happy that I kept my blog going….that I had fun, that I learned a lot….but it is great to be home! Back to reality and tomorrow I will have a card for you!
I thought that you would enjoy some pictures of dogs that were around the show. I didn’t get a many as I wanted as darn, it was hard keeping track of my Dad and Aunt Jean!!!!
Enjoy!
These 2 sweet girls came over to the bus to see the rescue dogs come…the one to the right was “Marta” – the one that we were looking at! Aren’t dogs just the best!
This is hysterical….this dog is actually pretty big…he is a hoot – if the owner says….”Go get in the bucket”…he does it – one funny dog!
This is a “heart toucher” for me…….I get such a kick out of seeing dogs watch horses go around a course. This dog was soooooo good – he watched for over an hour while I was there!
Now isn’t he adorable! This is Toms dog, “Chewy”…now I am sure that many of you think he is not so cute….but he is the CUTEST EVER!!!! He really is a Heinz 57…..but we love him to pieces!
Now these guys…how can they not make you take a double take! I do not think that they are “mutts” but are they SUPER ADORABLE or what! I could have scooped them up and taken them to Randall Lane in an instant! Every time I walked by this barn, they were together sitting on a tack trunk!
This little dude was a hoot. Every Morning he was at the Hospitality Tent where they had Bagels….he did his best to win peoples heart for a nibble. How could I resist., he received one from me every morning!
Have a fabulous day and I will be back on the inspiration train tomorrow….

You take wonderful pictures. All the sweet faces….thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the pawsitively fabulous pics of the pups….. Heart warming and a great way to start t he week! THANK YOU!
What a wonderful way to start a week! Love all of them!!
Love the pics of the dogs!! They are all adorable. In fact, we have a dog that looks just like Chewy. We adopted “Benji” and don’t know his heritage.. just that he is a terrier mix. He is the most lovable dog!
Love, love, love! What a great way to start the morning off….smiling at those adorable pup pics! Thanks, Susan.
Welcome home, Thanks for sharing the dog pictures. They are all adorable.
Great pics!!! Love seeing all those cuties!! It so makes me want a herd of dogs!
Such cute pics! The trunk track twins look like my new puppy & he is a mini goldendoodle. Love him to pieces.
Good Morning Susan, Welcome Home, safe and sound! These pics are the best. OMG, my heart would love one. I think you captured the personalities perfectly. My sister volunteers at a local shelter and she is always showing me pics too. I thank the people who run these shelters and work endlessly for the animals.
Have a great Monday!
🙂
I really like your posts about everything! My daughter showed hunt seat for years and was hunt seat captain while in college. You can imagine the amount of time we spent at barns and shows with the horses, dogs, and (don’t forget) the barn cats. I am a big fan of your simple card ideas. Keep up the good work.
Such sweeties, all of them. The other day I watched a woman trying to walk 3 dogs who were bound and determined to tangle her up in their leashes. I thought, “Who has 3 dogs?!” Later I realized…. Nevermind, just nevermind. I have 5 cats, who am I to question (and cats are just as likely to try to kill ya).
Sounds like you would not have had room for Marta anyway! The right one(s) will come again. You had your hands full with your aunt and dad roving around! But, the drive home with company would have been nice. I am glad you are home safe and sound. Now you need to snuggle with the dogs and rest up! We can wait! I still can’t believe you kept up your blog through all this time. Just show us some swaps or what you made and make us jealous, well, me anyway.
Chewy was my favorite. I love mixed breed dogs. Thanks for the photos.
Great pictures, Susan. Being away is nice, but there’s nothing like being home. Like Chris R. said, get some rest, we can wait. Take care.
So glad you made it home safely, tired but happy, I’m sure! Your photography skills are exceptional–these are poster worthy pictures and showcase the dogs at their cutest. Thanks for sharing.
