Do YOU have a BUCKET LIST?
As I shared with you yesterday, I needed to be out of town so today we are going to have some BLOG CANDY!!! YIPPEE….Before we left for the day I did what I do every year, watch to see if that silly ground hog saw his shadow. Don’t ask me why….but – going to that crazy and unique event has always been on my bucket list!
Here are a couple of things that I would love to do….and I find it fun to think about things that you would really like to do or experience. I can remember seeing the movie “Bucket List” and true it was unrealistic in many ways, it did have a great message about enjoying life!
Please share something that would be on your Bucket List….I am sure that we all have lots of different things that we would like to do! On Friday I will pick a random winner and here is what you will win……how about some basics….because you know me, I am a huge believer in keeping it simple with having the “right supplies” to make a project a fun and rewarding process!
- A bottle of Green Glue
- A Roll of Tear and Tape
- A pack of Stampin’ Dimensions
- Project Life Pens (these are THE BEST for writing…no smears)
See you tomorrow….can’t wait to read what are somethings that you would like to do!
Learn to play a musical instrument
Travel to Tibet.
Go to Tuscany. The movie Under The Tuscan Sun totally captivated me.
Go to the Ellen Show!!!!
I have no bucket list. Just grateful for each day as it comes!
Hmmm . . . nothing immediately comes to mind. Funny how your bucket list changes as you get older. Things I once wanted to do no longer appeal to me.
Have a great weekend!
🙂
I’m pretty content, but I guess running a marathon has always been a secret goal. Thanks!
I want to see a whale in the wild.
I would Love to spend either a Thanksgiving or a Christmas with my family in a cabin at a state park.
Travel the US. I always wanted to go overseas, too, but will be doing that this summer! Looking forward to that for sure.
Do some meaningful volunteer work. And now that I have been able to retire a bit early, this is totally achievable!
I have conquered a few bucket list items but an Alaskan adventure is my #1. Some day, some day. Have a dreamy kind of day and enjoy!

My bucket list would include going to Disney with my whole family; staying in a cabin in the mountains of Montana for a month; and touring Italy. (Oh, and I’ve been to the Ellen Show….sat in the front row….it was a blast!!!)
Get a softer or more comfortable seat for my fence sitting when trying to decide if I like the Saturday project or the stepped up version better. Ah, I had to say something silly didn’t I? Mary Ann’s Alaskan cruise sounds pretty good I think. But, then I would have to worry about seasickness maybe or falling overboard? I have always wanted to go to Italy both rural and city versions like Rome, Venice, and Florence but also the Tuscany area. Mike has a friend who goes to various parts of Italy and has asked us to save our money up to go with them. His wife speaks Italian and teaches several languages. I have always wanted to own a complete collection of something like DMC thread or better yet the Weeks Overdyed collection, Gentle Arts, Caron collection etc. I have always wanted a Bull Dog, chocolate lab, and/or a Scottish Terrier. I was amused nobody had any SU stuff listed. So, I would like to be able to buy any stamp set, paper, ink etc. that I wanted – just because I wanted it and could have it as well as all my hobby stuff organized and able to create in one area. Oh, my now I am listing the impossible dreams…..
Hi Chris, love your list. I’ve had a chocolate lab and at one time I had 3 English Bulldogs. They are the best!
Michelle
Visit the Bay of Fundy in Nova Scotia and watch the tide changes.
Susan, I went to the Bay of Fundy this past October and it was awesome! Especially the area at Hopewell Rocks….it is so worth the trip!
Hi Susan, I always have a great time reading your posts. At the age of 47, I have already managed to do most of my bucket list, but the biggest thing I still really, REALLY want to do is go to Bora Bora and stay in one of those hotel huts that are on the water. If I could only do one more thing in my life, that would be it!
Have a wonderful weekend!
Michelle
Mine would be buying a camper and traveling the US…But since my husband is a workaholic I guess I just need to be happy where I’m at.lol…I love to camp, he doesn’t. But I’m happy wherever I’m at. Have a great weekend Susan
Love all of your posts! I would love to go to Australia!
Oh fun….I would like vet to take my whole family to Hawaii!!! ❤
I’ve always wanted to go to Cario and back to Germany, Take another cruise, go to Jamaica,( ever since I gave birth to my twins 32 years ago. My nurse was from Jamaica and she was absolutely the nicest and the funniest nurse I have ever had), and I would love to go to Tiger Island so I could pet the tigers!!
One of the things on my bucket list is to go on an extended vacation and tour the western USA. i love stories about the “wild west”. Would love to see bison, the rock formations, etc.
Paris in the spring!
Good Morning Susan,
My bucket list includes a trip to New Zealand & Australia. To those of you who have Alaska on your list, do it!!! It has been by far, the best vacation my husband & I have been on so far. Have a great day!
Kathy
Ooohh yes! I would love to go to an Ellen show. If I dvr or catch an episode, it puts a smile on my face 🙂 One thing on my list is go to Alaska to see the amazing wildlife, the whales, the Northern Lights or whatever they are called.
I would love to see Alaska!
One thing I have on my bucket list is to learn to speak Spanish. I studied it in h.s. and college but I never could really carry on a conversation. I bought a set of 4 CDs to listen to while working but never got past the first one.
I don’t really have a bucket list – if I did the Alaska cruise trip would’ve been on it but I got to do that one! It was awesome by the way. So now I would really love to get to visit Hawaii!
Travel to England! Home of Harry Potter, Dr Who, the Beatles, Jane Austen, Sherlock, etc (and some amazing stampers!). Also on my bucket list, if you can imagine, is to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida. I’m a total nerd!
My bucket list is to go to my deep roots of Ireland…just found out I’m 30% Irish! Erin go braugh! I also want to travel…at least all over the USA…to see our beautiful countryside.
Go on the train to see the Canadian Rocky Mountains!
That’s on my list too!
Take our home built airplane around the outline of the great USA, stopping at numerous little airports and exploring the small, hidden towns.
Traveling is always on my bucket list. Would like to see Barcelona, Denmark, return to Italy again. See more National Parks. Also want to meet the people who’s blog I read daily, like you, Susan.
Alaska is on our bucket list. One day…
Thanks Susan for your wonderful ideas!
I would love to go to Hawaii for a month and spend time on all of the islands.
Wow, what an adventure! I would like to go to Maine & sit down & have some fresh lobster!! Eat lobster until I was really, really satisfied!! We live in the MidWest & really don’t have fresh seafood here. I am kind of a “foodie”!! 🙂
Travel, travel, travel to Martha’s Vineyard, Prince Edwards Island, train trip east to west coast, France to visit my pen pal!!!
Thank you for the fun and opportunities to visualize- dreams do come true!
I would love to travel around the United States and see all the beautiful countryside and visit relatives here and there?
Travel to and watch a baseball game at all the Major League baseball stadiums in North America.
How fun is this to think about! My bucket list also includes Alaska but I dream of going on one of the smaller ships to get up close and explore the land and the wildlife. I also have always wanted to go to Turkey to see the beginnings of civilization as we know it. Oh dear….too many things however I also have to list our National Parks as a must do.
We would love to take a cruise with our boys before they get married and have families of their own. Hope to do that in the future. Thanks for the chance to win…I am almost out of green glue!
Would love to go to the masters golf tournament. This August I can cross off on my bucket list a family reunion – two weeks of us all being together. Also would like to go to Costa Rico and do their zip line.
I would love to go to the Northeast in the fall. I love changing leaves. I would like to visit the Simon Pearce factory.
Travel to Japan, Australia and Sweden to see all the exchange students who have lived with us. Although most have stayed in touch, it would be fun to see them as adults with their children.
For me, I want to go to CA or FL in the winter to get out of MN when it is freezing. I do love snow, but not the cold! .
Living in IL we’re right in the middle of the Midwest 🙂 We are actually discussing a trip out west or out east with the family this year. It’s our 25th wedding anniversary this year, but we may make it a family trip since these kiddos won’t be with us forever! Thanks for the chance at some goodies! I’ve not tried those pens but I’m sure they are great since you love them so! You are the one who got me to try the green glue & I use it lots now! Hope you have a nice time away!
A designated craft/sewing room is first on my list. Then traveling to some of our national parks. Finally a winter vacation in Florida. Thanks for asking it was fun to dream
I don’t see go to Diana’s on yer list. Love ya, Di
Yeah Susan, I thought you always wanted to go to the Iowa State Fair with me. I guess we all just listed partial bucket lists as I am sure there are more items on my list……seems like I am always wanting something.
Zip line in the Amazon rain forest (which we are doing in April), European river cruise (Sept 2018), Alaska, Hawaii, train trip across Canada… These are all on my husband’s bucket list (I don’t have one.) but I will go anywhere with him!
Although I have a tremendous fear of heights, I have long wanted to go up in a hot air balloon.
I have two things for the list….Always wanted to be able to play a piano or organ, that is play it very well! The second thing is to have a room for my SU which I could have totally organized and accessible when I stamp….maybe that is a dream?
We are looking at buying an RV. I want to take a trip to Yellowstone National Park.
I agree with Nancy F., the bucket list changes as you get older. I would love to go to all 5 Girl Scout World Centers before I’m too old and infirm! Went to the one in England last summer & now only have the ones in Mexico, India, Switzerland and Madagascar. Only……!
I would love to go on an African Safari to see all the animals
Would love to meet and craft with as many Stampin’up demonstrators that I could!
How fun! I love reading everyone’s posts, funny how different they can be. I’ve been lucky and have been able to do a few of them, without thinking of them as “bucket list” things. I would love to see the Galapagos Islands, cruise Alaska, and continue camping my way around the US.
I have always wanted to pilot a plane but it is so expensive I have pared down that bucked list since having children and paying for college!
I have been blessed to travel the world. So I would love to see peace in the world for everyone.
Attend the NHRA Four-Wide Nationals at zMAX dragway in North Carolina.
I would love to go on a horse drawn sleigh ride.
Take a cruise to Alaska
I would love to go on an Alaskian cruise and see the Northern Lights and glaciers!
We love to travel, so my bucket list is full of travel destinations. Australia, New Zealand and Alaska are just a few.
Mine go to Alaska!
Wow — so many ideas 🙂 I have not created a bucket list yet, but, think I need one! My husband suffered a heart attack at a young age (49), so we appreciate each moment of each day 🙂 — I want to do a Cardmaking SU adventure somewhere, and help my husband own a thoroughbred racehorse! Thanks for your inspiration, Susan!
I would love to go on a family trip to Hawaii!!!
My bucket list is very short, but one of the things on it was to grow my hair long enough to donate it – I accomplished this one!!! The other thing on my list is to play the drum set at my church for the worship time. I need to take lessons first, but it’s a desire of mine 🙂
I wanted to go on an Alaskan cruise for my 25th wedding anniversary, which was 9 years ago – that didn’t happen. After reading all these posts and the number of people that want to go to Alaska, I might change my mind – it will be too crowded 🙂
I don’t have a bucket list, but if I did it would include traveling to all 50 states as well as visiting at least 1 country on each of the 7 continents. Loved reading all the ideas on everyone’s bucket list!
Thanks Susan for the opportunity to win some blog candy.
We have traveled quite a bit but seeing the Northern Lights remains on my bucket list. I wouldn’t mind going to Canada or Norway but there is no guarantee the Lights would happen during the time I was there. It would be nice to go and be able to stay until I saw them. I need to hit the lottery…but I’ve heard the only way to win is to play!! LOL! Australia and New Zealand are on my list but the flights are so long and business class is expensive. (We have bad knees and need the extra room business class affords us.) Should I win the lottery then I could cross all of this off my list! When I dream, I dream big!!
For those of you who want to visit Alaska, it is an awesome trip.. We flew to Anchorage, took a train to Denali, then a bus down the Yukon Highway, got a cruise ship in Skagway to Vancouver. The scenery, wildlife, and people are wonderful. I hope all of you can mark it off your bucket list in the future.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
I would love to spend a month in Italy, go to the South Beach Food and Wine Festival and visit Savannah,Georgia.
Living on the west coast I would like to see the fall colors in New England and eat lobster rolls, attend a Broadway play in New York. Philadelphia and Boston would also be on the list.
Oh funny, so many want to go to Alaska. An Alaskan cruise has been on our bucket list for a while. Looks like we will have lots of company 🙂
The truth, I would love to visit Italy! Not only that I would love to have an organize craft room for scrapbooking and stamping, whereI can close the door and go back when I want and give up my dining room table. This is just a few things on my list.
Interesting all these desires, and most of them include travel. I take Dorothy’s words to heart “there’s no place like home.” I don’t have a bucket list. But I do have buckets, many many buckets. It comes with owning fish tanks.
