Well it is here, March 31st and the END of Sale-a-bration! I say….where has the time gone? I guess it is like my little Jack Russell shows – it has ZOOMED by…..I can remember all of the fun we have had but you still have time today to take part in the opportunity to check your stash…..place an order and get a freebie!
I have a FUN card for you. This was created by Carol Frear. When I received it I was excited as it was not only super cute but it was a FUN POP card…..I am sure that many of you know the “correct term” of the type of card…..but you know me…..SIMPLE SUSAN and this is one card that I honestly think that I could not make!
I tried to find the instructions for you….but I could not seem to find them. Carol shared with me that she was inspired by Lee Ann Greff. I know that there are a bunch of you that like “fun fold” cards….and hat’s off to you as what can I say….but challenged….maybe impatient is better!
It is super fun that it lays flat but then ~ open it up and WOW….HELLO GIRLS – HOW ARE YOU DOING? So darn tootin’ cute!
Now to another ray of sunshine for you…this is an OVER THE TOP FUN IDEA and you bet that I am going to case it myself. Carol said that she makes these jars of Sunshine for the Seniors and they just love it (and I can see why) – There is something about the color of yellow that is a SMILE maker each and every time!
There is just something about the “simple things” that can make someones day. This is a wonderful gift for anyone!
Now to my saga….I STILL HAVE NOTHING to report about the NEW potential Itell….and I admit, I am getting frustrated as the rain delay -I understood….BUT – I have not had a return call so I am sad that it might not happen…..it is what it is and I only hope that the ????? animal has a happy home.
Look below at this pathetic picture….Milo truly is the best and I think that he clearly was brought into our lives to help me through the loss of Eddie. Darn, I still miss my little man but Milo…..he is stepping right up to the plate.
Leo, James’ dog had a bone…and Milo went for the bone and the rest is history. His ear was a “bit injured” but he milked it to the max…..when John came home he said, WE NEED SOME BAND-AID’S…. (I thought that he was kidding….but he was not)….so here you can see “the PRINCE” on our bed milking it!
He has kept them on ALL DAY yesterday and I am just waiting to see if and when they come off. For those of you that have animals – you know they are like kids……they will take the extra treatment and love!
So there you go…..last day for the FREEBIE….a super FUN card….and a pathetic dog that makes my heart skip many beats! I deeply thank you for a fun sale-a-bration…this is the best journey and I love to be on it with YOU!
Be a kid and double check your list for Santa – the BEST time to get the basics…and a FREEBIE!!!!
p.s. – don’t forget the retiring In Colors….

What a beautiful card, Carol! Love those chick-a-booms! Susan, hopefully you will receive good news concerning your mystery fur baby. Milo looks so “woe is me” but is rockin’ his ear bling! ?
Hi Susan, Hey Chicks is my favorite SAB and this card is super. I love the folds of this card. Sometimes that is what I like . . . an architecture-type card. Sometimes I don’t feel like getting all inky . . . over my hands.
Milo does look so sad. 🙁 We both know a new Itell will only come at the right time!
Happy Friday!
🙂
I adore the chick’s and the card. But I especially love Milo! We had a female Norwegian Elkhound who had a cut on her front paw and it was bandaged. I saw her outside digging like crazy in my flower bed. When I called her name, she turned and sat down, and immediately held up her bandaged foot. It was like “don’t yell at me I’m injured”!! You can’t help but love them. ❤
Sweet, sweet Milo!!! It’s adorable he kept his bandages on.
Carol, love your card and jar of sunshine!!! Always fun to see what others are up to.
Even though SaleABration is ending, I hope to continue to see those Chicks!!!!
Oh Milo ! I told you that he is a twin to our Gretchen of long ago !! Sooooo cute ! Poor baby !!
Shucks ! I was hoping to see the new addition today ! Wonder what`s up ????
Carol ! Your card is the cutest ! Love it !
Dear Susan, te card is so cute. With the chicks on it. Poor Milo he looks so sad. His face tells all. I hope he will keep those bandages on for a while This way he can heal. I love the comment from Jackie. That is so funny about your dog. Susan I agree with Nancy, Te right dog will come at the right time. It is God’s time not our time. Patience is a virtue. It is sometimes hard for all of us to wait. Love Ellen Hinds
Ahhh poor sweet Milo. I looked at his photo and wondered what was on his ear. It was nice of dad to have almost matching band aides but I think some with stars or fun ones might perk him up a bit. He is wearing them just like the little trooper he is. I can imagine hearing him telling Leo, “Choke on that ol’ bone, I didn’t really want it anyway.”
Carol, your card is wonderful as is your jar of sunshine! I think LeeAnn called it a pop and twist card. It is on her blog post of 2/1/17. I thought I would make one for Susan but then remembered I didn’t get any SAB stuff yet. It is a great card for showcasing the chicks. The local card group I go to just didn’t see the interest in the girls. Whatever, their loss as I think we had a good time with that set. I wonder what the new catalog will hold in the way of naming animals and such let alone the new colors. I am just imagining a new hair color for Phyllis! Some demos make thank you cards out of the new colors or whatever kind of cards – I could just see a collection of cards with Phyllis on them sporting one of the new colors on each card!
The twist and pop card is great. I made one a couple of weeks ago at a make and take and it was super fun! I love the jar of sunshine for seniors. Poor Milo, but he seems to be taking it in stride. I hope he’s well soon and your new family member materializes for you. Loved Jackie’s dog story. I’m getting anxious for the sneak peeks of the new colors and new catalog. This dreary day is good for being inky! Have a great weekend, Susan.
Milo and his ear–what a hoot. My cat was rolling around on the floor with his paws curling up, looking at me, desperate for attention. You just know he was saying, “Mom! Mom! MOM!!!” They are so much like kids.
Cool card. I’ve seen (and made) that with the other orientation. How cool to see it on its side. Those are fabulous and fun style cards. That one has the inside covers and the mechanism as all one piece. I learned to do it where the mechanism and the inside covers are separate and it isn’t hard. The hardest part is ALL THOSE PANELS TO DECORATE! 🙂
Sad to see “the girls” go but you and Carol are sending them out in style! Poor Milo. Wearing his badges of valor!
