Yesterday I shared that I was “away” for some “continuing education” (ha-ha) with a fellow PAL and I am hoping to be able to hop on the computer later today to share with you what we are up to…trust me, it is going to be fun!
I thought – what could we do that would be FUN and I think I have a keeper for you! What will you win???? Well…how about this – you all know that the NEW CATALOG is right around the corner and you all know that we have 5 NEW IN COLORS….so how about a pack of the new in colors Cardstock and also a pack of the NEW MINI Stampin’ Dimensionals. (as soon as I can order them I will)
I have a feeling that there are going to be multiple people that guess the answers so if that is the case, I will use random.org for the winner! I just love trivia so let’s see how you do!
Leave your comment and good luck!
- What is the name of Stamp Set that has been in the Catalog the longest?
- What is the most popular bundle from the Occasions Catalog?
- How many pages was the first Stampin’ Up Catalog?
This will be funny to see the answers. I called Stampin’ Up! to ask the questions and answers. Good luck and until later!

Well how in the world would I know the last answer? The first answer would most likely be Lovely as a Tree. Or, is there a sleeper of a set we all missed and this is a trick? The second question re: Occasions catalog, ok are we talking about the present one? Most popular as in purchased, CASED, overall or what? Some people say the swirly bird and that isn’t in the latest catalog so that is why I am confused. Nailed it had to be pretty popular with Father’s Day but was slow at first.Cool Treats is gaining with hot weather coming on. Dragonfly Dreams seemed to be hot right out the gate. Oh So Succulent – well if it was so darn popular – why wasn’t it carried over, hey we use plants all year round. I didn’t get in on the Sealed with Love bundle but it was mighty popular at Valentine’s Day but not so much now. Birthday Blast was cool but maybe not as stellar as the stars on it? Balloon Adventures bundle seemed quite popular but why are the parts on sale and retiring? I think there was a little box bundle in there too but probably not the most popular. Lift Me Up bundle – well I just didn’t see the big thing about this but once I really paid attention I got it and bought it and love the sentiments especially. I guess I am caught between the Cool Treats, Sealed with Love and the Lift me up one. Since most people are caught up in the whole Valentine thing – maybe it was the most popular in this catalog? DO I get any points for analyzing? How many pages in the first catalog – how would I know – I would like to say that was before I was born but I guess I would just have to say before my time (stamping time that is). Several people said 64 so that sounds like a nice sort of weird number so I will say that too. I have no patience waiting to ask SU on the phone about the answers. A 177 pages seems like a huge catalog to start with since the annual catalog it just a little over 200 now. But what do I know-was there that many stamps even made whenever let alone cardstock colors and inks? Whatever the answers, take pity on me for trying to pick the answers and entertain everyone!
THANK YOU, Chris! I too wondered how Oh So Succulent could be the most popular bundle since it didn’t carry over–unless SU is thinking ahead that the market is now saturated with succulents from everyone.
As for old, old stamps I knew it was Lovely as a Tree, but way back in the day was this teddy bear set that went on and on and on and on. I wonder how long lived that one was.
I got a bit verbous there, I meant to say Sealed with Love and Dragonfly dreams and not the Lift me up set though I think it is right up there! He, he get it! I wanted to put that it would be right up there but I think those little dragonflies soared past the balloons though I like the bee better. I had Teddy whaling at me distracting my punmanship!
My guesses, which are just that:
Lovely as a Tree
Dragonfly Dreams
64 pages
Lovely as a Tree (still a go to fave!)
Dragonfly Dreams (so beautiful!)

What fun!
some of those comments are so funny, lol! I agree about the Lovely as a Tree being the longest in the books. as for the other 2, I have seen a lot of Lift me up on line so I am going with that and the pages of the first book, I think I will go with the 64 answer, lol
Of course the longest running stamp set is “Lovely As A Tree” – hope SU never retires that set. Most popular bundle is Special Reason Bundle, but I think the Dragonfly Dream bundle runs a close race.. Since it was the 1st catalog it couldn’t been too large, so I am going to guess 64 pages.
Longest running set–I’m torn between “Lovely as a Tree” and “Wild Wetlands,” and am crossing my fingers that it’s “LAAT.” Most popular bundle– “Dragonfly Dream,” which is nothing but a guess. First catalog–24 pages.
Lovely as a Tree
Dragonfly Dreams bundle
