How can you NOT take a deep sigh and smile…..
Good Thursday to all! I am hoping that today is a better day as I had a 24 hour bug that WOWZERS, knocked me! I am giddy with this card as I have adored this stamp set from the very first time I saw it in the catalog last year….but the sad news is –
It is WALKING THE PLANK…
That’s ok because, Love & Affection is still available (for now) and the sentiment – that is from the Beautiful You Stamp Set and that IS being carried over! (I am super happy with that as there are soooo many amazing things that you can do with this stamp set!)
The inspiration for this card came from a card swap at the On Stage in Richmond. The minute I received it I knew that this is a “keeper” and I just had to share it with you!
Let’s get to it and at the end I will show you the swap card that I received. I will say, this stamp set is sooooo forgiving and the best tip that I can give you is to HAVE FUN…..pick your color scheme and GO FOR IT!
The beauty of a card like this is the fact that there are NO RULES…just GO FOR IT – pick the colors that you like and have a great date with Stamps, Ink & Paper! You can overlap with color, you can mask (I did not do that at all)…all I say is – JUST HAVE FUN!
Do you remember….the mantra that I have said over and over ~ the basics work…each and every time – today the “basics” that I am using are the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Layering Ovals….you just cannot go wrong with the basics!
You can easily tell that I have not put away the DSP from yesterday -I just love it and it is soooooo surprisingly that I love it so much as it comes from a very whimsical collection but you know Stampin’ Up! – there are always 2 sides to their great paper so one side will make you smile!
It is funny, there are times that you just “have to” let the newbies settle in before you make a decision to come to your home! (that’s why I offer product shares and YEP – I will be doing shares with the new upcoming catalog) I truly thing that when you see the catalog, the pictures of the papers just do not do them justice – you need to see them in person to let them grow on you!
I am sure that you are getting tired of these type of pictures but I will say that I get many emails about the envelopes! Most of the time I use a 1/4″ strip of a solid cardstock and then add a 2″ X 6″ piece of paper and then cut the excess away – EASY – FAST – DONE!
Now here is the card that I received while in Richmond. Is it the best for what! I am sorry that I cannot give the credit that it deserves to the “swap stamper” . I adore her color combination and actually you can see that she “stepped it up” by masking the oval before she added the sentiment!
A great example of there are many way to do things!
Here is you picture to save for the future and I hope that you are getting as excited as I am for the new catalog to come out! I LOVE the feedback that I get from you and YES – my catalogs are ordered and I can hardly wait to spoil my customers with the new catalog and more!
If you are not currently working with a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator, I would love to send you a catalog….just email me and I will be happy to do so!
Have a great day and I hope that this has inspired you to stamp…stamp & stamp some more…. Have FUN with colors! I hope to see you back tomorrow as I have a Friday FUNNY for you with Milo – (my perfect Milo)
Darn, I love that little dog and it is so funny how much JOY you can get from a little guy that needed a home!

Absolutely love your CASE and the color combo you chose. Stunning!
CASE away…that’s what worked for me!
This is a BEAUTIFUL card….. absolutely gorgeous!
Thank you…..I was happy with the end result! It really is so easy – just PICK YOUR COLORS….and poof – a cute card!
Yes, this is one of my faves too!
🙂
It is a KEEPER! How was Scrabble today!!!????!!!!?????
Fresh and perfect for Spring!
Just like you….fresh and perfect!
Beautiful spring card with a beautiful sentiment! Hope that 24 hours of bug are long gone!
It’s a keeper and yep, I am feeling better – I would even like a Berger Cookie!
Really sweet card. I am getting excited for the new catalog! Can’t wait to thumb through and mark pages!
You will be having some “me time” – I am still getting used to it – you know it takes time to sink in! My order is IN!
Absolutely lovely! Perfect sentiment, too!
I sooooo agree…I was thrilled to receive this as a swap!
Oh so sweet and pretty. Good job of CASEing and your little signature dots made me smile! Really well done. Looking forward to a Milo story. Ted is safely avoiding all the commotion of the first day of the Tulip Festival. He is not a happy camper when outside but safe and stretched out on the couch, that is ok except for the tour wagons with the spielers guiding the tour and pointing out things a bit too loud for him. I turned on the Food Channel to help with the outside noise. At least it is pretty out and sunny with lots of tulips left blooming. He did not enjoy much of the craft market so we went home and I will go back by myself later. Maybe later he will want to go people watch from the safety of the front porch but for now the couch is all his!
Tulips…Food Channel – the best of BOTH WORLDS! I bet it is beautiful and by far….tulips are my all time favorite flower! Poor Teddy – I do the same and the food tv is the channel of choice when I leave the house! Hugs …
Love your card and the inspiration card too. Like you said so many possibilities with the different color combinations. Love and affection may be walking the plank but there is a new stamp set that has bits and pieces in it that I’m sure we’ll have fun playing with just as much.
I love your mantras about just do it, don’t fuss over it, etc. I was putting little white dots a la Susan along the edge of something when I realized that I was getting anxious over it so I just imagined you standing over me telling me not to overthink it, just do it, etc.
AMEN SISTER….just do it…and get it DONE!
I am the very 1st that says that overthinking is TOTALLY overrated….you do amazing work and I am sooooo proud of how you have tackled and mastered watercoloring…..you might get a fun pack this weekend…..
No fussing for a PRINCESS!
Lovely card & your emerald envy oval really makes your sentiment pop!
YIPPEE…I do love the emerald envy but the NEWBIE…..Lemon Lime Twist – WOOT-WOOT!
Love the colors ! Such a great card for an all occasion one to attach what ever sentiment needed at the time .
I watched Cesar last night with his working with Jerry Seinfeld`s two Doxies ….so cute ! Can`t wait to read Milo`s adventures tomorrow. You know we had a Mini Doxie for years and she was a HOOT !! Love `em !!
Get better ! Warm healing wishes your way !
I totally forgot….I did see your Vet show and they were picking out a pig for a family – it was soooooo cute! I adore Milo and I had Doxies growing up…..and WOW – they are a great breed……until tomorrow –
Love this card and your motto about “just go for it” to make it. I love the sentiment from Beautiful You. Hope you feel well soon. As busy as you are, you don’t have time to be sick!! Take care.
Well…I am feeling better but I will say that I am NOT a good candidate to be down! I do love this stamp set because when you have several small images like this…it just COMES TOGETHER! This one will be staying on Randall lane…..for several reasons – it is photopolymer, I love the fonts, and the stamps….LOVE IT!
