It's the BIG day before the BIG DAY….the smells from my kitchen are getting me super excited! Isn't it just amazing how we all seem to enjoy the process of cooking….preparing the feast to just sit there afterward and feel like you are going to POP! Sounds familiar?
I have a confession….I truly did not realize that this stamp set was still available! I am guilty – if it is not in the catalog, it is quickly "Out of sight….out of mind"! This great stamp set is 20% off and I think that it is super special. I can remember one of the best tips that Mary Fish gave me when I first started was….when in doubt between stamp sets….buy the sentiment one!
This is called Lovely Amazing You and it is funny….Mary blogged about it on Monday….I guess we were on the same page in thinking that it is a stellar stamp set!It is 20% off this week and I just had to share it with you! (I loved it so much, I used it as a Stamp of the Month Kit last Spring)
I want you to HANG ON with me and then I do hope that you give this card layout a try – it is one of my FAVORITE layouts as it is different and super fun. This also is a great way to use up scraps so here you go – a quick rundown of tips and tricks and I hope that you will try it! (let me know if you do – I love to see your work)
- The overall size of this card is a 4 1/2" square Card
- The BEST way to make you look like a pro is to take a piece of 4" X 4" paper and then POP out whatever colors and prints etc with the 1" square punch….and start adhering them to the upper left corner using the green glue.
I like to go straight across on a row and then do the next row etc….this way the whole piece will be covered up and your friends are going to think you are so darn talented (well, you ARE) and then you can mat this to another piece of paper a bit larger, 4 1/4" square!
- After I adhere all of the squares, I go to town with the gel pen….this makes a HUGE difference and it is just plain fun! Did you notice that I tool the Rose Red pen and colored in some of the hearts – FUN!
- The sentiment was stamped on a scrap piece of paper and then matted to coordinate with the color scheme for the day!
- Let's talk about punches…..you know that I adore our punches and I firmly believe that SU's are the best on the market! This Sweetheart Punch is 50% off this week making it just $8.00 – you know what I would say….GET IT – it is a classic and the shape of the heart is so fun and classic!
- To finish a custom envelope was in the cards today….I laugh at myself as when that first came out I fought it tooth and nail as I thought that I would never "get it" – it is soooo darn easy and even if you missed it on the deals Monday….it is just $20.00 and well worth every penny!
Well do you think that you will try it? I sure hope so as it is a ton of fun! Below is another card I did with this same sentiment several months ago….Is is amazing the difference between the 2….very different styles but both super classic!
I know that there have been several of you really…..really questioning about getting a starter kit….this is my take on it – First why not as you really have nothing to lose, no obligations to stay or do anything….just think of it as you are going to a store and getting $26.00 worth of free product and it ships for free – (That is another $12.50 off) $26.00 + $12.50 = a savings of $38.50!
If there is a bunch that you like that is on sale…it is the best bang for your buck….

Happy Monday and WOOT-WOOT….Let the SALE begin!
I am in total denial and disbelief that it is Turkey Day on Thursday but I will be ready……one by one the kids will be rolling in and you know, you need to have their favorites….I am super excited to have hustle and bustle with having the house full!
Speaking of FULL….I have some GREAT posts for you this week! After making Santa's yesterday, I did all of my posts for the week so I can enjoy time with the kids! Truth be told, my work area is right outside of Hannah's bedroom so I thought if I could get all of the designing completed…I can type away while having coffee….that sound great to me!

My post this week are going to feature many of the products that are in the special sale this week…I love to be able to shop at home – the holidays are for family and friends…..I just simply cannot deal with traffic and crowds – I much prefer to be at home with a cup of coffee and my computer shopping while the kids are asleep!
Lets get going….in todays time, a gift card and a good old fashion check WORKS….so here is a super fun and easy way to "get the job done" I have shared with you before that I use to frown about giving gift cards etc….but it is the best way to make someone be able to get what THEY want and save you a lot of stress with the crowds….
I am going to be sharing lots of pictures for you and minimal text….this is a busy week for all of us – always remember, email me if you need more specifics!
To make this...
- a 7" square piece of paper and scored at 1 1/4" and 4 1/4"
- Fold on score lines and use the Tear and Tape to secure the sides. (before you seal the sides up, use the 1" punch to punch out a half circle – makes it much easier to see the goodie!
- The belly band is 7" X 1 1/4" and also 7" X 3/4" (Make sure that you do not make it too tight….you need some wiggle room to slide it on and off!_
- The FABULOUS bow tie is from the Bow Builder Punch which is 50% off = just $9.00 and the paper I used was from the Merry Moments paper stack – LOVE IT!
- Glue dots are the best to pull this together. Check out the Bakers Twine….Whenever this is on sale…I ALWAYS stock up – it is already such a minimal cost but at 50% off….GO FOR IT – I would get it in all colors possible!
- The sentiment is from the Flurry of Wishes Stamp Set…This IS being carried over and it is a bundle and YES - I would get it as a bundle! Great product! Snowflakes are always fun to work with and the sentiments are SUPER!

Does this make you take a deep breathe and smile? I sure did when I opened up this beauty! The colors are gorgeous …darn I wish that I could color/shade like this! This stamp set and punch IS carrying over and you are going to want to make sure that you have this punch for a super fun new stamp set in the new catalog.
Alene did just a beautiful job with this card and I hope that she will leave us a detailed comment on the colors/shading she did with this beauty! The little “centers” of the poinsettias are sooooo realistic – love it!
Oh Georgette….she always makes such fun cards and here is another one that is a smile maker! I would have never thought to have used this embossing folder and color for a Holiday Card but isn’t this super fun? The snowy slopes are festive and when you break this down, it is super clean and simple! FUN…SIMPLE…DONE!
Rosanne is another super talented stamper and I am over the moon with the “white” and cleanness of this card! What POPS to me is the embossing folder and then the itty bit of bling in the center of the snowflake. I just had to share with you the inside of this beauty as I never think to use the sentiment dies in the inside of the card….how about you? What a great statement!
O.k.- hold onto your hats (or coffee) – this is a super fun card and you bet that I am going to look up how to make this! Tonolia was super sweet to share with me where she learned this technique. Naturally I love the fact that it is a FUN and DIFFERENT card but another thing is that it folds flat and will go in one of our regular envelopes?!?! That is always a plus!
Here comes a “Susan Card” – simple, clean, duplicable and fast! I loved how Terry used the reverse side of my hands down all time favorite embossing folder! Another element that I “turned the tide on” is the stapler that Stampin’ Up! sells….it’s a keeper as the staples are so small and the arm of it really goes into a card nicely! This would be a great card to mass-produce!
Here is a fabulous card from the last of the “3 Stamp-a-teers” Sharon is a sweetheart – I feel like I am the 4th one in this group of ladies and it would be a dream to be together for a weekend and have fun!
Sharon shows us how using DSP and lots of simple shapes creates a WOW effect and also I love the orientation of this card . The 3 accents are a perfect balance and again, here is another example of this fun Holiday DSP Stack – it’s a keeper!
Lastly a Holiday card from special Ellen. This is just beautiful and whenever John brings the mail in and there is a Ellen card, I smile. This card is both "merry and bright" and the accents of the snowflakes are the PERFECT fun touch for this cheery card! This is a great example of how our framelits can be "center stage" to be a perfect backdrop for a stamp!

I think that it is super fun to see everyone’s ideas and hopefully it will get you in the mood for making gifts of art from your heart! Nothing beats a handmade anything…..never….EVER!
James held the fort down while we were out of town and I think he was a bit pooped from the dogs….trust me, when it rains there are always stacks of towels by the doors to wipe off 28 paws! For me they come in one at a time and stand on a towel and let me clean their feet, for him – he said it was mayhem!
