O.k. folks…the weekend must have been super busy with you dedicated stampers trying to make the Post It Notes Blog Posting that I showed last Sunday….please click here to see the original post! They are super cute and super fun to give as they are practical and super easy to make!
The question I received over the weekend by 6 different followers…was – "Did I buy the wrong size…because it's not working?" Well, this post did use the mini ones and everyone was purchasing the 3" X 3" size and asked if I had the dimensions to make it!
Well…I got a little help from my friends!!!
This is what I absolutely adore about Stampin' Up! and blogging…being able to meet so many cyber friends and customers…it's hard to describe but it is a special and fun connection and most of the time we have never met!!!
My help came from Lynn and Jeanie! These are both 2 incredible ladies that have not only a love and passion for creating works of art from their heart but they both are both beautiful ladies that have hearts larger than life!
Lynn reached out to me months ago for some help when she was getting together with some family members and I was thrilled to help her! Through our emails back and forth we have many similarities and it is so fun and uplifting to receive an email from her!
Yesterday when I popped on the computer….Lynn was a life saver as she took the time to figure out the measurements for the 3 X 3 Post it notes….and the beautiful part of it was…she said, –
"I hope this saves you some time figuring it out so you can spend
more time with your family – Furry loved ones included!"
Is that the sweetest or what! Thank you Lynn and I do hope that one day we could meet in person! It's fun working together on projects!
Jeanie has been a friend and fellow crafted for years and I adore her! We have shared many laughs over the years and her talent is endless! (she also has the most incredible craft area one could ever imagine!!!) Jeanie is full of life and is a teacher to little ones…a PERFECT job for her! You know when Jeanie is in the house and her laugh is her trademark and from that laugh is the most beautiful smile you'll see!
After the details on the post, I will share with you some incredible samples of these great ladies works that they shared with me – many thanks to both of you! Huge stampin' hugs!
Please make sure that you refer back to the original post to see how to put this together and let you mind go wild…the sky's the limit!!! Here are the dimensions!
- Cut a piece of paper to 3 1/2" X 12"
- Score at 4", 4 1/2", 6 1/2" and 8 1/2"
- Fold as directed from the original blog
- The DSP and/or mat paper is 3 1/4" X 3"
- Don't overlook using framelits, on the fall themed one, I used the Deco Labels Collection with the Best of Autumn Stamp Set and did you notice, I stamped the sweet sentiment of "just for you" from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set!

- The colors I used for the water-coloring are: Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Soft Suede and Old Olive. I also used 2 Regal Candy Dots for fun!
- The other one I did as a sample for you today is using the fun and whimsical Stamp Set, Giggle Greetings…it is funny or what! I did use watercolor paper as I am passionate about using this paper when you use the Aqua Painters!

- The colors I used to do the water-coloring with the Aqua Painters are: Baked Brown Sugar, Sahara Sand, Rose Red and Primrose Petals.
These are super great quick goodies to whip up! Here are a couple of different angles so you can get a great idea how they look when they are closed!
Please feel free to email me if you have any questions! I hope that you have enjoyed seeing the 3 X 3 version!

I know it seems like there are a lot of colors to be pulling out etc…but it really does go fast and when I do these….I make many at a time!
I might not assemble them all, but I will go ahead and do the water coloring…to me – it's relaxing and rewarding to see the end result! Just have fun!
Now….look at these beauties!!! The next 2 pictures are from Lynn and she said that she has been having a blast making these up for family and friends for gifts!
WOOT-WOOT – love the ribbon and snowflake! I am so proud of Lynn as she was not only so kind to help me with the measurements, her passion and excitement I can hear with reading her emails is fabulous! This DOES make my heart happy to know that the excitement was transferred to someone else!
Here are some super great ideas for a 3 X 3 Post it but sing a simple and affordable frame from the dollar store! Flipping the frame over so your "post-its" are also able to be written on without tearing them off is a brilliant idea!
I was totally having "color envy" when I saw the beautiful colors of post it's…then when she said they came from the dollar store….guess where I'm going today! Just love how they color coordinate! When in doubt…ask Jeanie – she is soooo talented and always comes up with the best creations!
The great thing about this way of using a Post It is that when it's gone and you feel like using a different theme…simply pull out the decorative part from the picture frame and "play again" I also love the way she stamped the sentiment on the Post It and the other incredible decorations are classically beautiful!
Whew…..thank you for hanging in there today with this great post of inspiration from Lynn, Jeanie and me! I love what I do and I also love to see what my customers make! Please email me if you have any questions and make sure that you check back as I have "lots brewing"
Have a fabulous Fall Day and until tomorrow…

WOW how great. I think I just found a little Christmas gift to make for a group of crochet friends. I would need about 30. I’ll have to try just one first. Thank you Susan, Lynn & Jeanie for putting this all together. 🙂
Adorable & very affordable gifts! I love this! And I would love to get it as a gift too!
Hi Susan , I receive one Luke that a few years back , but mine I cross ways , and it also looks nice that way …
Thanks for sharing ,
There BEAUITIFUL ,
Hugs frenchie .
We made the little ones for our Make and Take at one of our Team Meetings and everyone loved them. I’m really anxious to make the bigger ones for office gifts this year! Thank you for finding such great helpers to give you the measurements.
They are all so cute and so many varieties! I really love the picture frame idea, a little more stable and easy to use!
Thank you Susan, love your inspiration!
Awww..You are so sweet and YOU have the biggest heart of anyone I know!
These are great Susan, stocking stuffers, teachers, co-workers, neighbors, well you get my point. Going to CASE these:)
Thank you Susan….you are such a sweet, wonderful, caring, sharing person. I’m glad you could make it work.
I absolutely love your fall water coloring post it notes. You are so good at the water coloring. I’ll have find a YouTube video on how to learn to use an aqua painter. I have some; but, haven’t learned yet! Gorgeous paper too!
Jeanie, what an awesome idea. I love your post it notes on the plastic picture frame. How neat! Guess where I am going tomorrow after my Dr.’s appt. The Dollar Store. Thank you too for sharing with us!
Thank you Lynn and Jeanie and for Susan for showing them to us! I was going to do the trial and error method but figured I would get frustrated and shred them! This is wonderful to have the measurements! I love all the examples! Such talent out there! Love your post about your wonderful friends as well. That is so fun about the picture frame ones too. Thanks everyone for sharing with us!
Well, after reading through your post and writing down all the measurements, I started to make one to use as a sample and I’m so frustrated I could spit nails. I know I’m missing something in putting this together but for the life of me can’t figure it out. HELP I even went as far as printing out all the pictures and directions so they would be right in front of me and I’m still not getting it. I printed off the Halloween instructions and it looks like there is five folds rather then just four, is that right?
Okay, Susan, disregard the previous post, I think I got it, at least it is together and looks like the one you did. But I have another question for you, what is the secret to getting the read off the sticky tape without pulling up the sticky part and taking forever to do it. I finally just used the multi glue to glue the sticky note pad in place, it worked.
