Yesterday I shared with you a "Thank You" that I made for John….today's post is my turn! This is what I came up with to write some quick notes of thanks to family and friends that have been so much help to me!
We live in Maryland, and the Maryland State flower is the Black Eyed Susan Flower! Now I know, it is not the exact representation of the flower, but I do think it is super cute!
Now something can be super cute….but to me – it also has to be super quick and easy as we all seem to be short on time! This card to me….produces a BINGO-BANGO effect yet takes minimal time!
Here's the scoop….I hope you CASE away as I think it is a keeper! I am just lovin' the Envelope Punch Board….it makes it sooooo much fun to make odd shape cards!!!
- The finished card size is 3" X 6" in Whisper White!
- The focal floral stamp set used was Flower Shop!!!! LOVE IT! I curled the flowers with a pencil!

- The easy-brezy way to get the clean cut is from the Pansy Punch…so cute! – can you imagine "fussy-cutting" these flowers!?!?
- Adding the centers of the flowers were a simple punch the 1/2" circle punch and then a simple basic pearl was a simple yet elegant touch! Where did the dots come from?
- Simple…an overlooked item in the catalog is the Uni-Ball Signo Gel Pen = White pen…and for $3.95…CLICK HERE now to order! This is a no-brainer as it adds soooo much accent and feel to your projects!

- The sentiment comes from the Lots of Thanks Stamp Set….another "A list" for your stash! Love all the different fonts!

- Envelope time….I am LOVIN' this envelope punch board…the sky is truly the limit and with all of the super fun Designer Series Paper we have……I say "Hello Irene" – what are you waiting for! Today's envelope is from the Modern Medley Designer Series Paper! Soooooo classic!

- Simple can be fun and simple can be effective! It litterally took me no time to stamp….punch…to get all set up to make many of these cards! Think about how much fun it would be to change up and use 3 colors! Because of time, I simply used one color…the super new Crushed Curry!

I hope that you have been inspired today! I was tickled pink…..oops tickled crushed curry with today's card! Odd size cards are fun and with the new Envelope Punch Board, making odd envelopes are a cinch!

Until tomorrow!

Nice one Susan! (But aren’t they all!) This is one of my favorite punch sets. The colors are great. Thanks a bunch. 🙂
Just made this in Rich Razzleberry. Pretty. Can’t get the flower punch to line up exactly right though.
I think you had a tip for this, but I can’t remember when. Do you have a date for it? Also is this a
mailable card size? Or are you just handing out these cards? Love the card, Susan. Good health to
your husband.
HELLO SUSAN, I’M A NEW FOLLOWER OF YOURS & REALLY ADMIRE YOUR LOVELY WORK! I WILL “CASE” LOTS OF YOUR CARDS ;-). THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING. ALSO, BEST WISHES TO HUBBY & YOU FOR HIS QUICK RECOVERY!!!
Another keeper for sure! One of my favorite color combos…this card matches my bedroom. LOL Love the envelope!
OOPS, I FORGOT TO MENTION TO DOROTHY THAT THERE IS A TINY INWARD NOTCH ON ONE PETAL OF THE PANSY PUNCH & STAMP. IF WE MATCH THOSE UP, THE FLOWER COMES OUT NICELY. MY DEMO, DIANNE, SHOWED ME THAT JUST YESTERDAY WHEN WE MADE A PRETTY CARD WITH THAT STAMP & PUNCH SET. HOPE THAT HELPS ;-).
Hi Dorothy! Thanks for the comment and I know that lining up the flowers/stamps can se a HUGE pain……I am at the hospital right now and it would take me a long time to type how I do it…..I was actually going to do that as post one day but in the mean time….go to You Tube and go to Connie Stewarts Channel…..she has an EXCELLENT video that will give you fabulous tips to alleviate your frustration!
Please let me know if it helps you….sorry I cannot give you the exact link – the internet is in and out
hugs, susan
Oh my goodness…thank you Karolyn. I see it now. That should really help. Loving this punch and stamp set. Very versatile.
Very nice card, love the colors. Just got this set and punch before we left on this trip so looking forward to playing with it when we return home. And Karoyln, thanks for the tip on the punch.
Hi Dorothy!!!
I am back home for a bit and found the link to the video that will be very helpful to you!!!
It took me watching it twice to “get it” but you know me….I’m not the quickest!!!!
Adore this stamp set and yes, you can mail it…..you will have to let the postmaster tell you how much as it is an odd size!
hugs, susan
I had heard about that notch but I have not had the punch out of the plastic or the stamp set out of the box. One would have thought I would have printed this tip off and put it with them when I did get brave and try something. But, no I didn’t! Thanks for the tip and the video reference. I WILL print make note of these and put them with the sets! Thanks everyone!
Meanwhile this card is just too cute! Besides I love the colors. I couldn’t believe that was just a black circle with dots from the gel pen. Looks like an elegant button on the screen!
I would think the flower could be adapted to be a wild rose for Iowa in pink!
Hope all is going good and he is recovering well.
This card is so lovely, Susan! I love the layered flowers and bold colors!
Hi Susan: Hope hubby is recovering quickly.
My BFF got me the Flower Shop stamp Set & Pansy punch for my Birthday in July. Love this card – perfect to try out my new gifts. I also have the Modern Medley DSP – so I am on my way to casing this card. Thanks for sharing.
Wow!! Love this card and design plus what a darling matching envelope and finishing touches!!
This card is simply beautiful … Love it!!! I can’t wait to make something equally as cute and fun … thanks for the inspiration.
Susan – another wonderful card! You just have the prettiest cards around! Love the black and yellow together and how brilliant they look together!
Thank you for sharing!
