WOOT-WOOT…it' Friday!!! As promised during the super stamp sale I am showcasing not 1…but 2 of the 25 different stamps that are specially priced just until Monday, the 28th!!!
You might think that this is a challenge…but I simply look at the offerings and say – this can go with that and then PRESTO…a fun card!
It is a great challenge to yourself when you go to create… simply allow yourself to use certain products and then go from there!
I knew that I was going to use these stamp sets, Oh, Hello and Hello, Lovely (say those 2 names fast)….but I wanted to use a color that I have not used lately and also something that could be a masculine card!
The Soho Subway Designer Series Paper spoke to me as I love the Island Indogo color and it would work perfectly with this card!
Here you go…let's get to it! I love the odd size of the card (kind of long and skinny) and having the fold on the left makes it a unique end result!
- The size of the finished card is 3 1/2" X 6" in Very Vanilla
- The Island Indigo piece is 3 3/8" X 5 7/8" (and yes…save paper – pop out some punches!)
- The Very Vanilla top piece is 3 1/8" X 5 5/8"
- Now to the stampin' fun….you must have a ruler (helps a bunch) and the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig...makes this a breeze to whip out!
- I know this sounds like it is a lot of trouble to do…but trust me…if you do this and draw a pencil line you will save your self sooooo much frustration….so just do it!
- On a scrap of paper, simply stamp the sentiment image and again, I take a ruler to draw the exact line all the way around before I take it to the Stampin' trimmer! SOOOO easy!
This is a great stamp set…so versatile….click here and see a card that I made that appears to be super hard but it is one of the easiest cards to do as you simply stamp on scrap paper then use the 1" punch!
- A simple erase of the pencil lines and some Stampin' dimensionals on the back for a quick POP and BAM….it's one great looking card…and soooo easy!
- I made the envelope with the Envelope Punch Board …so easy to just look at the chart – find the size of card you have – BAM…it will tell you how big of a piece you will need to cut – punch-score-fold-adhere-DONE!!!
- I often get asked about how do you line an envelope with the Envelope Punch Board…easy – watch my wonderful upline, Mary Fish's video….click here and you will see how easy it is to do!!! You will do every envelope this way!
It has turned very brisk here on the East Coast and I am loving it! The only thing is…we know what's around the corner! Hopefully you have some fun Fall plans for the weekend!
Many thanks to all of you that continue to ask and email me about how John is doing….he is doing great, getting stronger each day and is now doing physical therapy 3 X's a week!
Don't forget about the adhesive bundle that can be yours with order any of the 25% Anniversary Stamps!!! We all need, love and use adhesives so I thought this would be something practical for everyone!'
Have a great day…please spread the word about Simple Stampin'…we all know word of mouth is the best advertisement we can give!
You're gonna love tomorrow's card…it feels and looks like fall!
Until tomorrow!
Good Morning Susan, I love how you make an unnoticed stamp set come to life. Love the lines in this one and the envelope liner. 🙂
Great minds think alike! I used the same arrows in my card today! I love love your card though and will be making it soon! Thanks for your constant motivation and inspiration! If you want to see my card: http://stampininthesun77.blogspot.com/2013/10/friday-favorites-oh-hello-for-stylin.html?m=1
Another fun idea! Of course, another set of mine that I thought I had to have and haven’t inked up – the one with the chevrons. That envelope is really cool! Boy, you can tell I am tired, I can’t think of anything clever to say! So, have a great weekend Susan!
Susan, great tip on taking just an extra few seconds to draw the lines around a stamped image so it can be cut straight. I waste lots of time (and card stock) thinking I can just eyeball it. Thanks for sharing. I really enjoy your blog.
