O.k. – I admit… as I was posting for the day I had to pull the calendar out and say…really – am I correct…is it just 9 quick weeks until Christmas? YEP!!! Yikes – but do not stress…if you want to make some holiday cards you can make them in a fun and simple way…just like today's card!
I can hardly keep up with all of the "happenings" that have been going on with Stampin' Up! these past couple of weeks but yesterday was the trump card with the unveiling of the 25 Stamp Sets that are available only until October 28th for 25% off in honor of their 25th anniversary!
Please click here to see them and then remember that you can go to the search button on the right upper corner of my blog and type in the stamp set and then you can view cards and projects I might have made using that specific set!
When I heard they were going to be doing this, I first thought that they would possibly pick stamp sets that might not be the best sellers in the catalog but once again, Stampin' Up! did not let us down…these 25 sets are SUPER DUPER sets and honestly I must confess…I already have most of them but I do plan to take advantage of this opportunity for some Holiday gifts for friends and family that stamp!
I thought it would be fun to showcase a Stamp Set everyday during this week of sale of a stamp that is included! Today being Wednesday …it is the day that I highlight a Holiday Card…now isn't this a super simple yet WOW card!
Remember…to me – less is best!
Let's get to the in's and out's of todays card as after…I have even more exciting new product to share with you!
True to form in how I design most of my cards…I chose the liner that I wanted to use for the envelope…the stamp set that I wanted to showcase…and BAM…I sat down and said…"Time to create"!!!
- The Card size ia a 5" Square…you know I adore odd sizes and it is just 2nd nature to me now with the Envelope Punch Board…for just $19.95 you can make over 66 sizes of envelopes – I say a big WOOT-WOOT!!!

(If you are new to my blog or also new to Stampin'…please click here and watch the short video on this gem of a product – I am still amazed at how simple it is…LOVE IT!!!!)
- Working in…the Cherry Cobbler piece is a 4 1/2" square (and YES,I did use the "inside" of the square to cut shapes out as I knew it was going to be covered!!! – love saving paper!!!)
- Wanting to "play" up the theme of the chevron liner I thought a white square – 4 1/4" …ran throguh with the help of my main man, Mr. Big Shot and the Chevron Embossing Folder was the perfect texture!

- The next layer in is Cherry Cobbler in a 3 3/8" square and again…I used the inside to save paper and then the White "JOY" piece is a 3 1/4" square!
- Pulling out a ruler I drew a faint line to help me keep my letters straight! I always stamp the center first and then work out! The Stamp Set is the Morning Post Alphabet Stamp Set and as you can see…it makes a bold and classic statement!

(I think that this stamp set has been overlooked by many as they shy away as it is pricy…but now that it is 25% off and you can see how this would be fantastic for a simple monogram…short words…etc…it a keeper at $26.21)
- You can see that I stamped "JOY" a bit higher to allow room for the Ribbon! Being that I am "Bow challenged" a simple "Susan knot" did the trick – clean, crisp and classic! The ribbon is my favorite go to Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding Ribbon – (wish that had every color in this ribbon!!!)
- A couple of Stampin Dimensionals of the back of this piece and BINGO-BANGO….done!
- Envelope time…as I said before easy-peasy wit the Envelope Punch Board and then a simple liner to the outside flap is all that it needed! Now how about that fun liner…LOVE IT and it is from the Seasons of Style Designer Series Paper…the colors are all super rich!

This card brings JOY just to look at it! Beautiful CAS card!
Hi Susan, I’m lovin’ that stamp set. I MUST sit down and see what other ones are on sale. I love your card so much. (I don’t like we only have nine weeks to Christmas.) Thanks a bunch. 🙂
Nice Susan, my kind of card, clean and simple:)
Oh boy, oh boy, what JOY this brings! I love this card with the rich cherry cobbler! That fun background embossing and the ribbon coupled with the white is such a wonderful contrast! Plus the crumb cake with the cherry cobbler is so pretty too. In other words, I love this! How did I miss this set on the sale? I better go back and check out that list again! I have always liked this set but thought it was a bit pricey for me. How in the world with all your working, caregiving, and extra activities do you find time to come up with these amazing cards and other cool stuff? You are totally putting me to shame!
