I am totally mixed with over loading you with Christmas ideas but then again I think that we are all going to be in a tailspin with having a shorter time between Thanksgiving and Christmas!
Today’s card was an inspiration I received from Pinterest and I loved the concept of using a negative for a focal point to a card!
Can you say EASY-PEASY!!! This is a card that truly uses minimal products and also to me at least, produces a classic WOW factor!
Let’s go!
- Using an all time favorite of mine, the Naturals White Card Stock making a vertical card, scoring it at the 5 ½” mark! I cut another piece at 4” X 5 ¼” to do a pop (this is not necessary but to me the layering is what gives this simple card a true and simple punch!)
- Pulling out my main Croppin’ Man, Mr. Big Shot, I used the Circle Framelits to make the focal part of the card! (This was the 4th from the smallest) THIS IS ON SALE this week for just $20.21~
- Behind the circle I put a piece of Seasons of Style Designer Series Paper to make the ornament!

- The rest is like “peanut butter and jelly” – taking a piece of Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine and using the mini glue dots…BAM! I next took another piece of the twine and made a bow and then added a regal candy dot in Cherry Cobbler!

- The sentiment is short and sweet and it is a “Hostess Stamp Set” called Warmth and Wonder – this stamp set is only available when you are a hostess and it is just $10.00! I did use the stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement, after all – why would you go to the trouble in making a card, only to have the sentiment crooked!

- Taking this whole piece and using stampin’ dimensionals all over…. this simple card comes to life!
- Now to the envelope, making a matching envelope is a cinch with the envelope punch board! I love that I can use this paper to make my own envelope and then using the Seasons of Style Designer Series Paper to make a matching liner is the perfect finale to my card!
Well, what do you think? Isn’t this the sweetest card! I know that this simple card would warm anyone’s heart!
Please remember, you do not have to be “fussy” to get the message across! Reality is, we are all short of time and sometimes we need to find a simple yet classic style to get the job done!
Let’s touch on the “hostess thing”…do you feel that because I live in Maryland that you would not be able to have a function with me?
THAT IS NOT TRUE!
Please email me and I will be happy to get you a hostess code and you can collect orders from your family and friends and you will have a successful event and be able to order this “keeper” of a hostess stamp set!
Please email me if you are interested in being in an “on line” Stamp Club! This way, you can be a hostess once a year or twice a year depending if I get 6 or 12 people and then I will send you a PDF with ideas “just for you” on that given month!
Taking turns on who is hostess, you will be able to reap the benefits for being part of the Club!
The end of the year means the beginning for new starts…
I am super excited to be able to offer to my blog more benefits and opportunities for you! In a million years, I would have never imagined that I would be blogging and I would be lovin’ what I do sooooo much!
In this season of Thanksgiving, I thank YOU for your support and growth of my Stampin’ Up! fun!
I truly would love for YOU to hop on the PALS train and be part of this fun! Please email me and I will be happy to call you and chat about how fun it is and also answer any questions you might have!
Have a great day, make lots of memories if you have family still at you home….and
Until tomorrow!

This is a very elegant simple card! I think these type of cards are great to see to know you don’t have to take a lot of time to come up with a very elegant card! Love it! Thanks for all the great ideas you share and with all the dimensions, too!

Susan this card is so sweet and simple but so elegant. You did a great job with the card and the envelope. You are so talented. Yes it is difficult we have such a short time between now and Christamas.
Have a wonderful day, Hugs, Ellen Hinds
I really like white at Christmas. It is just so crisp and clean, like snow. Thanks for using it.
