Mrs. Eddy is going to love this super cute box filled with chocolates but more importantly she is going to be "over the top happy" opening up her 85 Birthday cards in honor of her 85th Birthday!
Hopefully you are popping back from yesterday's post….and if not – click here and today will make sense to you!
This was yesterday's card and after I cut out the Top Note Die piece I had an "Ah-ha" moment and knew that this would be a fun gift for the birthday gal!
Before we go further….a quick question for you!?!?
When you make a card or project – do you make just 1 or do you do 2?
I usually do 2 and if I really like it – I'll do more (just in case I need a quick card)…
I knew that I was going to make Mrs. Eddy a 3-D goodie with this stamp set as it is her….she loves convertibles….love gifts and giving to others and when I make these boxes I always make 2….why? – Easy-peasy as a sheet of paper makes (2) of the box part of this project!
I usually try to use up scraps and odd sheets of paper but I was out of big pieces of scraps in Melon Mambo and I decided to cut it out a new fresh sheet and cut it into quarters….well when I did it…and cut the Top Note out….I thought…this piece is perfect for a frame and this is how I came up with the outside part for her "cake" card!

Can you see that I took the frame…put it on top of the white card stock…did a quick trace with a pencil of the outline and the card came to life! A pencil and a ruler are 2 peanut butter and jelly tools for card making!
Now to the box! I make these ALL THE TIME and not only are they fun to make…they are easy and they will clearly put a smile on any ones face!
Please click here and see a post that I did before showing you exactly how to make it!
Please email me if you need any help or have questions….these are amazing and so simple! I truly LOVE being able to use good old Avery Labels to decorate the chocolates!
The stamp set is the Road to Happiness Stamp Set and it is just pure fun! You can switch our whatever you want in your "back seat" and it will bring a smile to your face!

I always use the water color paper when I use the Aqua Painters and the colors of ink for this fun project are: Melon Mambo,Blushing Bride and So Saffron!
After cutting out the Top Note Die Cut with the Water Color Paper…I simply cut at the perforated lines to make it pop against the Melon Mambo!
I added a bit of bling with the Brights Candy Dots as well as with the Melon Mambo Ribbon that added the extra special touch for my 85 year old friend!
When you see this box of love…are you smiling?
I hope that you pop back to my original post and then put your thinking cap on and make some of these gems!
What candy do I use….nuggets! These are not only super yummy – they come in sooooo many flavors and the labels make it soooo easy….
I am gearing up for Christmas as these make a GREAT HIDING PLACE for a gift card! Who in the heck would not love a box of chocolates to find a gift card at the bottom!!!!
Please let me know what you think of today's fun! Please keep the wonderful Mrs. Eddy in your thoughts as she truly is one of a kind and a true joy!
Please pop back tomorrow as I have a super easy-peasy card that I think is bingo-bango!!!!
This coming week is my monthly Breast Cancer Card making evening and tomorrow's post is a card we will be making…..a total fun and "feel good" evening!
Enjoy the day and until tomorrow!!!!

This is so cute! She will love it!
Love the cards as I’m sure Mrs. Eddy will too. I usually make 2 cards at a time like you…just in case.
Thanks for the feedback – the way I look at it – while you have the stuff out…go head and make 2!!!!
Love it! I like that there is so much we can do with the SU products. I never made my own boxes before and now I can’t stop making them for gift cards, jewelry, etc. Love the way it makes a nice gift set! Happy Birthday to Connie’s mom!
Love the card and box. TFS! I do have a question…how do you cut the top TOP NOTE so neatly. Mine always looks so rough around the edges. I’ve tried sanding….still rough. Thanks for any suggestions.
I can’t wait for an occasion to try this box. It looks great! The colors are so up and happy for a birthday too. 🙂
This is absolutely adorable! I’ve just discovered your blog about a month ago and I love all your projects! You do a great job of explaining all of your steps. Thanks for your time & effort.
Yes, this is FUN! Since she loves convertibles – how could you not use this set? Perfect fit! The finishing with the bow and the candy dots just completed the look! Super fantastic job! Will you get to give her this in person to see her eyes light up?
Nancy Farrell needs to make one – just because she can and for herself!
Sometimes I make 2 but not always. I guess it just depends on the time. Yes, there has been times when I wished I had made a duplicate or at least xeroxed it!
Thanks for happy weekend treat! Loving my own treats too (happy wink! and out of Henry’s reach too!)
This is adoreable and makes my creative juices boil with ideas. Great idea, Susan, for your friend, I’m sure she will be ticked with this:)
Hi Barb and thanks for the comment and question!
The best advise I can give you is make sure that you are using great scissors! I always use the paper snips when doing tasks like this as I know they are super sharp! The other thing is…cut from the back of your scissors…not the tips and turn the paper, not your hand! Hope this helps!
Awe….thanks Donna! I am glad you enjoy it and I do hope that you continue to pop back and be inspired!
I wish I could be there to see her face, but unfortunately not….her daughter will send me a picture and I will share it as she is a total hoot of a person!!!
Soooo glad that you liked your goodies…I wish that we could get together and craft! No doubt we would have fun!!!
How’s Henry!?!?
Love, love, love this little box. But, how do you make the box part? Is there a video or written tutorial for directions? I would love to make some of these sweet things.
Hi Pat and thanks for the comment! Go up to and click on 3 -D projects and you will see the “how to’s” in the posting for a box I made similar with leaves…..if you click in this body of the post you will find the link! Have fn!
Hi Susan! Just in case you have no one to give the 2nd one to I will be glad to take it off your hands! (My birthday is Nov. 21st LOL!) It is adorable!! I need to try this! I love your tutorials and your awesome imagination!! Thank you for sharing this with us everyday!
