This is such an exciting week and I am going to call this "Simple Susan" week as here is another super cute, clean and fast card to whip up! Time is ALWAYS a issue with most of us…so this week I am showcasing cards that are just Clean and Simple!
Now….drumroll….drumroll……(remember I will be offerning some blog candy at the end)
Welcome to the party…this is Stampin' Ups! yearly party called Sale-a-bration that is the best reason to do the "happy dance" as it sarts today and goes thru until March 31st!!!

For every $50.00 you spend (before tax and shipping) you will be able to pick a FREE Sale-A-Bration product and as you can see in this post…there are some real keepers…actually I think they ALL are keepers and I am super excited with how the catalog looks!

This catalog (well flyer type) is laid out similar to the Occasions Catalog…the front section gives you ideas and also shares with you "bundles" for that showcased project and then the back section shows you all of the FREEBIES!!!! Click here to see the catalog and if you would like me to mail you one, please email me and I will be happy to do so! (seeing it on-line is great but having it in your hands is wonderful)
Click on the picture of the catalog and grab a cup of coffee!!!
Let's get to the card as I do not think you would be happy if I didn't share with you the in's and out's of why you are here….inspiration!!!!
Remember – THINK OF THE LAYOUT and how you can change out the stamp and colors….this is so quick! It really is so easy, you do not need me but here you go!
- The card size is my go-to must have – Notecards & Envelopes….wowzers – you get (20) cards and envelopes for $5.95! LOVE IT…sooooo easy!
- I knew that I wanted to use this adorable alligator…he is from the FREEBIES that you could pick and it is called See You Later…isn't this a great set of stamps!
- The Garden Green Paper is cut at 3 1/4" X 4 3/4" and I ran it through my big shot with the Deco Labels Framelits! Look at the picture below and you will see a simple and fast trick to help with placement!
- Let's get back to the stamp! This set comes in both Wood or Clear mount and you choose which one you like…cause' it is FREE! I "masked" the lower sentiment as I did not want to use it today…ink up the stamp well….simply pull off the mask and PRESTO…too darn cute!
- To the green piece…A simple touch of using the white pen (for $3.95 – how can you go wrong)and stitching around the image is fast and effective…I also place a white candy dot on either side….loves those little dots!
- Now erase your lines and pull out the stampin' dimensionals! Use LOTS of them…as you really want the impact of it elevated. (I like to use the long edges left on the sheet for this type of project)
You know what is next! ENVELOPE TIME….Using the Envelope Liner Framelits and the Regals Designer Series Paper

You know what I am going to say about these Papers…this is a perfect example of WHY they work – My card is simple, there is not a patterned DSP that I liked for this as I wanted to to be simple and fun.
When this happens, I know that I can go to the primary color in my card (Garden Green = Regals Collection) and BAM – perfect everytime!
As the cartoon goes….THAT'S ALL FOLKS!
Easy… right! Cute… right! Doable… right?
No, that's NOT all FOLKS as I promised some BLOG CANDY…here you go!
I know that I could give you some product etc….but it seems that you like to get some of the goodies I made - so here you go…6 projects (4 cards and envelopes and 2 adorable monsters)
Leave me a comment and let me know what your favorite
Stampin' Up! Color of Paper is and your favorite adhesive is!
There are so many options on how you can get to a magic amount of $50.00 and earn a FREEBIE…remember, the sale-a-bration catalog shares with you "bundles" – (click here to see) products that make it SUPER EASY to order that get you to that point….(smart, very smart) BUT….
I know that many of you have lots of the basics in these bundles…how about this for a quick $50.00 that is so practical!

Sale-A-Bration, so much fun! Thanks Stampin’ Up. My favorite color right now is Pistachio Pudding because it is so fresh and clean and can be used for Spring and Easter which is hopefully coming soon. My current favorite adhesive is the Tombow liquid adhesive because it so much more economical than some of the others and my latest favorite tool is the envelope punch board because it is just amazing.
Good morning Dorothy!!!! you are the early bird!!!At 1st – the Pistachio Pudding was not up there on the tops…but I TOTALLY agree with you now – it truly goes with so many other colors! Good luck!
Hi Susan, I’m getting like Tombo Glue but love snail. Night of Navy is my favorite color. It makes all others stand out. Have a great day and stay warm. 🙂
I love the crumb cake/kraft look. Its like black & goes with everything. Tombow is my go to adhesive esp with embossed items. Thanks for your creative inspiration 😉
I love the new In Colors this year. They are all so crisp and cheery. My adhesive use to be snail but I am moving more and more to the liquid Tombow. I am always running out of snail and the Tombow seems to last forever with great holding power and wiggle room. Thanks for sharing.
My new favorite color is Marina mist. It seems to go with so many other colors. And, my favorite adhesive is still snail probably b/c the only time that I bought Tombo glue I didn’t open it correctly and it got all over the place and then wouldn’t come out the small hole. Got frustrated.
Susan,
Love that cute little note card.
Can’t wait to see the video on the new embossing machine.
Your card is, as usual, fun and happy (even if it is a “miss you” card).
I think Soft Suede must be my favorite color. I end up using it with everything! I like Bermuda Bay a lot, too. As for adhesive, I started out using snail, as Debra, above mentioned she did, but I have started using Tombow more since last summer (for one project I did, however, the best adhesive proved to be plain, old Elmer’s glue over Tombow, which surprised me!).
I’m looking forward to getting some of the new in colors and playing with them, though, so my favorite might change.
Have a great day! Stay safe if you are in the path of that east coast snowstorm!
Love your sight Susan!!! I watch it daily for inspiration. I love your card using the Vivid Vases stamp set … this was not one I was going to order (still listening to your encouragement on the water coloring), but it was quickly added to my wish list after seeing your card. Keep inspiring us all!!!
Thanks for the chance to win! My favorite color paper is Melon Mambo and my favorite adhesive is SNAIL.
I love the Island Indigo and Cuban Craze colors of paper! Crushed Curry and Rich Razzleberry are also favorites! Snail Adhesive is also awesome. Thanks for the chance to win!
I love all of the samples from your goodies. Nothing beats having to hold and see those wonderful treats in person. Looks like I will having a fun time deciding what Sale A Bration items I must have so I know how much I will spend. Can’t wait.
Oh and my favorite paper and adhesive, it’s gotta be baked brown and stampin’ dimensional. I used a variety of colors as my main image but always use the baked brown paper as my backing. I do a lot popping up cards so the stampin’ dimensional is my quick and easy answer to bring out the image.
My favorite adhesive is snail and I like cherry cobbler and bermuda bay. Thanks for the chance to win.
Thanks for all your inspiration. I really like the new Watercolor DSP in the new catalogue and my favorite adhesive is stampin dimensionals (your vitamins!).
I’m excited for sale-a-bration, too! My favorite paper color is calypso coral and my favorite adhesive is SU’s snail.
Thank you so much for your fantastic “clean and simple” ideas – I love them! Since we are have such a “terrific” winter with double digit wind chill temperatures (again) I am into the bright spring colors – Calypso Coral is my bright spot right now. Hopefully when spring does finally get here (come on ground hog) I think I will go to softer shades. I use snail adhesive most of the time. It will be real easy to get a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration time!!
My new favorite paper color is Crisp Cantaloupe! It seems to go with everything and is a fresh springy color!! And my favorite adhesive is the red sticky strip! That stuff will hold ANYTHING together!!
My favorite color Island Indigo and Tombow
So excited for Sale-A-Bration again this year! My favorite SU color is Cherry Cobbler. It’s the best red for Christmas cards! And my favorite adhesive is snail. It so easy to use. But I plan to soon try the Tombow liquid glue, as I understand it is also quite strong. If dimensionals are considered adhesive, I also love them. They have just the right height of dimension for card making.
Lately my colors of choice is the new in colors especially with the sweet shorbet paper in the sale a bration. I really like the two way glue pen….easy for attaching smallness and glitter in a small area.
So excited that SAB is finally here! Been going over & over my catalog. So hard to choose a favorite color. For neutrals, my go to color is Crumb Cake. It just goes with everything & gives everything a very homey feel. I wasn’t sure about the new in colors, but they have really grown on me & see myself using them more & more, especially with the SAB dsp. Pool party & real red are two of my favorite go to colors, but I also love Summer Starfruit. Really hate to see that one go. The snail is my favorite adhesive, but in a bind, I use the glue dots. Based on the comments above, I’m going to try the tombow.
Adorable card. I so like your hand stitching and dots. I am in love with the new Watercolor DSP. So many opportunities here. My FAVE adhesive is the Tombow Multipurpose Glue. Thanks for sharing with us! Pssst: I love your happy dance alligator too!
Cute card. Will have to CASE it. My favorite color is blue. I loved Not Quite Navy, which you can’t get anymore, but I did stock up on it. My second color is Real Red because it is a true red, which is hard to find. My go to adhesive is My ATG gun and second is the Tombow tape runner. Thanks for sharing.
Choosing a favorite color is not easy with all the great SU colors; but currently I am really enjoying Elegant Eggplant. I love my snail adhesive, but am anxious, thanks to your suggestion, to try the Tombow liquid. Your daily posts are such a delight; SuzannI love your clean, simple, and wonderful cards…so inspiring.
I started using Tombow glue after seeing you use it. I like it and use snail sometimes too. My favorite color remains Old Olive and I love it with Night of Navy. Thanks for all your inspirations.
My dad used to say See you later alligator when I would go to bed and add “With a smile crocodile” which I just remembered! Then I would get give him a pout because of my favorite story – the Saggy Baggy Elephant who meets up with a gator or a croc! Cute card though.
Favorite color – well it just depends. I love the Real Red and Cherry Cobbler but I still love Midnight Muse and Gumball Green together. Yet there is crumb cake which I like to use for cardstock. I guess it just all depends on what I am making for my favorite color. Heck, Basic Gray is a real favorite too or Very Vanilla for that matter! Then, there is that Elegant Eggplant and I used to hate purple! I use a lot of Old Olive too. We need a good forest green though. Sorry, to ramble.
Adhesive – well I sure can make a mess with the liquid Tombow stuff at times but I do like it. But, I think my red sticky tape would have to be my favorite because I love making little treat boxes and such.
Hello ~ thanks for another super card. I am using a lot of Crisp Cantaloupe color – so fresh and can be used for all occasions. How did I live before snail?!?
I like Sticky Strip, because it holds so well. Right now, my favorite color is Pink Pirouette.
my new favorite adhesive is the TOMBOW Glue and my favorite color is SMOKY SLATE its the perfect neutral color to use with Stampin Up Subtles.
I think we (teen daughter & I) use Melon Mambo most…tend to like the brighter colors (tempting turquois, island indigo, tangerine tango, gumball green to mention a few!) Would you sometime show how you use the tombow to make a normal card…I would’ve thought it would take too long to dry, but wonder w/ all the positive comments on it. Love to see your posts each day!!!
I love your card, so quick, simple, and clean but also versatile and fun! I have been using the Tombow a lot more and really like it. Wow as far as favorite color right now that is really tough…..I like wild wasabi and tangerine tango, I love the colors that go with the new retro fresh DSP. Thank you for the chance to win some of your goodies!
My favorite color?? There are so many that I’m addicted to but I’d have to say Cherry Cobbler is probably the color I’m drawn to the most. My favorite adhesive is the Snail. Thanks for sharing your wonderful talent!
Susan
I think my favorite color of paper is crumb cake or cherry cobbler.
My favorite adhesive is becoming the tombow. Thank you for introducing this wonderful adhesive. Your blog and samples are amazing.
Thank you for all you do and working full time as well. I also hope your husband is recovering well.
Cindy
Loving Cherry Cobbler – for Christmas and Valentine’s Day. I am a snail user but I did order the Tombow and want to give it a try. Your daily posts are fabulous. thanks so much for your inspiration and joyful disposition. I look forward to both everyday!
So like the card today, as with all of your ideas. I like the Tombow right now, it is a user friendly glue and dries fairly quick.
My favorite color would be Soft Sky, as it reminds me of the sky on a clear spring day. Loving the Watercolor DSP also.
Have a joy filled day.
I so love your alligator card. Your stitching is perfect and when you use your famous dots it makes your cards so special. My favorite color right now is Island Indigo. My favorite adhesive used to be snail, Tombow is taking over since reading your blog, love the wiggle room.
My favorite adhesive is the Tombow glue and my favorite paper color is Tempting Turquoise. It is super tough to choose a favorite paper color, because there are so many gorgeous colors to use on my projects!!
Any shade of purple is my favorite. My favorite glue is the liquid Tombow or my ATG gun. Thanks for the chance to win. I just love visiting your blog.
Stampin Up has so many wonderful colors to choose from. It is hard to pick just one. I will have to go with the rich regal color group. This is my go to group of colors. I still like to use the snail adhesive. Thanks for all of your wonderful and creative ideas!
Hi Susan~ Love your Alligator card- What a great, simple idea!!! My favorite color at the moment is still cantaloupe, because it goes so well with Venetian Romance DSP. I can’t stop making cards with this combo! Coming up fast, though, are the new Watercolor Wonder papers and those colors. My favorite adhesive is Tombo because it’s so versatile, but I use a lot of dimensionals and glue dots, too. Thanks for the chance to win what you’ve made. Your work is beautiful!
Hi Susan,
I love the card you made today. My favourite colour of the day is Crisp Cantaloupe and my favourite adhesive is the liquid Tombow. It is easy to adjust and is so good for adhering embossed items.
