I have no idea what happen with the delivery of today's post….computers – you love them and then there are other times…you scratch your head!!! Sorry for the delay…enjoy the day!!!
I told you that I had a bunch of Birthday’s coming up…and I know that St. Patrick’s Day is two weeks from today…(YIKES – can you believe how fast this calendar is rolling the year) It just seems like yesterday that we were doing Christmas Projects!!!
Hannah’s best friend Birthday is on St. Patty’s Day and I wanted to share this with you now in case you send St. Patty’s cards out! This is a super clean and simple layout and you could simply change up the sentiment!
Let’s get to it! It is Monday…it is SNOWING AGAIN…everything is closed (which means I am off work and I can PLAY WITH PAPER AND SCISSORS!!!!!)…again – I am doing the Happy Dance!
- This card is my favorite size…Note card (3 ½” X 5”) Stampin’ Up! makes the envelopes for this size…but you will need to cut the crumb cake yourself!
- As I do often…I cut a smaller size of crumb cake – ¼” smaller – 3 ¼” X 4 ¾” and then I corner rounded all of the edges!!!
TIP ALERT: When I “corner round” I LOVE to use the Envelope Punch Board to round the corners! That “built in” gem works like a charm each and every punch!
- The key element to this card is the Regal Designer Series Paper in the Garden Green Polka Dots! I punched (3) small hearts for the shamrock! Just freehand the stem!

- The other punches used were the 1 ¾” Circle Punch and then the 2 3/8” Scalloped Punch!
- I used the liquid Mono Glue…( LOVE that liquid white gold)…remember – a little goes a LONG way! My famous “dots” around the shamrock and then the “white” dots from the White Gel Pen just adds interest and it is soooo darn tootin’ easy!
- Before you add the shamrock fun to the card…you need to stamp the sentiment from the Four You Stamp Set…but before you do that – you need to go over the paper with the Embossing Buddy (this seems silly to some of you …but as I have said many times before – why would you not take the step of doing this…to get a “clean, crisp impression!

- Because we are heat embossing, you need to use the Versa Mark as this allows the white embossing powder to hold…remember, when you use the heat tool….be patient – let the magic happen but do not hold the tool too close and I like to use a circular motion not to burn the paper and image!
- Because I wanted to “off set” the shamrock image, I wanted to balance the card with the White Taffeta Ribbon! I find it easiest to use glue dots to hold the ribbon in place! Adding a simple knot does it for me!
- The envelope was lined with the help of the Envelope Liner Framelits and the super cute polka dots! Simple…fun and the best part…DONE!
You are going to love the cards I have for you this week….there is one element that will be in each card everyday! Can't wait to see who is the 1st to comment on what that element is!!!
This is a busy week for me but a fun week! I always love the week that we make cards for Breast Cancer…true – it's a lot of work to put together but that is minimal to the joy that fills me heart seeing a bunch of cards ready for a volunteer to write a special note of inspiration to those in treatment!
The house glass has turned over for Sale-A-Bration…it ends March 31st! I will be sending out the paper swatched on Tuesday to those who placed an order! You to can get a Paper Swatch of the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper with an order! Click here….and have fun shopping away!
If you live on the East Coast…stay warm…be safe and craft away today!!!!
Until tomorrow!

A day to play..Hip Hip Hooray! Love the way the white dots around the scallop tie in with the dsp. You rock!!!
As your blog has yet to show up in my email, I went looking for it! I love the hearts punched from the polka-dot paper to make the shamrock!
Did you emboss your “Susan dots” beside the sentiment? I have the Versamark marker, but it didn’t work well when I tried it. I just added reinker to it, so I will have to try it again. I also bought a white gel pen here, but it kind of fades as it dries.
Stay safe and warm!
I love it that you are so happy….bet you will be off tomorrow as well!
Computers…I can see that it did not go off for some reason??? It will not go off until 9 a.m. now!!! I used the white gel pen s the dots…I
go heavy” but you need to make sure that it is good and dry ( I smeared one when I was taking the photo) Cyber across the big pond hugs!
You should know, the computer seems to be messed up, still. Or else my email is goofy. It is after 9AM EST and your post has not yet made its appearance.
Cyberhugs to you, too!
Love the clean and simple take on this card. Stay warm and have fun stamping today 🙂
Very cute card! Four You stamp set is one of my favorites! I use it all the time!
Love the card. I don’t have many hearts what size did you use?
Hey . . . you didn’t come to me until 11:05 a.m. I thought you slept in. We only got about one inch of snow. Can’t believe you are getting/got so much snow. Love those kind of days! Love the card and I too have a special person to give a St. Pat’s Birthday card to. Love this one and will be sure to keep it. 🙂
I used Stampin’ Ups! Small Heart Punch (117193) but you can use the same technique with any heart~ Hope this helps!!! Have fun and I hope you make it!
I know…I do not know why it did not go off at 5 a.m. like it usually does…and then by the time I realized (as many people emailed me) I needed to reset it and it goes off at every 2 hours so I had to wait until 11!!!!
Good news…we did NOT get the snow (well as much) as they fore-casted – the DC area is much worse for a change!!! Another reason why Hannah is not allowed to marry a weatherman…great people but there job it a tough one to “hold true to their word”!!!!
Stamp Day = PLAY DAY!!!! Woot-woot!!!!
Hmmmmm……I checked for your e-mail blog this morn and it wasn’t there! I’m glad all is O.K. Love your St. Pat’s Day card. The color is so sharp on the crumb cake. I was kind of surprised by that! Interesting! I’ll have to give it a try!
Oh how I love Charlie Brown and Snoopy ! Snoopy brings a smile to my face always and this Snow Dance picture is too cute !
So is your card in Crumb Cake and in that size doubles it`s cute rating . And you gave layering measurements yesterday for this card size . Thank you !
Love the card. I don’t have many hearts what size did you use?
As you would say, WHOOT WHOOT! Tis me birthday that day too! Actually I have several friends and acquaintances that share the same day and I make special birthday/St. Patrick’a Day cards for us! Then, sometimes I make some for the office people since another’s anniversary is that day. So, I am always on the look out for fun cards. This will be a definite keeper in case mine don’t work out the way it should. That Gumball green does look sharp with the white and crumb cake. Each day will have to involve hearts, embossing, polka dots, or a touch of ribbon I would think since you used all of these on this card. Whatever, I am sure we will love each days. We had the snow this weekend and now we have record breaking cold today with more snow tomorrow I believe. I actually went and made cards this afternoon with a CTMH demo and we had a really good time just chatting and creating. Well, she had created and cut everything I just put mine together! Double Whoot Whoot for that!
