What is your favorite flower?
Well…hands down mine is tulips! I love the variety of colors and I love the "attitude" they have…like when you put them vase and they "droop over" in a very majestic way that always puts a smile on my face! Many times my Mom would pop by with a bunch of "tulips" and she would say – "They are for you because I know you love them"
This clean and simple card is another card for Breast Cancer tomorrow evening! This is simple and just think of the color changes you could do! This stamp, from the Blessed Easter set, lends itself to water-coloring…and guess what…you are probably like me and waiting for the new "Blendabilities" Markers to come out…Stampin' Up! said it would be in the 1st quarter…soooooo it will be soon! Yippee!!!!

If you notice – this is a single stamp and it only is available in Wood Mount…and I think it is super just like it is…but I thought it would be more vesatile for me if I "cut" it into 2 stamps! True – I could mask-it and use it that way…but it is so easy to cut the sentiment from the tulips…so presto!
Let's get to why you are here and I do hope that you CASE away as it is a perfect Spring Card….for a "just because"… "thinking of you"…"thank you" and of course a lovely Easter Card!
- The base is the note card size and then the Whisper White is 4 1/2" X 2 3/4" and then the Pink Pirouette is 4 3/4" X 3"
- Start with the water color "blotches" from the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set…I stamped it in So Saffron and I stamped "it off" before stamping it on my card…why? I was looking for a very soft effect of a spring yellow!
- Time for the Tulips! I used the brush end of the Old Olive and Strawberry Slush! This is such a simple technique and it allows you to "ink" very precise….before you stamp…give it a "huff of Stampin' love" to keep the ink moist….stamp – perfect each and every time!
- The last part of Stamping is the sentiment….this is from the Wetlands Stamp Set! I thought that this font was a perfect flow for the tulips!

- I popped up the focal part of the card with the best stampin' vitamins in the whole wide world, stampin' dimensionals – I would not ever….EVER be without them! They are the best and the easiest way to create a simple yet classic card!
- To the envelope we go! When in doubt…pull them out! The Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack to the rescue! I loved the print of this paper…very fitting for the card! (click on the picture to make it larger)

That's it…a super easy card…you didn't need me for this one!
Every month when I do my Breast Cancer project, I try to design cards that are uplifting, beautiful, thoughtful and fun! It seems like I am always doing florals and it is hard not to use some sentiments as the people that receive these cards are in treatment – and we have no idea how they are doing in their treatment with this terrible cancer.
This card will brighten someones day…and hopefully inspire them for Spring! Remember, we are in the final stretches of Sale-A-Bration….so do not miss the opportunity to get a FREEBIE with every $40.00 you spend – to "sweeten" the fun – I personally will send you a swatch book that I made with the DSP!!!
(I will be mailing out today the swatch books from order I received last week!) These come in handy sooooo much! When you are sitting down to work on a project – it is great to pull the swatches out andgo to town!
Please pop back tomorrow as I will share with you a FUN card that will make you smile the minute you see it…It is bright, fun, fresh and happy!
I thank you for spending your coffee with me! I apoligize with the delay yesterday…I do not know what happened…but I thank you for being a "team player" and being patient!
Stampin' hugs to you and enjoy your day….
Until tomorrow!

Beautiful card! I love that stamp too.
Tulips are a favorite of mine, too. My oldest daughter had purple tulips for her wedding last spring, and my grandmother always had tons of tulips growing in her flower beds! I ordered that stamp with all of that in mind! I, too, was planning to cut off the sentiment for ease of use.
Thank you for sharing! Beautiful, springy card!
Cyberhugs!
Such a pretty card! Love everything about it!
I just bought this stamp set and am so excited to see what you did with it. Love the way you made it into 2 stamps. Great idea. Thanks for sharing your beautiful work. Blessings.
Susan, I love what you did with that So Saffron (isn`t that an often overlooked color ?) Your color swatch is so much softer and complimentary to your Tulips rather than over powering them . A pretty card . And let`s not forget our Envelope Punch Board for a colored Envie for your notecards sometimes
Have a terrific Tuesday !!
Susan, if you add a Penney to the vase of water, your tulips will not droop.
Good idea to make two from one. Great card
Vary pretty Susan !!!
Hugs frenchie
I cut my stamp apart too as I knew I’d use the tulips for much more than Easter. I lack a wood mount to put the greeting on though. Do you have any good suggestions? I do not know anyone who is handy.
Your card is beautiful!!! I cut my stamp apart as well. Right now I have the sentiment attached to a clear block but I don’t want to make that a permanent mount. I, too, would love to know where to buy extra wood mounts.
Sweet, sweet card; a lovely color combo. I have never cut stamps – what is the easiest wat to do so? Do you need to remove the entire stamp from the base before you trim …
WOW! I did not know that…thanks for the tip!
I cut mine and I just use the sentiment stamp with a clear mount block and stick it with temporary tape. I did not have an extra wood block and this works fine!
What a gorgeous card with the so saffron. I love this stamp set and have already used it with so many different sentiments. So versitile! Love your color choices for BC cards!
I love this time of year and the beautiful tulips that are available. Exactly why I bought this stamp set, I loved the tulips and I did the same as you and separated the sentiment from the flowers so I could use them year-round.
Gorgeous!
I adore tulips! So many different kinds and they all shout spring and warmer weather! Yankee candle made a tulip candle at one point the scent was amazing!
Hi Sonny….I love so saffron…I think it is a great soft color but looks super with so many bold colors as well! Thanks for popping by!
Dittos to Jeanie…I will need to treat myself to some tulips and put that penny in!!! Woot-Woot!
Jeanie took the words right from my typing fingers!!!
I have some really….really old stamps that I never use and when I looked at them – I will never use…..(mainly from stores – not SU) but I will say – there are many times you can go into Michaels etc…and find some super inexpensive stamps…say .50 and then just peel off the rubber stamp and stick yours on…that what I did!
No, trim the stamp before you take off the sticky adhesive part…I just use scissors and gently pull the sentiment away from the image if it is super close….. naturally you would not want to cut the image!!! Try it – you’ll like it!
Good minds think alike…..ha-ha!!!! Thanks for popping by!
Do they still have it? I would love that!!!
A great Spring card. Haven’t seen the ground here in months,so it is nice to see some Spring flowers, even if it is on a card. (More snow tomorrow.) I like the watercolor look. Thanks for sharing.
So pretty! I really like your card. My favorite flower is really an iris but my husband has trouble growing them. We have lots of other kinds though. Tulips, remind me to tell you about our annual Tulip Festival our town has with all the outstanding amounts of tulips that are planted! Thousands and more thousands of people come here to see the tulips and eat all the Dutch goodies. I sure hope the weather cooperates this year. Wooden shoes are optional!
Now why didn’t I think of making two stamps. You ladies are just to cleaver for wards:)
