Well how about this different card for me! I get emails and comments from people saying that this find it hard to use the DSP in other ways than lining envelopes!
I agree that that is mainly what I do with DSP but there are many other ways to use it…. let’s put our thinking caps on…. naturally they are great for envelopes but they are great with 3 D projects…with our punches…and look at this as the focal part to a card!
Today’s card does not have an envelope as this card is being delivered with a yummy loaf of fresh Zucchini Bread from our garden! I guess you can say I am my Mom’s daughter as I have many traits as she did…She always loved to give handmade gifts and adored to cook as well!
I have lots of "scoop" on the pictures…so please take it all in and then give it a try! I was super happy with the end resut!
You can see that I took a piece of Whisper White, simply stamped the "thank you" in night of navy (love that color) and then took it to the Simply Scored and scored a "smidge" in on either side!
Next I used the Scallop Border Punch…something I truthfully forget about….I do not know why as I love the effect it gives a great effect! This is what I call a simple yet effective finishing touch!
If you follow my blog, you know that I am "bow challenged" but I will say that the seam binding ribbon makes me smile as …I CAN DO IT!!! (YES – I will be having a ribbon share next week!)
I adore this deep color of navy for a ribbon – to me…it really stands out!
After I had the bow the way I wanted, I took a Very Vintage Button and threaded some Bakers Twine to give it a fun twist! The best way I think to adhere it is with a simple glue dot…remember the basics work…they will never let you down!
I know that when my friend receives this yummy bread and card – she will have a huge smile on her face….(let's see if she pops on my blog today)….Have a great day…
I am getting excited to see Hannah tomorrow….the last time before she heads off to India!
Please let the incredible opportunity to take a test drive sink in….click here to see the post and please email me if I can answer any questions….I do not think I have ever met someone that does not like a sale!
This is sooooo much better than a sale….it is being united with a positive group of endless inspiration!

Until tomorrow!

Susan, This card is so beautiful. The bow is amazing. I love the whole card. I hope you have a wonderful time with Hannah. Wish her good luck in India for me. I know your friend is going to love the bread and this card is going to make her smile big time. Thank you for always sharing your talent with allof us. Have a great day. Ellen Hinds
I think Night Of Navy is one of those true colors that are faithful just like Real Red . You know they are pure and traditional colors that you need for certain cards . Cute card and love the pictures !
What a yummy gift !
I am also a big friend of Night of Navy, Susan. Your card is beautiful … great way to showcase the busier DSP. And your bow is just perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!
Lovely, lovely and lovely bow Susan!!! Fun and pretty card!!!
Thanks for sharing with us!
I really like this idea, Susan, and the card is very eye catchy. Thanks fir sharing this idea:)
Love what you’ve done with that paper! Using the white with just a sentiment on it helps calm down the busyness of the dsp.
Wish Hannah a bon voyage for me! What did you find for host family gifts?
Cyberhugs!
Love this DSP series and the blue bow . . . perfect!! I had to put that TY stamp back on my wish list. It always looks so nice. Have a great weekend.
🙂
Stunning! I love this DP and have used it in small pieces but this really shows it off! Of course the gorgeous bow and button help show it off! I love that stamp too! I, too, forget to use the scallop punch and the other borders. I love the look but just forget to pull them out. This is a great blue to use but I still have the blues for the Midnight Muse!
Wishing you and John a safe trip into the city and a bigger wish for Hannah to have a safe and wonderful trip!
Beautiful card and bold colors. Love it! Have a wonderful visit with Hannah and safe travels to all.
Susan, I love the DSP, the card is lovely and so simple to make. Good luck to Hannah heading off to India. WOW! I am still adjusting to my oldest going off to college and he will only be a half hour drive from our home.
