Good Morning! I hope that everyone is having a great weekend! I must say…I was having a tough time getting my engine started this weekend but no one came to my "pity party" so I decided to go to the gym…take my mind off of the house and it was a great move!
How about this sweet card to brighten your day….it is rainy and bleak on the East Coast and I need some rays of sunshine! This is a sneak peak of the catalog that is unveiled on Tuesday….48 hours and counting…we all can see it….we all are excited! The stamp set is called So You.
One thing (well there are lots of things) that make me "SMILE" in this new catalog is that there are many, many great sentiments like this that can truly stand on their own! I love the font and I am super happy that we have so many great options with this catalog!
I have a confession, you know that I adore square cards and I must admit….my Envelope Punch Board had dust on it ……which means that I have not made a square card for a while…..those holidays get you in many ways!
Let's get going as I hope that this card "picks you up" and makes you "SMILE".…please feel free to CASE away!
- The Card size is a 4 1/2" Square.
- The white stamped piece is a 3 7/8" square
- The White Mat is 4 1/8" square
- Letting the stamp set do it's magic…it is a 1-2-3- card! A quick POP of a daffodil delight with the 1" circle punch and then some dashes around did the trick!
- Let's get to the Crushed Curry Bakers Twine…I shared with you last week that Bakers Twine is a product that I did not use a bunch in the past and now….I love it! Not only is it the best "bang for your buck" but having multiple strands…makes the WOW happen…quick!
Did you notice that I am using both the Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry at the same time….sometimes it just works! Never be afraid to play with color…..
- Out comes the envelope punch board…I must admit, it felt great to use it and wow – it is so darn tootin' easy! Just folllow the guide on the base and you will never go wrong!
- How about this super fun liner….it is a Sale-A-Bration FREEBIE and it is one that you will want to have! I am having a blast playing with this paper!
(Remember, you can get the swatches and also 1/4 sheets of this paper for FREE with the Occassions Paper and Ribbon Share I am offering….click here to see the post)….I will be ordering 1st thing on Tuesday!
I hope that this clean and simple card brought a smile to your face! Please feel free to email me if you have any questions of this post. I have not used Daffodil Delight a bunch lately – and it brought some sunshime to me today! Yellow always does this for me…a quick "pick me up"
Many thanks for all of the emails and comments about Rosie…she is "perking" up some…but I can say that I have never had a dog have such a hard time. She ADORES John and he left for about 2 hours yesterday and Hannah and I could not get her to stop whining for him!
Below is her in a chair – RIGHT BY JOHN…..putting that darn puzzle together!
Until tomorrow! Enjoy your day….

Hope Rosie is doing better today. She looks like a real sweetheart. Love your card, colors are bright and cherry. Thank you for sharing.
This card is AWESOME – Perfect for this dreary weather and so crisp and sweet. Glad to hear that Rosie is doing better! She has THE SWEETEST FACE EVER and it warms my heart that she has finally found her forever home. Happy New Year and God bless!
What a happy card today! Hope your weekend will be a bit brighter too.
I love your blog, but I don’t often comment. Just had to this morning….love the yellow, square card…I, too, love square cards and yellow is my fav color. Such a cheerful card. I use my envelope punch board all the time. No dust on mine…LOL
Your puppy is so cute….
This card will perk up anybody, simple but the message is unmistakable.
I wish Rosie will get better soon, she looks comfortable on that chair but you can tell she is not feeling all that good. That sweet little face needs to smile real soon. Please keep us posted of her progress.
Sending lots of healing~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~for sweet Rosie. 🙂
This card has ENERGY. Just what I needed. Will case for sure. Thank you so much.
Your card is stunning and just looking at it makes me happy. I will say a pray for little Rosie. I am so glad you have her and now she has a chance at life. Bless you for taking her in.
Love the card…so bright and cheerful! Gives you the “Zen” you need. Rosie is so darn cute…glad to hear she is recovering?
This is a great card, Susan! I love the bright cheerful color. It’s going into my CASE file! 🙂
Love this card ! I really like how you did the corner detail. So clever. I have this set on my list and that adorable So You Notebook set is calling me too ! Wonder why they didn`t make that a Bundle ?
Rosie is precious . Give her some time …she`s delicate (you may have a princess in house now !) Love it !
Yellow always makes me smile! Bright and cheery card! I have to admit I did not notice this stamp set in the catalog even though I have perused it at least a dozen times. THanks for sharing. Off to peruse again and get that wish list going!
Bright and cheery card! I didn’t even notice the two different colors. I like the corner detail and that faux stitching. We have a bright sunny day but a very harsh cold wind and some snow.
Maybe Rosie needs some bling treatment to her collar – that collar thing alone is enough to bring any one down! Make her feel special though she looks like she has adjusted to it better than Murphy did one time. He would bang into everything with it on purpose. Finally he had it so mangled it was just easier to do without. You could be sleeping and he was bang it in your face and scare the crap out of you. Then bang it in your face again as you reach to put your slippers on to see if he wants to go outside. An easy hallway of at least 36 inches wide, he would manage to hit the walls several times!
Susan, This card is so sweet. This card would make any one smile. I am so glad you have this adorable dog. I have a Rosie she is a English Bulldog. Rosie is a sweet dog, I am so glad you have her to give her some loving. I hope she feels better soon. Have a great New Year, Ellen Hinds
Nice and bright exactly what was needed on such an overcast day. Thanks for the great idea.

Love your card! It is some much needed sunshine today!
