Yesterday was a busy day but a great day! I am doing fantastic and I can start to put weight on it (a bit) and I have graduated to a new bootie (a couple of hours a day) but my BIG boot is still around for another 3 weeks! Many thanks to everyone – you all have been the best in reaching out and wishing me well….I can see the end – now that deserves a HUGE woot-woot!
Now let's get to the subject line….It's Johns fault – well are you wondering what that is about? Well it is because this bow…fru-fru – what ever you call it is his fault because he took my craft scissors again and I could not get a crisp cut but I think it is stinkin' cute!….(this time the scissors went to the barn to open a bag of horse feed)
This is one of the new offerings of Sale-a-bration items that will be available March 1st – March 31st! Please click here to see the flyer – lots of new fun and fresh ideas. Actually I have used a ton of Sale-A-Bration products on this card…this has just been a fabulous year of fun and fresh offerings – thank you Stampin' up!
The card is a 5" square card and then using the neutral of Sahara Sand and the Large Polka Dot embossing folder, the stage was set for a clean and crisp card!
Isn't this stamp set super fun! It is a coloring dream machine….no thinking here – just have fun! It is a 4 piece set and I think it is a super practical and fun set. Remember, with every $50.00 order you can pick this or any of the Sale-a-bration items for free! It is called For Being You.
I do love the look of taking 2 different colors and "piecing" them together to create interest to a card! There is nothing like the simple help of an embossing folder to help make that happen!
Now to the fun mess…I cannot tell you how I did it but I was just trying to tie a simple bow with the NEW In Color Accessory Pack with the Hello Honey and when I went to cut the bakers twine….not a sharp cut -out came the fun pom-pom trim… I was determined to make Lemonade out of Lemons…and I think it turned out cute! "Fraying" the bakers twine by running the piercing tool through it is a fun effect.
Exciting stuff! These 4 new Sale-a-bration items will surely get your head scratching as to how to earn them!
- How about a cyber event? I would love to get you a hostess code so you can earn them.
- How about having me do a stamp-a-stack or a class?
- How about a 3 month subscription for Paper Pumpkin?
Email me if you are just "itchin" to get more goodies and together we can come up with a plan.
Can you believe that it is Friday already? Wow – this week has ZOOMED by. I have had many people ask about my "knee scooter" – well I am still using good old Black Beauty and here is a picture of one similar. Since I have to have it around from a couple more weeks, I am going to jazz her up over the weekend!
I can get this thing ZOOMING…..it truly has been a lifesaver…just like YOU! I am the luckiest person in the whole wide world to have cyber friends like YOU!!!!
So this BIG THANK YOU card….is for all of YOU!
Tomorrow is a special day (well heck, everyday is a special day) but tomorrow is my oldest peeps Birthday! Please pop back and see the fun!

Hide those new scissors. I hate that when that happens. They just don’t understand how precious our stuff is to us!
Sounds like you need to buy John some scissors for his birthday! Or Father’s Day. Or sooner, what about for St. Patrick’s Day? However, the lemonade did come out really cute!
I am so glad you’ve had the knee scooter! I know from my own experience how much of a difference that would have made in my own life to have had something like that! Much better than being stuck in a recliner for 7 1/2 weeks!
Of the four new items in the Sale-a-Bration offerings, this stamp set is my favorite! I was going to be making one more order at some point!
Cyberhugs! Don’t get too anxious and overdo it!
Great card….love the trimmings!
Your lemonade is very “sweet” and adorable! You made the variety of colors come together and the fru-fru made it pop! Glad to hear you are progressing with your injury and I agree with the others that John needs a special scissors present!
LOL…boy, I know what you mean about someone using your good scissors for tasks other than what they were designed for….I had a friend over a while back who used my good scissors to cut floral wire!!!! AWWWWW….it almost made me physically sick when I discovered it. I’m so funny about my crafting tools. Anyway, love your “bow”….I think it’s cute and adds a nice touch to the card.
Happy to hear that you are doing better! The foo foo tie on is very cool! It works so well with the card. Mmmm….Maybe this card should go to John? Not that he should be rewarded for his scissor borrowing!
Congrats on the physical improvements. Yea!! I think your fru-fru shredded bow is fabulous. No one would know that it wasn’t creatively intentional! As always, you never cease to amaze. Great card and envelope!
Cute card Susan….now on to your scissors….I have a easy fix for you….I learned this years ago with my sewing fabric scissors….my family used to “borrow” them and I don’t know how many pairs they ruined…..so I got a padlock and when my good scissors were not in use by me they had a padlock through the finger grips so no one could “borrow” them and damage them.
I say let him borrow the scissors because this turned out great!
Hi Susan, let John keep the “BARN” scissors, but put a bright hot pink “fru-fru” bow on the handle, then get a new pair for you and a padlock like Shel Anderson mentioned!!!
So glad it was good news from your appointment. Oh what are those men like????? My hubby constantly borrows my heat gun to use in the garage where he has a stable – no not like you; he has motorbikes he cossets. Anyway we can’t be too hard on John can we; the bow thingy looks pretty good. Keep up the good work with your recovery Susan. Take care.
Lovely card, Thanks Susan
Time to get another pair of scissors….
On my craft table, I work with several lol

YEA!!! So happy for the good dr. report! Love the card. Cute foo foo!
Even though John took your scissors (again ?) the end result is awesome! I love the fringed look of the hello honey twine. And paired with the pom poms, it makes a perfect card! Glad you got good news at the doctor too. I’m sure it’s hard to stay “down” when you’re as energetic as you are. But, soon you’ll be flying all over the place and back to your old self.
I was hoping it was not just a two wheeled scooter! Love this card and especially that frayed bow with the pom poms. Too bad it took John to goof up the scissors to create this! I love that stamp set and how you colored it. Great doctor’s report!
