We always need to have these card unfortunately but I will say that this card is one that will never let you down as it is just classic and beautiful! Have fun changing up the colors that you use and play around with different DSP for the envelope fun!
A week from today Stampin Up! will be sharing with all of us the list of retiring stamps and that can be a sad day for us but it also can he a HAPPY day for some as they will be able to get some good buys! I have said countless times before that I do keep stamps that are my favorites/touch my heart and if this stamp set is on the bye-bye list – snatch it up and if it is not….put it on your list to purchase.
This set is called Love & Sympathy and the reason I love it is the fact that it has (3) stamps and you use all (3) with one card…plus it is only $11.95 in the clear mount…woot-woot – a win – win all the way around.
The card foundation is from the note-card size in whisper white and basically everything is sooooo darn straight forward. To me, the stamp-a-jig was a key tool fro me and I was able to whip up several of these cards in no time.
When we need a sympathy card, it is so wonderful to have some already made up ready to go as timing is so important! This card will hold up to any card that takes hours to make…this is one of those Wham-Bam cards that you can crank out many in no time.
I simply used the stampin' up! markers in Old Olive and Wisteria Wonder with the brush tip to color the floral stamp and then gave it a quick "huff of stampin' love" and then presto – a great image.
The sentiment was inked up with and again, the stamp -a- ma-jig helped me with perfect placement.
I made a bunch of these cards so I maximized my DSP and also used a 1/4" of Old Olive so I could get (12) envelopes lined from one sheet of paper. I adore these paper stack!
I have received some super fun and cute challenges from yesterday – please remember that you can email me your picture of your card until 9 p.m. tonight (eastern) and you could win a white gel pen…there is so much fun talent out there!
You know what today is….the unveiling of the weekly deals…what is your favorite? Thanks for popping in today and I hope that you enjoyed my clean and simple card!
Until tomorrow!
This is soooo pretty, Susan. I adore the color combination and the simple, clean look. Gorgeous!
Simple but yes, very classy! Love that stamp set too!
Beautiful card and the sentiment is so touching! This is an overlooked stamp set that should be a staple in the craft room.
Love this card. I bought this set when it first came out and still love it. You’ve inspired me to get it out and make several cards to have on hand.
A Beautiful way to let someone know that you care. Simple, Classy, and Elegant…..and “Susan Style” too~
So lovely, serene and so beautiful. This card really would let someone know you care. I love the sentiment, it’s really so touching.
Thank you for sharing.
Beautiful card Susan! Simple yet elegant.
This is one of my favorite sets and your card is just beautiful! So simple, yet, so elegant. I love this sentiment too. Beautiful job!
Ya know, I don’t know if I really ever bought this set. I know I thought about it a zillion times but now I am not sure. Please help me organize my stamps so I don’t rebuy one or miss out! Honestly, how do people list their sets and keep them straight. Of course if I got rid of some that would help but that just won’t happen right now. I gotta keep my stuff!
Just in case I think I will get this at stamp club this month to be on the safe side. This is a keeper set for sure.
An elegant card that looks so professional. A great stamp set to have.
If possible might we see some of the Monday Challenge entries? If it involves much effort then of course I understand, but perhaps a chance to see the selected card would be manageable. Thanks for the inspiration.
Susan, This card and envelope are so wonderful. I love the simplicity of thus card. You are right when you need a sympathy card it is good to have one in a jiffy. Thank you Susan. Happy Stamping, Ellen Hinds
Thanks Deb…it has been a while since I have used this set and I asked myself WHY??? It truly is a beautiful set!
simple + classic = one great card!
I like the way you think and I feel the same way…how can you go wrong at this price of a set. It is timeless and it is just beautiful.
YEAH!!! Please do Cindy – this is one that comes together soooo darn fast and you will be so happy to have extras on hand when you need it! Have fun!
It’s a keeper set….the set is so fabulous – how can you go wrong with making a clean and simple card!
I totally agree….the sentiment is wonderful…
Thanks Kathy, I must say at 1st I was fussing around and fussing around and then as I was frustrating myself I said – “Do what you preach – keep it simple” Sometimes we learn from that person in the back of our mind!!!
Awe Bobbi….you made me smile, so glad you liked it and many thanks for the comment.
Oh Chris…have you seen “Hillary” yet – I hear that she is on her way to your state!!!!
I keep my stamps all alphabetized…it’s the only way I can keep them straight (mentally!!!)
I think that I could make that work…maybe on Friday – I already have my posts finished for tomorrow and Thursday but on Friday I was going to do something fun (blog candy) so maybe I’ll also add the masterpieces!!!
Thanks Ellen, isn’t it great to have a stamp set to go to and make something special in literally minutes. You know I adore my envelopes – I like making the mailman smile!
I love your card and the colors you chose! I really love the sentiments and the script is elegant! I have this set and will never get rid of it either! Even though you can make this card in a matter of minutes it doesn’t appear that way! 🙂
Dear Susan, thank you so very much for this card that I will definitely CASE — of course I need to purchase the set first. I know I have asked for some sympathy cards and it is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for remembering and really like the envelope!!
