Does a card need to be a rectangle??? Does a card need to be a square??? Nope…today we are going in circles! This card inspiration is for my oldest peep as he is running a crazy relay marathon this weekend.
I had never heard of such a thing. You can click here to read more about it – (it really is fascinating) and he will be running from Boson to Providence Town in Cape Cod (a total of 200 miles) and Will will be running (3) different times! Obviously they are working as a team but the concept is really fun!
Today is one version…and please pop back tomorrow to see the "stepped up" version. I thought since he was doing something so different…I would make him a different card! The best thing is that we have the envelope punch board so making an envelope is a cinch!
When you go to cut this base, just make sure that you leave the framelit off the cutting area on the Big Shot so you have this part as the hinge!
The sentiment was a super simple stamp and the the Big Shot did all of the work. Isn't it great to get a perfect circle each and every time! Stampin' dimensionals are the key accessory to make the card pop!
The subtle DSP from the Adventure Bound DSP Stack, the is THE BEST Masculine Paper Stack…if you are running low on it, I would purchase another back before it leaves as it is a wonderful paper for making masculine cards.
This is a fun and quick card to whip up! The Bravo Stamp Set is a stellar one for WOOT-WOOT cards! It has many wonderful sentiments that are perfect to congratulate someone! (See the scrolling images below)
I did stamp a fun sentiment inside, tomorrow I will share with you the inside. Please do not forget to have fun with making cards in all different shapes. They create an instant smile and you will be smiling too!
Please feel free to email me and I hope to see you tomorrow! Enjoy your day…

Providence, a city, is in Rhode Island. Provincetown is on Cape Cod, at the very tip. Not sure they’d want to be confused with each other. Long run, any way you look at it. Good luck……..
I think that I have it right….it is a darn long run and actually he just called me about an hour ago and said that he finished a leg of the run…he said one of his runs was a 2 a.m. – (CRAZY) and it was very chilly and he was sore as he had a fast run….their team is doing well – better them than me!
This is the 34 year of a similar run they do in the Pacific Northwest. It’s called Hood to Coast relay where the runners run from the lodge on Mt. Hood (@ 8000 ft. elev.) to the beach (197 miles). They run in teams of 12-8 and start at 5:45 ish on Friday and finish sometime on Sat. with a big celebration on the beach. It’s sponsored by a local hospital and you can do some fundraising for cancer research too. If your son is really into this kind of thing you should have him check it out! It’s a big deal out here.
Fun card today too. Love the circles!
I love this circular card; when we first looked at it, Caleb said “it looks like a wheel!” Then, after I read your post to him, he thought the circular “wheel” was perfect for a marathon runner since Will uses his “wheels” to run. The race sounds interesting but the only place you will find me at 2AM is in fast asleep in my bed. We’re excited to see how you step it up tomorrow!
I really like your circular card! I am making some cards for my Mama as a gift. She just might need a circular one in her stack! Thanks for the great ideas you share everyday! Can’t wait to see the step up tomorrow!
Hope your son’s team finishes well!
Going ’round in circles bugaloo – wasn’t that a circle eons ago? Gee Susan, you make the world go around! Hwy, I think I am a little sun dazed or crazed! Teddy figured out the best part of Tulip Time was to go for lots of walks and people would pet him! He was the best boy! He is going to go into withdrawal mode tomorrow and then the Central College kids will be leaving next week too. He probably will sleep all week! He even took the lazy way out and laid on the porch and people would come up to him just to pet him!
The card is a great idea and I have not done a shaped card for awhile. Love the colors too.
I just saw the May Paper Pumpkin kit on a video. Wow, totally fun. If I was a demo I would have been ordering friends the $5 intro kit myself if that was possible. Then, they could cancel. It just looks like so much fun to play with!
Happy Mother’s Day!
