Good Morning! I had posted about this earlier this year and I felt that it was appropriate to "re-do" it again as I will be needing my box of fun! Please make sure that you do read to the end as I have a super easy tip for you and your re-inkers!
I set all of my blog posts to go off on a schedule and I am hopeful that tomorrow I will be feeling up to it to blog and let you know how I am….below is what I call my Box of fun….it has all of the necessities in it for me to work on my projects!

It truly is amazing what a Kleenex Box will do for you…(it actually brings back wonderful memories of when the kids needed to make school projects). I covered it with paper, DSP and ribbon to have on special Box of Stampin' fun!
When I broke my ankle the 1st time, my wonderful husband was getting a bit frustrated with all of my stampin' stuff here and there in our family room. We were getting ready to have a Blog Hop with the theme of recycling and BAM…this came to mind!
My "work table" is back on the 1st floor until I can do steps… and my box of fun is downstairs as well. Here is the analogy that I like to use with my Box of fun….
I like to think of it as a kitchen, when you have the proper utensils, the cooking process goes so much smoother…and just like equipping a kitchen – it takes time, it is an investment but here is my take on the "must haves" for making me roll with my projects!
Here are the goodies that are in my Box of Fun….it is amazing how much you can get in!
(These are in no particular order, I am just peaking in my box and typing away!)
- Stampin' Pierce Mat
- Stampin' Scrub (Once you get use to using this – you'll never be without it)
- Stampin' Mist
- Craft Scissors (I know…and indulgence – but SOOOOOO worth it – you'll never regret it….actually I bet you'll buy another within 6 months – I keep one for paper and one for ribbon)
- Paper Snips Scissors
- Stamp-A-Ma-Jig (no sighing here….try it – you'll LOVE IT)
- Adhesive Remover (Simply the best, especially if you use the "green glue" a bunch)
- Snail Permanent Adhesive
- Glue Dots
- Sticky Strip
- Liquid Multipurpose Glue
- Stampin' Dimensionals
- Silicone Craft Sheet
- Bone Folder
- Paper-Piercing Tool
- Simply Scored Stylus
- Project Life Journaling Pens (these are the best to write with in your cards…they do not smear one bit!)
- White Gel Pen (what would I do without my trusty friend)
These are the Stampin' Up! Products that were a supporting actress to my box of fun!
- Tiny Treat Boxes
- 1-3/8" Circle Punch ( to make the hole for the boxes)
- Blushing Bride 8-1/2" X 11" Card Stock
- Blushing Bride 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon
- Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (A MUST HAVE!!!)
- Flower Pot Designer Series Paper
- Regals Candy Dots
- Perfect Print Alphabet Bigz Die
- Vanilla Coaster Board (I adore this and used it to "lift up" my letters, this is what I used to make my Easter Baskets. It is overlooked in the catalog but sure does come in handy!)
- Big Shot

Non Stampin' Up Things in my box of tricks!
- Mechanical Pencil (I think the lead is softer making it super easy to erase)
- Magic Rub Eraser (a simple eraser that you can buy at any office store)
- A Good Ruler (I like one that is clear and one that goes down to 1/8" marks
- A note pad (I always like to have scratch paper to write note and tips for my postings)
Now for a TIP FOR THE DAY!
When I first started with Stampin' Up! I did not "get" the importance of purchasing the re-inkers until I was working on a project that I was not getting a good stamp….and who in the heck wants to wait for an order to come in for something as simple as a re-inker.
They are very affordable and when I purchase mine, each collection came in a box so it was super easy for me to use my label maker and type Regals….Brights etc…. but then I always had a hard time reading the tiny print as to what color it is.
Take the hole puncher and pop out the color that is in the bottle…adhere it with a glue dot and BAM – you can find the color you are looking for super quick!
Until tomorrow!

Nice tip about the reinkers! I really need to do that! And, your box of tricks is super! I may need that idea when our move is in-between. (I have an IKEA bin that is doing that job right now, before we move, but it will be in transit at some point, so, Susan’s brilliant idea to the rescue!)
I hope you are feeling much better today!
Big cyberhugs!
What a great idea!!!!! Thanks
Love your box and the re-inker tip! Hope you are felling better and not in too much discomfort. Take it easy and slow (hard to do)….the healing process will actually go much faster than expected. Hugs!
Dear Susan, I love your box and all the goodies. I also love your tips on your reindeers. I am so sorry you have to go through this again. You are in my prayers. Please take care of yourself. We all love you so much. I am sending you a great big hug, all the way from Fairport, New York. Hugs, Ellen Hinds
Great ideas as usual Susan!!! Thank you
Love the tip about the re Inkers! Thanks Susan.
Love my visits on your blog ! I also use the tissue boxes and find they are perfect for holding stamping stuff.
I am sending you good healing wishes . I had a friend that went through the same ordeal . It gets better .
Thanks for all the info and tips !
Love this tip. I hope your recovery is going smoothly. Take care of yourself.
I really do love the way your “my stuff” is raised guess Coaster Board will be on my next order. Take care and recover. Susan
It still amazes me all the stuff you can get in your box! It reminds me of when I was a kid and we decorated the cigar boxes to keep our school stuff in or crayons etc.
Hope you are a little more pain free today. Just kick back (oops sorry) and relax and enjoy some down time. Hugs and good wishes coming your way.
Yes, that is a great idea about the re-inkers and I have already done that. I am still tempted whenever the label maker makes it’s appearance again to wrap the name around the bottle too! I don’t have very many reinkers thinking that I would never need them but then I found out I have ordered 3 of one color! It would be nice if SU would put that dot on the top for us!
Such a great tip with the reindeers. Thanks.
Hope your recovery is speedy. God Bless.
Great re-inker hint. I do have a few and the print is very small. I hope you are feeling better today. I hope you enjoy your stamping time. Enjoy. Relax. Breathe.
🙂
Super doper idea!
That is going on my project list of things to do for sure!
Great tip with the re-inkers. I will have to do this. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Take it easy, enjoy and time will help you heal.
Love the reinker idea. Will try! Hope you are getting lots of rest (we heal best that way) and keeping on top of your pain with medication. Don’t try to be a hero. Looking forward to having you back soon!
Olive the re inker tip, I will definitely do this,, I go crazy looking for the cloud I want.
Do hope you are on your way to recovery, take it easy.
I have the same problem you do with reading the colors on the reinkers, love your tip for the color on the lid. Live your box of fun also.
Hope you heal quickly this time and they get it back to normal.
Love the reinker tip! I tried to write in sharpie along that curved edge and that’s better than nothing but not great. I also like the shot where we can see your little boxes inside the big box for added partitioning. Without that I don’t think I realized the little boxes fit inside the big one.
WOW! Awesome tip with the reinkers. Will do that for sure! Sending hugs your way and hoping to make the pain go away!!! You are in my thoughts!!!!
Olive the re inker tip, I will definitely do this,, I go crazy looking for the cloud I want.

fantastic tip!! thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks for that super tip, Susan! I have most of my re-inkers right next to the pad and marker, but how nice to have an added color on it as sometimes when I take out the pad and marker, I don’t always remember where it goes back(especially if I have several out). I do hope you are feeling much better and that your box of stash is enough!
What a Cute little box of “My Stuff” I’ve ever seen, Fabulous idea Susan. Reminds me of a box I decorated for my husband to put his “Stuff” in between the seats of his vehicle on the floor. It had a blow out and I never replaced it…maybe I should. Thanks for the inspiration, have a Wonderful weekend everyone. Hope you feel better soon Susan…Stampin Hugs 2 U!
I hope your recovery is quick and that all goes well!
Hope you are doing well and the pain is minimal. What a great idea for re-inkers! I have all the stamp pads but do yu believe I do not have a single re-inker?!
Susan,
I love, love, love your idea for identifying the reinker colors!! Brilliant. Now if I can only find my hole punch!
Susan, I’m off to get my hole punch and start marking my reindeers! Thanks for the great tip!
Fantastic re-inker idea. I’ve been tossing around ideas but totally missed this idea. So simple – perfect! Thanks Susan and wishes for a speedy recovery.
