Yippee-Skippee…. it’s a new week and don’t forget that today is the last day for you to take advantage of the weekly deals. I am going to focus on the Envelope Punch Board, as it is sooooooo worth focusing on again!
We made it home late last night and I had several emails that “I lost you” on the explanation of the how to make the envelope liner for the square envelope….at the very end of this post I will add the specific measurements for you and then I promise the next video I do is going to be about envelopes!!!
How about the title today…..NO STAMPS NEEDED! – That is because we are going to be focusing on how the envelope punch board with make you some FUN and ADORABLE POPPERS from a 6” X 6” piece of paper!
The 1st reason I say WOOT-WOOT is that our paper stacks are 6” X 6” and I know that many of you scratch your head as what to do with the papers in the stack that are either not your favorite or simply what to do with DSP that seems to GROW and GROW with your obsession!
Again, no falling off your chair….I have a video for you! Enjoy going to the movies with me and then please do not hesitate to email me if you need help and/or feel free to leave me a comment!
Hopefully the video helps but here is some “SCOOP” for you that you can print off!
For the Popper:
- With a 6” X 6” piece of paper, cut it at 4 ½”
- With the scoring board and the short side at the top, score at 1”,2”,3” &4”
- Fold on score lines (I would also use the bone folder)
- Pull out your must have Envelope Punch Board and line up (using the long 6” side) and put the edge at 1” mark…PUNCH – then flip the paper over and place that back at the 1” mark and PUNCH.
- Fold down to the next score line and do the same….go to 1” PUNCH – FLIP – Punch and do it again until you have completed all folds.
- Using a piece of Tear and Tape, place it of the ½” piece in the middle – fold over to seal.
- Use a glue dot on each end to secure.
- Pinch in the sides and tie a piece of ribbon!
To make the Belly Band:
- Take a piece of scrap paper 2” X 4 ¾” and score with the Stampin’ Trimmer just a “smidge” larger than 1” (but not to the 1 1/8” mark)….do this on every inch!
- Take the scored piece and using the Simply Scored, score at 1/8” on each side twice….(you’ll end up with (2) vertical lines on each side.
- Place a small piece of Tear and Tape on the ¾” piece and then wrap around the adore POPPER…..stand back and SMILE –
YOU DID IT and I JUST KNOW YOU ARE SMILING!
Now let me share some exact measurements for you to make sense out of yesterdays post on how to make the simple liner for the square envelope!
- Using the measurements that are on the punch board to make the envelope to fit a 4 ½” card….go to town and make the envelope – SMILE again because it really is easy….right!?!?!
- Take a ruler from the point (at the top of the envelope flap) to the side (of where the flap folds down) and remember that measurement = it is 3 3/4"
- Take off ¼” from the measurement that you are remembering and cut a square = 3 1/2". Easy right….
- Take this square and take it to the envelope punch board and go 1/8” smaller than your square size = 3 3/8" …..PUNCH….
- FLIP OVER the square and place it right back to the same measurement = 3 3/8" ….PUNCH and you are DONE!
- Place adhesive and SMILE!
Again, I will do the next video on envelopes, as you know that I like my envelopes as much as I do making cards!
Please pop back tomorrow; as you will see something super cute that is going to go with the POPPER that you saw a sneak peek on in the video! Enjoy the day, feel free to email me and many thanks for POPPING in!

Great video! Love the belly band! Thank you for sharing how to make these poppers!
Fun project ! I like to make those cute bows with my Envelope Punch Board too. Also I have some of that new Envelope Paper that I have not used yet ….Thank you for helping us that have math anxiety (giggle)! Love your videos !
You are doing such a wonderful job on the videos. It seems you have been doing them for years. Love the “poppers”. I think I will make and fill them for the ladies at the next card class. Thanks for making the instructions so clear and easy to follow. Already looking forward to what you have to show us next.
I am just loving your videos, Susan! They are very informative and clear. I have always felt your directions on your blog are easy to follow, but it is even better to watch you as you instruct us. Thanks so much, looking forward to more videos.
Great job on the video! Keep em coming!
Great job with the video Susan! And love how you made making poppers so simple. I always wanted to make one but felt challenged :(. A visual was perfect! Thanks for all you do!
Very cute…I enjoy everyone of your posts, but I don’t comment much. I will say that anyone who doesn’t have this envelope punch board needs one. I was hesitant about whether or not I would use it much and I have to say this tool was so liberating….now I don’t feel confined to any one specific size card…I absolutely cherish this tool. BTW, I stumbled onto a You Tube video on how to make the paper bows using this punch board…I know you have a new punch for the bows and there are many new dies out there for making them, but this punch board can also be used for making bows. Check it out. TFS your talent…I really love your cards…so my style.
Awesome video Susan! You are a natural. You are so relaxed, calm, informative and an educator. You make me feel like I’m sitting right there with you and that makes me so appreciative of your video. You’re “Poppers” are so cute the “Snip’n Sisters” have found their Monday Challenge for sure! You get the “Gold Star” for the day.
Love your video! These boxes are so adorable and can’t wait to make them. Your directions are so clear and easy to follow…thanks, Susan. On vacation right now (Disney) but I am trying to check in on your blog daily. Enjoy your day and have some stamp’n fun!

Loved the project Susan! You are a natural on videos!
Susan, not only are these poppers adorable, but your video is fantastic! What a fun project, and using that extra piece of 6×6 paper to make the envelope flap is awesome. One could make a matching card and envelope to go with the popper! Thanks so much for the great inspiration. I’m going to give this a try! Hope you are still mending well and not having to scoot around on that cute little bike. 🙂
Susan, awesome video! I remember one of your goals was to make videos and you have met AND exceed that goal in my book. You are a great instructor and I love your sharing of creativity and family. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to more videos!
I agree with everyone that your video was very well done. It was so easy to follow, and you are a pleasure to listen to. I tried the poppers and will definitely do them for all the different fun holidays that are coming up. Loved using the envelope board. Thanks for giving such clear instructions.

Susan…your videos are fabulous! You are doing a wonderful job speaking slowly and clearly and showing your projects from every angle. You can give yourself a big pat on the back for the time you have put into each one. I have always loved your posts, and I believe we swapped at convention- Heartfelt Sympathy from a beautiful lady with a knee cart? Thanks for the inspiration! Cindy Brumbaugh

I have only one thing to say…”You Go, Girl!”
Okay…I couldn’t limit myself to just one thing to say. :). Not only was your project adorable, but Hannah and her friends will never forget the heartfelt sentiments you put inside their Popper. What a fantastic treat to start out their Senior year of college!
Susan, you did a great job. I am so proud of you. I almost missed this one . I had so many email from vacation. I think the girls are going to love them. I love the idea that you can do other things with the envelope punch board. The poppers are great. Thank you so very much for taking the time to show us how to do this. You are amazing. Hugs, Ellen Hinds

The video was great! I think you already have the “hang of it” and you will become more comfortable over time. I love the project. It goes on my list of things to make for the church holiday fair. And it is a great way to use some of those papers that aren’t my favorites that someone else may love.
