I know that these Tootsie Pops have been around before but I think that they are soooo darn tootin' cute that it brought back! I have so many great memories of doing things like this with my children!
The best thing is that I STILL LOVE TO MAKE THEM...and I still send things like this to my adult children and they always call to thank me for the memories and then naturally I have my moment to say….do you remember when you were a Pumpkin for Halloween…..
(Do you remember making the ghosts out of kleenex)!!! Well, I admit, I love tootsie rolls and tootsie pops! Making them into an adorable broom is so cute at this time of the year but I thought that they needed a little "box" to stand on so they would be straight!
I have made a video for you so you can see me make one – I adore making these each and every year – they always bring a huge smile to my face….so do not wait – get started now and remember, break it into steps!
I have LOTS of pictures for you with tips and tricks but please feel free to email me if I can be of help to you! They are so fun and I will say they get addictive to make! Let's start with the box!
I did use the smallest circle framelit to cut out the middle but if you do not have that or want to save time…just put a couple of glue dots on the bottom of the tootsie pop….works like a charm!
In the picture below you can see the little box! (I think a little Elephant should be standing on it) I like the fact that the coffee filter drapes over it to hide it!
Now let's get the making the broom…so easy and so cute! Again, please feel free to email me if you need further help!
To me, the key adhesive are the glue dots for this project…these little gems are easy to tuck in and with using the piercing tool…it makes it easy!
Thanks for popping in today and I hope that you go to the store and purchase some lollipops and try this! I am sure that whomever is lucky enough to get this broom will be a happy camper!
Remember, shopping in your jammies is FUN…..Click here and smile!
Until tomorrow….but please do not forget to check out the weekly deals…..I will be sooo confused this week with the holiday – click here to see the goodies!
p.s. – go and pop into the clearance section – there are some great finds that you could use for Halloween Projects….like the Tangelo Twist Ribbon and the White and Tangerine Tango Thick Twine would be perfect to use with this project!

Loved seeing the little brooms again. They will look so cute on a holiday table. I also like Tootsie pops. It is my favorite treat at the movies.
Maybe I am just missing it but I do not see a video, Susan. Am I overlooking it?
I have never seen these! But I plan to make a few (dozen!) for this year! Thanks for sharing!
These are so adorable and bring back such fun memories! Love the idea of the box for them to stand straight and tall. Great job, Susan!
Great video, Susan! Thank you?. I would like to make them for my students too.
I do not know if I have ever seen the natural coffee filters. Usually I see white ones. Are they easily found?
Cute idea. Thanks for the video.
These are adorable! You’re so creative!! I will have to give them a try; this would be a fun treat to give to the kids in Caleb’s class. Please give Eddie our love. Hugs to you!
Maybe it is just as well we don’t live closer – we would be fighting over the raspberry ones if we made these together! Loved the video. Oh horrors – I could just see the black ink on your table top especially at the end when you are brushing the air with the sponge brush! That is such a good idea though. Maybe I could save up the RX bottles that have your name etc. on and then just swipe the label with the brush rather than blacking it out with the marker. It would be much easier on a round bottle.
Anyway, I love these little brooms. Wouldn’t a box of these be so fun to send with your broom card you made previously? Would used coffee filters look too gross? I just might have to play around. You are going to make a Halloween person out of me yet! These look so much fun to make and I LOOOOVE Tootsie Pops esp. the raspberry ones! Oh and I agree the little platform box shape to make them stand up is a great idea!
I agree my friend, they are just adorable on a table! You did not loose your mind…the video link was not on the blog post when you first popped on….it is there now!
Make them…make them – they will make you smile, instantly!
Thanks Mary Ann…The little box does help – I just keep thinking about an elephant when I make the box!
Yep…the coffee filters are in the same isle as the white ones….you will have plenty of witch brooms for years!
Thanks…sorry about the blooper! I hope that you make them – super fun!
Caleb and his friends will love them! They would be a fun project for the 2 of you do together…
If we lived closer I would give you every Raspberry Toosie Pop in the world. That would be simply the BEST!!!
This is a first for me and wanted to tell you they are soooo cute and Susan simple! Thank you again for sharing this!
