Happy Weekend! My "joy" tank is on FULL and hopefully tomorrow I can share with you why? Please keep you fingers crossed that something wonderful will happen to a very, very special person in my life, my late Mom's dear friend…..I think that it is going to happen – you'll have to pop back to see!
I usually do not try to share with you a card that uses (3) different stamp sets…but to me all three of these are so basic, classic…totally timeless! They are Acorny Thank You, Vintage Leaves and Cottage Greetings.
The foundation of the card is both basic and classic but you can easily change up the sentiment to make it work for your needs!
You can see with the products below what I used and tomorrow I will share with you the recipe with the "stepped up version"
The overall card size is the good old A-2 Very Vanilla and the fun….you can see how quick and easy this is and then you can clearly see that with a change of sentiments…..you are good to go with many different cards!
I hope that you pop back tomorrow to see how I made some changes to make it…..step up – well just a bit!
Today our house is on overload – John is home (and oh so happy to be home) and we are getting ready to have his firm over (70+) for an afternoon of fun….games…swimming – a good old whiffle ball game….and great food – needless to say a busy and fun time!
My fingers and toes are crosses that I can share some JOY with you…..my heart is pitter pattering and I hope it happens….if not – we have a PLAN B~
Beautiful card. Have fun today wish I could join the activities. Hope Eddie is going well today.
LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
Great card! How in the world are you going to “step it up”? Love it! Have a SUPER fun day! It is so great of you and John to provide a day of fun for all
Love the card since I love Fall and the changing colors of the leaves. I hope you enjoy your time with John’s co-workers; its so thoughtful and generous of you to throw a party! Please give Eddie some extra lovin’ from his #1 Wisconsin Fans. My fingers are crossed!
Great Autumn card! Love the rich colors and layout. Have a fun-filled day with the “small” gathering of friends and co-workers and keeping my fingers crossed for your mom’s friend!
… yes Susan … all of the above. Great card. Hope your joy comes to fruition and have a great day with your party.
🙂
Susan, What a pretty card. You are so amazing. You are right all three sets work so beautifully. I can not figure out how you are going to top this card. Please give Eddie some love. I hope you have a wonderful day with all of your company. Can I come too(lol). I am keeping my fingers crossed for your Mom’s friend too. Ellen Hinds
My question, does Eddie like the whiffle ball too? That might make for an interesting game!
Cute card! I am thinking maybe some linen thread or the burlap threads tied to the acorn maybe? A bit too much background so I am thinking a mat or some embossing folder? The little banner maybe has a strip of paper on it or something to spice it up a bit? What we need is a dreaded squirrel on there or the envelope front! We have some squirrels that are biting into the good parts of tree limbs and killing some of the little trees off. They weaken the branches and break off in the wind. One thought he was taking Teddy on and Ted gave him one big AWHOOO basset hound sound and it took off.
Enjoy your party and remember to let your leg rest a little now and then! Good thoughts for your mom’s friend.
The anticipation is killing me!!! Fingers and toes crossed and may just have to stay up late to be the first to “hear” the god news! 🙂
Have a wonderful day!
Oh, and now you make me want the acorn punch!!! Love the beauty and simplicity of this fall card!
Hi Susan….you have got me wondering what in the world you are hoping will happen today! Good grief, now I’m sitting on the edge of my chair and can’t wait to read about it tomorrow! Like a suspense story about to unravel…..Super cute autumn card, and so what if you used 3 stamp sets, it’s the end results that matter and this card Matters! Love what you did today! Have a fun party today, you certainly have a great day for it~
Love this card ! I also love mixing stamp sets ! I like your burlap looking background that you have today ! This is my favorite time of year and leaves and acorns and apples Oh My!

Fun and festive card. Your picnic sounds like fun! I wonder if Eddie will run away with the game ball 🙂
Love the leaves and can’t wait to see the stepped up version.
