This challenge really had me thinking…..actually scratching my head is a better statement! I hope that you will pop over to the Pals Paper Art Website and “take in” what all of the amazing designers came up with! They are wonderful!
The sketch was created by a fellow PAL, Maggie Mata…she rocked the sketch this week to make us really work out of our comfort zone….you know me, Miss Clean and Simple and I was STUMPED but then I think I made it work!
This was the card that I gave to my friend for her 50th that a bunch of us celebrated 2 weekends ago! I think that this layout can be adapted for many occasions with many different stamps!
This is one that I would definitely say – BUY THE BUNDLE!!!! The automatic 15% off is worth it but this stamp set and die are AMAZING and they are super HOT….so much that they are running low on inventory but have no fear – there are more in the horizon!
The left folded piece was fun to do. I scored the paper but then also scored it to hold it against the white embossed piece and adhering it with the Fast Fuse was really fast! I did a super quick fussy cut around the words and matted them in the Mint Macaroon.
Darn I adore that white gel pen…does the trick every time! For the letters I used the white craft foam that I shared with you last week. It works great with dies and I love the height that it gives….super easy!
The other reason that you need this Bundle is that the sentiment for the inside is BINGO! I loved that Stampin’ Up! gave us a perfect sentiment but that “swoosh” – LOVE IT.….the perfect touch!
Are you smiling? This is a fun card and with this new Paper Stack, It’s My Party….is a PERFECT pack of paper that you will use ALL YEAR LONG! Fun, Fresh and Festive! I adore that they are in the 12 x 12 size as you can use it in many ways….even with the basket die….wouldn’t that be super cute!
Below you will see the goodies that I used for this card! The colors are FUN…the textures are FUN…..it is just a FUN CARD! Please CASE this card…it was a stretch for me but I know that YOU CAN DO IT!

So sorry about your dog! Brought tears to my eyes! Quick question when you have a minute…. how do you make those numbers so huge??
Awesome, unique card! Love the colors and the front fold and how you did the numbers! I was thinking of you all day yesterday. Hugs and squeezes!
Such an awesome, fun card! I love all the textures you used with the scoring and embossing folder. I agree that Maggie came up with a rockin’ sketch but you completely took it and ran with it! Home run.
I told everyone at work yesterday about Norman and they all asked I let you know they are thinking of your family. Sending all our love and lots of hugs your way. 🙂
Interesting sketch. I looked at the others and I had to smile – I thought of the sun rays or what it is poking out and there was a card like that. Then, I saw some others that were shown like just the circle of cardstock and then a DP for the other. But, I really thought yours with the flap was pretty cool! I guess I am starting to think about these a bit but still not quite ready to play. The scoring is fun too.and the embossed circles as well. Great job. I bet your friend loved the card even if she was turning 50!
I have been thinking about you a lot both about Norman and that storm that is heading your way. Stay safe and warm. Hugs to all!
SUCH a fun card! Thanks, Susan!
Great adaptation from the sketch. I really like the swoosh idea under the sentiment. It helps ground the greeting. I’m going to remember that! Thanks!
I love the fussy cutting around the words. That is what really drew my attention to start with, then of course the foam under the letters. I tried it last week or so and loved how it came out! Thank you for that.
Love this card!
What a fun take on the sketch Susan! Love the flap.
I get so disoriented doing a card with a diagonal feature. You knocked this put of the park. Love the way it opens to the 50.
This card is RIDICULOUSLY amazing, Susan! I absolutely love how you’ve used Maggie’s sketch to make this totally-out-of-the-box card. LOVE!
Genius….absolute genius card! Love how you interpreted the sketch! Beautifully done!
Cute card, Susan! I love the flap!
Another Simple Stampin’ masterpiece. Absolutely gorgeous details.
I love this card and will definitely be casing in. You are always so creative!
Love love love your card!! What a great idea!!
