Good Morning….sad news…Hannah and I went bowling on Friday night with a bunch of FUN people from the barn – it was FUN until the middle of the night….she had food poisoning and was not able to compete along with 4 others from the barn 🙁 I texted Tom at 5 a.m. and he said I was the 3rd that texted him…same thing – as Hannah says…..don’t eat pepperoni pizza from a Bowling Alley! I had the cheese and was fine!
She is rallying and hopefully good to go today to ride…. as she flies back to school today. Milo was the best nurse for her yesterday and when she was napping, I took a long bike ride – the weather was beautiful!
I am sooooooo glad that many of you loved the card yesterday! He is just too darn cute….you simply cannot go wrong with either one as after all – he steals the show! Think out of the box and you can easily use him for a baby card….(I’m doing that this week)
I basically did the same thing as yesterday but I let the Soft Sky be the focal color and used the square framelit to POP out a square and then stamped our little friend inside the square. The coloring is the same today – why change it ~ it works!
I also used the simply scored (something that I do often as it is so easy yet effective) and made (3) embossed lines on all 4 sides! Isn’t it amazing at how you can do something as simple as this but it gives a GREAT effect!
The other FUN FACTOR I did was the simple “fru-fru” in the corner! This is a super fun and easy way to “jazz” up a card and so simple! On Tuesday, I blogged about using Bees wax when using Bakers Twine. I hope that you try it as it is so easy and effective! In the below picture you can see it again! A great secret weapon!
You still have time to order this little gem – and with cards this easy…..it is a no brainer – simple works! As I said yesterday…..you can go ahead and put the card together and then once the stamp arrives….just pop it into place and you know what? You will smile! 🙂
I would be super proud to send this card out (and I intend to do so) as it is so classic! I am not sure which one I will make up in masses…I will let you help me….which one do you like! You are my BEST CRYSTAL BALL…and I value your comments and opinions!
I am going to try to SNEAK IN another post today, depending on how Hannah is etc….I feel so bad for her but she is a true trooper – she even went to the show yesterday….got on Stanley and rode a bit….came back and said, I just do not feel safe for me and Stanley….it truly is not worth taking a chance…..what a great young lady!
Until later….or tomorrow!!!!
I adore this card – both versions are just the best! So sorry that Hannah is not feeling well and hope today is much better for her. She was smart to decide to be safe rather than sorry. Safe travels for her today as well.
AWWWW sorry Hannah got sick ! Hopefully she has a good flight back so she can snooze .
Plus she had Milo to be her “doctor in house” so she was bound to snap back fairly quickly . I tell you these Doxies are like NANA in Peter Pan !!
Your little lamb is precious and that Soft Sky is perfect for the color addition.(love it) . This is a good “keeper” card for a few occasions that you want that sweet and simple image .
Love the scoring ….I forget to do that and I just bought new scoring doozies for my trimmer and I have my Scoreboard !! That will be my project for today !!
I Adore both cards, but the stepped up version really Speaks to me! So Sweet! So sorry for Hannah too, praying she feels so much better today! Hugs~
So sorry to hear Hannah was sick…food poisoning, yuk! Sounds like Dr. Milo is the best medicine. Hopefully she will feel better today and can rest on her travel back to school. Love the score lines on today’s card….both cards are great!
Wow, wow, wow and kudos on this awesome card. Big smile on this end…. I love seeing you pull together a card with the combinations you use. Always a treat!!
Sorry Hannah and others were sick. Hopefully all on the mend and feeling better today. I find it difficult to have my daughter leave after our time together (precious time and memories made) thinking that may be the same for you. Keep your chin up!! ? Glad Milo will be there for you too!!
This is a case were it is a tie. Both cards are winners. I would let who I was sending them to decide which version they would receive. Some people like “less is more”. So sorry about Hannah and the others. I had heard never eat sushi from a gas station, but I will now remember bowling alleys and pizza. Hope the rest of the weekend is good for everyone.
I feel so bad for Hannah and the others. Hope she feels better today. This super sweet card could say feel better sooner and bring a smile to her face. I love them both but this stepped up version adds more textures that call my name. Have a good day to complete your time with Hannah.
I too love both cards but the extra color and “fru-fru” get my vote today. I hope Hannah & friends are feeling better by now…I had food poisoning once and it was awful!
Blessings to all!!
This little lamb is sooo adorable! I love the embossed lines on the soft sky. I think you need a real lamb (or tow) to add to your farm animals. Too cute!!!
Poor Hannah!!!! I hope she feels better today and gets to ride. Have fun and COME HOME SOON!!!! I miss you!
Both cards are so cute, but I think I go with today’s as my favorite. I just love that big Soft Sky mat and the scoring on it just sent it over the top! Plus the fru-fru – love that little pop of pink. Speaking of pink, hope Hannah is back in the pink of things and feels better soon and has a safe trip home without any incidents. I agree with Jeanie, you need a lamb or two to keep Miss Daisey company. Did John ever get his chickens?
Poor Hannah, that’s aweful news. I hope she is feeling better by now. Today’s card is my favorite, but I love them both! I love the frame on today’s card and the added score lines and fru-fru are an added bonus.
Both cards are so sweet, the changes and added detail today makes your card rock! Hope everyone continues to feel better and safe travels to all.
Food poisoning-YUCK!!! Wishing Hannah a full recovery and a happier heart for you, Susan. Love both cards but especially love today’s with the square, scoring and fru-fru. So enjoy your Sat./Sun. designs!
So sorry to hear about the food poisoning. Horrible stuff!! Your two cards are just adorable. If forced to choose will pick today’s card. The blue cardstock just makes that sweet lamb pop off the card!!
Today’s! (Hope Hannah is on the mend.)
I’ll vote for today’s card with the extras on it. I love the scoring and fru-fru, plus Soft Sky is my favorite color. I hope Hannah was feeling well enough to fly back to school without any trouble. Take care.
Love your card!!! I also love how you tied the ribbon. It makes a big impact. Soft sky is one of my favorite colors. Would you mind sharing the size of the card you made?
adorable!
