Are you ready for a fun, FUN card….well I sure hope that this brings a HUGE smile to your face and I think that this festive and fun card is a keeper! The little touch of a black mat makes the card POP….
When you get down to it…a great, clean and fun card can come from 3 simple things…PAPER, STAMPS and INK! This is exactly what you are seeing today!
You friend for this card is a ruler and the stamp- a- ma -jig Now I know that many of you do not need it…and I say – hat’s off to you….I need it as it is a security blanket for me!
All I did was draw lines (slightly every 3/4″ ) and then used this YUMMY color scheme to have FUN with the simple “circle/dot” that is in the work of art stamp set! The other keeper stamp set, Sassy Salutations ( 😥 he’s walking off the plank)
FUN….right?????? I need to go down memory lane…Sassy Salutations has been around ever since I have been a SUD and I must say….I love it as much today as I did when I bought it – I adore the fun and whimsical font.
Again, another card that you can use an ENDLESS amount of color combinations and an instant FUN card. This would be a great card to make up in a bunch of colors to gift as a gift, anyone would love to receive it.
These 2 pictures will show you how to have fun with your envelopes….fast, easy and effective! Below you will see the color combinations that I used….if I were you I would save this and use it for a future card. Isn’t it a great combo?
Here is one more look for you….could you see yourself making this? How about sharing some fun and unique color combos? I had so much fun making this and it literately took minutes!
I am thinking of a good Blushing Bride…Smokey Slate and ?????? – HELP anyone……and let’s com up with a great purple combo, we forget about purple!
Thanks for popping in….here are your 3 friends – they told me that some of their “other friends” have left the group as they are selling out. Remember the stamps will be available for a couple more weeks but the “everything else” as WHILE SUPPLIES LAST…..don’t be sad 😥 , order today! 🙂
Cute card, Susan, which made me smile. I love the large dots in those colors. Great job with the stamp a ma jig. The black border really makes it pop.
LOVE this card….How cute would reds and greens be for those Christmas Gift thank you’s…….You are the best! Thanks for all that you do!
What a super fun and cute card!!
Definitely a smile card Susan! Colors are nice. I thought you used a dauber for the dots, but I love the stamp so much better for even pressure and stamping.
I think Perfect Plum would be great with Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate.
Have a great day.
🙂
That is a great idea to use the dot from Work of Art!! I love the affect and the color combo. I like Nancy’s idea of adding Perfect Plum to your combo. I also thought Wisteria Wonder, Perfect Plum and Rich Razzleberry might work for a total purple combo.
Thanks for the fun card and inspiration 🙂
Fun, fun, fun! Great card and idea! Love the colors as well. How about Wisteria Wonder with Blushing Bride.
Love the card wish you would do a video since I’m new at this.
Great card
Terese
I LOVE the whimsicalness (is that a word?) of this card!
Here is a quote from Kandinsky I was trying to remember when I saw polka dots,. ” Everything starts from a dot.” I think that is so fun and makes you think a bit! No I am not going all philosophical on you, just broaden my horizons a bit and a remember when type deal. I saw this at an art exhibit of Kandinsky’s in Paris a zillion years ago.
Oh the color combinations we could make. I love the idea of the red and green for a Christmas thank you card. Even a soft yellow would be pretty with the Smokey Slate and Blushing Bride. This is a fun card the more I think about it. I like the Work of Art set and wish I would use it more to produce some great stuff. I tried a snowman at Christmas but I think he needed a little bit more help.
Oh Susan you know how reluctant I have been about the envelope punch board – well, last night at card night we used it to make a card that looks like a mini file folder. thank goodness I had help with trimming it but it turned out pretty cute. Who knows, I may have to break down and get that little piece of plastic to play with!
Such a fun card! I too have enjoyed the Sassy Salutations set for a long time and am sad to see it go. Will definitely give this card a try!
I LOVE this card. I really like Deb’s idea of red & green for Christmas!!!
Well, how cute! I’d never have thought to stamp dots and sentiments like that! It’s a fun card and sure does make me smile! (Guess we could punch circles from DSP in our theme to use it up!)
I love these colors! I struggle using circles on my cards but you just whip them into shape and make the beg for mercy!
Susan, I would never have thought to put those colors together, and I love the look! Such a versatile design! Can’t wait to play with it.
Love this card, it’s so fresh looking!
I’m thinking Blushing Bride, Smokey Slate and Rose Red would be a good combo.
Susan I really like this card….you know, I believe it is the first time I have seen the Cucumber crush used by any demonstrator. No one uses this color much, but it looks really good on this card.
I also think that Perfect Plum, Wisteria Wonder and Tip Top Taupe would be nice or Pear Pizzaz.
Lovely and fun card! This is the first time I think I’ve seen someone really use the cucumber in a pleasing way. I dislike last years in colors as a group, but they are fine colors to use just as any color on the wheel. You even managed to harmonize the cucumber and mint — no small feat– by treating colors as individual colors, not as a set.
