New week…new inspiration…I have some FUN cards for you and I have some FUN cards using the 1″ square…and we are kicking the week off with a card that has a sentiment that is a true blue keeper in my eyes….works for me…how about YOU? We all deserve to have happiness π
“do more of what makes you happy”
Cards like this have a WOW factor but it is so ridiculously easy…when you break it down and have tools like this 1″ punch to get the job done! To make the 1″ squares line up easily…start with a piece of 4″ X 4″ paper and then use your “green glue” to add the squares…you have the best of both worlds…perfect placement.
I forgot to put in the line up that I used the aqua painter and bermuda bay ink to add some color to the hearts. Because you are using just a wee bit of water, no need to worry if the paper would be too thin.
The sentiment came to life with the help of heat embossing….using the white embossing powder and the heat tool. The fun factor is just as strong as the first time that I did this technique.
A real fast and fun fussy cut is a unique and whimsical way to go! I matted it on white and did the same thing before POPPING it up with dimensionals.
Let’s chat about a product that I have not used a bunch but I will say….if you have some…give it a try. I am talking about the envelope paper. I admit, I do not think that I use it a bunch as I visually see my paper (card stock) right at my work area but I am trying to use up product and I was happily surprised that it is a dream machine to work with!
I truly thought by “feel” that is was too thin to make a great envelope, but I was wrong. Following the instructions on the envelope punch board made it easy to create….I added some of the jazzed up DSP on the back and BAM….a great envelope!
You can see that I also used (2) accent products which I think look great! They are the Itty Bitty Accents Punch and the White Perfect Accents ~ little accents that make a statement.
Here is your 411 of the card. I use this layout often and it never gets tiring because you are always using different papers…different sentiments…therefore a NEW CARD!
I am excited for you to try these fun layouts that I will be sharing with you this week with the 1″ square punch. Tips and tricks always make creating fun and I love to share with you different ways that this can be accomplished!
Starting with the 4″ X 4″ square is the key to make this….please give it a try…another great way to USE UP THAT DSP….because you are going to be picking up your jaw with the new papers coming out! π
Enjoy this cute image…our Amigos will be with us and make sure that you check back often to see if things have been discounted deeper and I will also try to give you “heads up” if I hear of changes…each and everyday is bring us closer to the new catalog…trust me, I am as excited as you are for it!
Enjoy the day and lets have a great week! I will be doing some traveling so it is a busy one but I do not think that you will be disapointed in this weeks posts! I think that they are fun and fresh! Until tomorrow!

Good Morning! Love the sentiment and the color contrast. I do like the placing of pieces and these 1″ squares are right up my ally. Can’t wait to see what else you can do with them this week.
Have a great trip.

Love your pic of the three amigos…made me chuckle! Your placement of the squares came out very nice and color is so bright and cheerful! Great way to use up DSP and definitely a keeper. Safe travels, my friend!
I love everything about today’s card. Your three amigos were creative. Have a safe and fun trip. π
I tend to avoid those big word stamps b/c I don’t know what to do with them but this is a great way to use them and the total card is super cute! Thanks for the idea. (Smiled at the three amigos too!). Be safe.
Really cute, fun, colorful card with a great sentiment, Susan. I always love your tips. I’m with the other posters that the Three Amigos made me smile. I just love your positive attitude. Smooth sailing!
Love love love inch square cards ….my favorite card to make ! Your sentiment is one that I have wanted ,but put on the back burner every time. Gotta try your example here with using it (I love it too ) on “squares” cards !
Enjoy your travel !!
Great card and love the idea of having a week’s focus on one product. Great way to help customers see the value in SU’s items. Safe travels!
Fun card and I love the hearts added and the ones colored in! Just so fun and unexpected to have that great big sentiment in the middle! Love it! Of course I love the little enamel dots or whatever they are made of! Just a great perky card to start off the week! Safe travels my friend!
