Good Morning and today I have for you a SUPER SIMPLE card that still carries a WOW....and just look – no stamping on the front of the card…be you can clearly see that this is so simple, so affordable and pop back tomorrow for the dimensions and then best thing ~ you can make it too!
The whole magic of this simple card is the little embossing folder! When you purchase it, you actually get (2) little ones but they are adorable! What a great little POP of texture.
I will say, I used the new platform for the Big Shot and WOW, it gives such an easy “pressure” that really makes the embossing stand out and I adore not having to “flip the tabs” from the old one. FYI….all Big Shots that are purchased from now….come with this new platform so there is no need for you to purchase it.
Enjoy the pictures below, you can clearly see the clean and simple lines of this card and the color – how can you not smile with yellow! 🙂
I just love paper, as layers of paper just add so much to card making. When I showed my best critic, John ~ he immediately said – do nothing else – I love it! I listened but now you will have to pop back tomorrow to see how I made some simple changes to step it up a bit.
The scoring of the mat layer of Daffodil Delight really helped bring the embossed floral part POP. Isn’t it funny how just paper can produce such a classic card! This would be one to make up in masses and then add the appropriate sentiment when you needed a card.
I simply stamped the inside of the card with what I stamped on the outside of the envelope. “Sending a smile your way” from the Love & Affection Stamp Set. THe fun DOT PAPER is from the Brights DSP Paper Stack!
I know that you all love to hear about my fur babies….below you will see sweet Jack – I think that he is in denial that he can fit into Rosie’s bed. Usually he does not come up to my work area but I turned around and saw him all snuggled in (well I guess he is comfortable) and I had to take a picture! Too cute!
I hope that you d not feel that this card is to “plain Jane” – (sorry if you name is Jane….but I think that you will get it) – BUT….using simple tools like this simple embossing folders work….less is best!
Let’s have a great weekend….John and I are up for Boot Camp at 6:30 and then off to do one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES, picking blueberries! We LOVE blueberries and there is nothing like going in the country and picking them fresh! See you in the morning!
We are into our last week of the deal of the year, the ultimate bundle for just $99 and you can get ANY (2) Stamp Sets your little heart desires – it is as simple as that! Promise….email me if you have any questions!

This is a STUNNING card – I just love it and cannot wait for the dimensions and details. And Jack is absolutely ADORBS! Let me know if he ever needs a babysitter!!
I love this card! Nice clean lines and very appealing to the eye! Thank you so much for your inspiration. As Deb said, I’m looking forward to the dimensions and details too.
Susan, as John said do nothing it is perfect just as it is. I am looking forward to he measurements tomorrow. Jack is so adorable. I love to here about your fur babies. Have fun picking blueberries.❤️Ellen Hinds
Great card. There is a reason why the classics always work. The polk-a-dots on the envelope are the perfect accent. Although I love this card, I am looking forward to seeing tomorrows.
This is the perfect card! I don’t know why, but it brings back memories of old-fashion picnics and sitting on grandma’s front porch. Must be that gorgeous yellow!
Elegant Ethel, Classy Clara, Stunning Susan! These are the names for this beautiful card. Great job and your hubby has a good eye too. Love the pick of Jack…so huggable and sweet! Blueberries are the best…enjoy your fun day!
What a beautiful classic card. I love the flower embossing folder by itself. Stunning! Have a great day picking blueberries. There’s nothing like fresh blueberries you pick yourself! Love Jack’s picture.
Hi Susan, Oh I do love this card. The first word that popped into my mind when I scrolled down was “beautiful”. I love the yellows we have. I hope you had a great day picking the blueberries. It is a beautiful day here on Long Island.
🙂 <3
This is a beautiful card. So simple but so classy. Love it
Ooooolala…I love this card!!! Yellow is my favorite color! I will be CASing for sure!
( I LOVE blueberrries too! Hint hint! LOL)
Elegant and classic card today. Who knew only embossing would make such a beautiful card. It is definitely not too simple or plain.
Card club is next week and I am ordering the embossing folder. I had better make sure I have the polka dotted paper in the Daffodil color as I am going to CASE this for sure! Once I have the measurements. I have no idea of how you will step this up since it is already perfect. Though I think green is my favorite color, yellow seems to sneak in and capture my attention. My first apartment I did the little kitchenette in yellow gingham. Not only is the card perfect so is the envelope! Blueberries are wonderful with a touch of yellow lemon! It is so hot here and muggy – my neighbors asked if I wanted to go pick blackberries with them. I had only been standing in the shade for 15 minutes talking and I was so damp I had to go home and change my underwear. I know too much information! But, as much as I love blackberries – no way could I stand the heat and humidity.
Love love this card ! Yes, yellow is a smile to me too ! I really like Daffodil Delight (that is an understatement )
I have these EF on that super long list of mine . Also thanks for the input on the new platform I am just about convinced that I NEED it !!
Yum ….fresh Blueberries ! Always better !
Wow!!!!!! Stunning!!! Brought a smile to my face right away. I can picture it in different colors too. ?
love your yellow card Susan.
WOW!! Such a gorgeous card, Susan! It’s stunning, and think this would make a beautiful card for any occasion…including Sympathy. Jack’s picture brought a smile to our faces here. Hope you and John had a fun day together. Hugs!
P.S. I just made my mother-in-law a birthday card yesterday and it was all yellow (daffodil delight and so saffron) and I loved how it turned out, too. It was so bright and cheerful!
Love this look! Lovely color choice! Could you share your measurements so I could case this card and get it correct the 1st time. I always enjoy your upbeat positive” you can do it” videos. Thank you for sharing your talents.
