A baby always touches your heart strings…and it is super fun to make a special card in the celebration! Last weekend when Hannah was home, she shared with me that a co-worker was getting ready to have a baby and they knew that it was going to be a girl!
Naturally…..I HOPPED ON IT and said, “Can I make you a card?” – I was so excited as I admit, I broke down and purchased this ADORABLE stamp set, Made with Love because of the sweey sample that was in the catalog (page 59). I knew that I wanted to CASE this card and thanks to Hannah’s friend having a baby…you get to see it for this 2 day post!
This stamp set goes with the Baby’s First Framelit Dies and I admit, I have not used them as much as I thought I would when it first came out to coordinate with the Something for Baby Stamp Set…. but now…new story with this stamp set! 🙂
When we have the opportunity to have a set of die cuts that will help us make the “cutting process” not only easier but faster ~ I say, YES ~ sign me up! Remember, it is that time thing that gets us every time!
This has been around for a while and the shapes are classics! I do not know about you…but when I see a “onesie”, I smile with great memories of the PEEPS being BABY PEEPS!
I used the Crumb Cake, taking the lead from the sample in the catalog and I adore it! It has a very natural and clean feel to the card but the real FUN was the heat embossing!
When you look at the above picture of the stamp set, you will see that there are many small images…I ADORE when a stamp set has little classic images!
You can see that I used to the max the dots (go figure, I adore dots) and also the super sweet flower! I simply took the Blushing Bride marker to color in the “onesie stripes” and also the centers of the flowers!
Trying to let the embossing and the stamped images be the shining star, I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of paper ~ flagged the ends and PRESTO …a super cute card!
I ask you….when was the last time you used the heat tool and embossed? I admit, I forget about it as my heat tool is in a drawer and you know the saying, “Out of sight….Out of mind” but I will say I never, EVER get tired of Heat Embossing, it is a HANDS DOWN rewarding technique.
I hope to see you tomorrow…as I do have another version of this card~ I am excited to see how you like it and which one “suits your fancy” A new baby in the world deserves a fun and special card. I think that I have the baby cards that people sent to me when I had a baby (yikes, that was decades ago but I bet there is a box that has them), it is always a special time….and one that is always cherished as it is an amazing miracle!
Please do not forget that we are “IN THE TRENCHES” with the BONUS DAYS and with the heat we have been having, I say that it is much more fun and comfortable to stay inside, shop….stamp & be proud of yourself!
PLEASE remember to keep the email voucher that Stampin’ Up! sends you because there is no way for me to see your codes for you to redeem you $$$$$ off in August! I would suggest printing off the email or writing the codes down in your calendar to remind yourself! 😎

Your card is perfect! I can’t imagine a better card for tomorrow. Love all the dots and flowers intermingled among the onesie. And then your dots on the sentiment….perfect!
All I can say is I hope you come back and let me know….now don’t get too excited – they are subtle changes but definitely changes! Thanks for popping in!
I agree with the above comment…this card is perfect! The dots and flowers really make this a girlie card. Hannah’s friend will love it. Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s card. 🙂
Hey Tricia….don’t you just love the flowers and dots!!!!! Please have Caleb chime in to see which one he likes best! Hope you are feeling well!
Precious card. It will be adored for years to come. It makes it extra special knowing there will come a time the “baby” will probably hold your card and admire it also. ?
Now that is a wonderful thought….actually seeing the baby hold it – I sure hope she liked it!!!!
I just love baby cards and this one is definitely a cutie!! I am excited to see your stepped-up version for tomorrow 🙂
Thanks for the comment…I just hope that I make you smile tomorrow!
This is just the sweetest baby card. I had to laugh when you said the baby cards you received for your babies were stashed away. So are mine. I’m sure your card will be a keeper for the family with the new baby as well. Have a great Saturday.
I just KNEW that there would be others out there that hoard things like I do….it is sooooo hard to get rid of! Thanks for popping in!
Oh I like this card very much. Love the Crumb Cake color with the pink. Looks great!
🙂
I adore Crumb Cake…I use to use it all of the time and I admit I forget, but I do love the effect it gives! Hugs my friend!
Is this a cute card or what? Simple, clean, and so sweet in pink! Love it!!
I agree, I agree – so glad that you liked it! Babies are so sweet and they need a special card!
I totally missed this card example in the catalog. Of course, yours is better! Speaking of baby cards – whatever happened to baby announcements? I have a couple baby cards on hand if I need them from card classes. Otherwise, I am not big into the baby scene and only having four legged babies is not the same. Some how I doubt if Teddy would wear a onesie even if it had a dog on it or a teddy bear. I would need an extra long one as it is since he is a long dog! But, your cards if very cute and looking forward to the stepped up version – changed it to a boy card? Speaking of boys, oh boy, we have had the internet back on all day!
Teddy would have been adorable with a onsie on!!!! I did baby announcements for all of my peeps….and I agree – I hope that people carry that tradition . I am not one that shares a bunch of baby cards but I adore this stamp set…you will see it again and again!
