Good Morning and I know that you will all “get” and relate to what I am about to say…we need to have some “secret weapons” up our sleeves that we can whip up some cards in a jif and roll!
The next point I want to chat about it…..how is your washi tape doing?? Is it just sitting there??? – I know ~ I know, I have plenty of it as well but I will say that when I put it to use – I smile 🙂
The inspiration for this card came from a super talented SUP, Angie Juda. I do love her style and I often pop in to see what she is up to as she is like me….loves dogs and she also has a bird (which I think that is super fun) I have a pig, she has a bird and I think that we are both clean and simple stampers.
This is one of those card that looks so much better in person and it is also one that you can make in “mass amount’s” and it is just plain FUN to do! I whipped up a bunch of these to send to team members for a great quarter. I am just amazed at how often I reach for this stamp set….and I have yet to use it as it is intended to be used, in a kit (page 159) but on Wednesday….I am going to post about it (honestly, I am excited to play with it today)
There is not much to say other than tear the tape to your liking and then have fun with a adding a sentiment. I am lovin’ using the layering circles because of the scalloped ones and I think that the little dots around it, make it!
Here is a tip…..If you would like to make this card…I say do it in steps…so all of the cutting, then do all of the stamping, cut all of the paper and then plop it in a container with your washi tape and a pen….Just put it together while watching the Olympics, watching a ball game etc…
You could whip up a bunch in no time and then have them ready to use when you need them. I encourage you to try this method with a simple card and I know that you will be super happy to have one ready to go!
John and James went to play golf yesterday and I was going to shoot some videos only to have a neighbor that lives back behind use to hit a power line with a digger thing he had on his tractor…..OUT WENT our power for about 4 hours and when it came back on I read through the comments from the “Llama chatter” – and I ADORED THEM….
When I enjoy my coffee this morning, I will pop in and respond….it just brings such joy to read what you all write, we do have a special cyber thing going on……and I LOVE IT. I still pinch myself that I enjoy blogging so much but guess what – I enjoy out friendship and ideas MORE!

Good Morning Susan, Yes, very nice card. I am going to try it today with blues. I went to a party on Saturday and brought two SU Kits with me for seven of my nieces to play with. They had a lot of fun. Yesterday I finished up the kits and it felt so good. I think I’m on a roll again. Happy Monday.
🙂
So fun and super easy card! I am definitely going to CASE this card. Enjoy the day!
Yes, I have lots of Washi Tape ,but have not used it that much because #1— I am collecting it ,but won`t use much . #2…..I think I am getting the same obsession as I have for DSP (want to save it ) #3…..I have not gotten trendy enough to actually decorate my cards with it yet . (although I do use it on my envie flaps )
This card is cute cute and I plan on a major CASE ! My Mojo has been depleted by the heat and heavy humidity here ,but I think I am back ! Thank you Saint Susan !!!
Thanks for sharing that really cute card, Susan. I also am collecting washi tape and have used it sparingly. This pretty card inspires me to use it more. Have a great Monday.
This is a lovely yet simple card! I am also guilty of the washi tape collection. I think I will use this idea to start using it more. Thanks for inspiring us this morning!!
Yup! I love this card!!!? I only have five little rolls of washi tape that came together. Imagine that! I will be changing that very soon!
This card is so cleverly cute!!!! What an awesome idea to have some ready to pop a sentiment on and voila a quick card!!!! I have “a few” tapes; alright I have a lot…..and I got myself a beautiful Chrystal stemmed fishbowl to keep them in so I can enjoy them. I know there is something wrong with this picture…..haha?. But if it makes you happy…..right???? I have to ask…do you guys keep your washi tapes together with those metal notebook rings? I recently saw that being done but I like to mix and match…..just wondering.?
Fun and festive card. I have my share of washi tape – maybe we should call it wishy washi tape since a lot of us buy it and well, see Sonny’s comment! I actually ordered some of the new Midnight blue set of tapes at card club to use on some cards I really plan on making (honest)! They are really fun to use as you can reapply them if they are off kilter a bit and something about tearing them is fun too. I keep my collection (now doesn’t that sound like a good word?) in a plastic box that I have my sponge daubers in and some other things. Now, as I find them I need to put them all in that box! There was some in some PP kits and other kits too that I didn’t use up.
I think Susan is on to something with this idea about making up the components or applying the tapes and then maybe make several different sentiments and cut them out and put in a container then you would be ready to send it out quickly, of course I think I would need to add some postage stamps to the container so I would be prepared. I like this stamp set. You could stamp some THANKS, HAPPY DAY, and even the HOORAY could go with a birthday theme too. Or, use the new tapes that are in the holiday catalog and be ready for Christmas including some of the circles that say thanks when you need to send a thank you note. I think in someone’s haul I saw Halloween washi tapes too. I think I had better have some decaf ice tea, my brain is going into overdrive!
Oh My Gosh made a card in pink (been collecting for some time) this morning while waiting for the guys to come and do a termite inspection of the house. Can’t to go home tonight to make more. I need a half dozen thank you cards. I can see them in all colors. Must order from SU. Don’t Pop of Pink washi
Cute card. I, too, have lots of washi tape and have begun using it more and more. Yea! Wanted to make a quick comment on your llama card….adorable! Don’t know if you remember the TV show “Alf” about a stranded alien “being” who lives with a family on earth after his vehicle crashes into their garage. The daughter in the family (whose name escapes me) had a boyfriend whose name was Lloyd (pronounced as if it were La Loyd). What a great name for a “la lama”….La Loyd. The double letters in the name just kill me! Thought I would share. Keep up the great work, Susan. I enjoy stopping by your blog.
I remember the show but not La Loyd – that is just too funny. I watched old reruns a long time ago. I wonder if he is still on? I always wanted to know if he was a puppet, animated figure or a little person inside the costume. So life-like!
Very sweet. I love the colors in this paper pack. I hoard washi because I don’t really know what to do with it. Sadly all my SU washi got weird, like it wouldn’t unroll just one layer, it would peel off multiple layers but not be sticky. I had one other non-SU washi do that. A friend suggested it got too hot and sort of melted together. Could be I suppose. It isn’t exactly chilly in these parts.
There is something that’s irresistible about washi tape, and the price is perfect for purchasing roll after roll. I am going to CASE your card today, love it.
